Step 1 Warm-up:

a.让学生初步感知一般过去时.

b. 创设访谈节目录制现场的主题情境,引导学生走入情境。

Step 2 Revisions:

a. Say sentences with am/is/are

b. Say sentences with the words go, enjoy, like...

Step 3 Learn the new words:

a. Ask the pupils look at the phonetics read the new words freely.

b. Ask some try to read out.

c. Read one by one.

Step 4 Presentations:

a. The teacher says to the students: “I went shopping yesterday. I am having an English lesson now. ”

b. Ask the students how to use “went” the teacher gives them some help.

c. Ask them say sentences with went.

d. T: Every summer I go to Dalian, I go to Dalian by ship.

I often stay with my friends. I always have a good time

T: Last year, I went to Sanya. I went there by plane. I

stayed with my parents in Sanya .I had a good time.

Teaching steps:

Step 1 Revision:

a. Say or read out the diary they wrote yesterday.

b. Look at the word cards read and say sentences with some of them.

c. Say sentences with was, were.

1) Ask and answer in pairs with “How w as your holiday? It was... ”

2) Look at the pictures ask and answer in pairs like this:

---Where were you during your holiday?

---I was in/at....

---How was your holiday?

---It was...

Step 2 Presentations:
