而我们目前所要培养的主要是:在具备开展商务活动能力的同时,也能够参与会展策划和营销活动以及独立从事会展现场服务的人才。

能够参与会展策划和营销的人才需要熟悉会展运作流程:这包括:1.展前能够进行会展立项策划和会展项目可行性分析,参与展会筹备工作,如会展品牌形象策划,以及会展的立项、主题、招商、运营管理等方案的策划2.展中能进行展位营销,活动组织等一系列活动;3.展会后能写出向上级汇报的参展报告,具备一定的语言表达能力和沟通能力我们培养的会展现场服务人员,也并非是普通的服务人员。

会议现场服务人才发挥的舞台不再是“盘杯碗”,而是承接着会议现场各种智慧的碰撞交流,掌控现场秩序与效果,体现展会文化层次的优秀服务人才。

因此具有一定专业技术背景的大学毕业生,具备较好外语沟通和对展会主题的领悟能力,具备现场组织协调能力,能自如地运用外语进行沟通的会场现场服务人员也是我们培养的对象。

相关证书:在根据我们学生的实际情况和本课程在商务英语专业中的课程定位,我们选取了以下两种适应学生能力要求以及学生自身情况的证书作为我们学生的执业资格。

1. 会展策划师(人保部颁发,国家职业资格):要求能够从事会展项目的市场调研、进行项目立项、招商、招展、预算与运营管理等方案的策划,项目销售以及现场运营管理的专业人员。

从事的主要工作包括:(1)会展(会议、展览、节事活动、场馆租赁、奖励旅游等)项目的市场调研;(2)会展的立项、主题、招商、招展、预算和运营管理等方案的策划;(3)会展项目的销售;(4)会展的现场运营管理。

(5)展会活动的全程策划协调。

由于中高级均要求有相关工作年限,因此我们主要报考的是初级,初级的报考条件是:院校在校生(含大三\大四生)。

2. 助理会展师(上海):助理会展策划师,报考条件为:连续从事本职业工作6年以上或大专以上学历或在校大学生,正好我们的学生也符合报考条件。

2. 课程性质定位《会展英语》是商务英语专业的一门专业拓展课,这门课我们设在第五学期,这个时候,学生已经完成了《商务文化交际》、《国际贸易实务与流程处理》、《商务英语翻译》等先导课程,对整体的商务流程有了大概了解,再来加设《会展英语》这样一门实用性、实践性很强的专业课,对于学生的上手操作和技能多样化的培养起到了非常重要的作用。

同时我们在第五学期也平行开设了《国际商务谈判》,训练学生在展会营销中与可会洽谈合作的能力。

教学环节环环相扣,学生能力的培养水到渠成。

这些都是在根据市场人才需求的变化,为了我们的学生能够在市场竞争中更有竞争力,也是为了依托咸宁的特色地方经济,开发“温泉养生+会展商务”新型商旅项目而适时增加的特色课程。

二.课程设计1.课程目标设计:我们培养的主要是:在具备开展商务活动能力的同时,也能够参与会展策划和营销活动以及独立从事会展现场服务的人才。

因此在我们的课程重点在于培养学生,具备以下能力:能够参与制定参展预算和参展计划方案能够参与制定参展预算和参展计划方案;独立撰写英文邀请函,邀请客户观展;独立在展台接待参观客户;独立在展台和客户进行简单的商务谈判;独立在展会现场收集来访客户和竞争对手信息;能够在展会后独立写出向上级汇报的参展报告,与客户进行追踪联系,参与签订国际商务合同另外在培养学生专业能力的同时,我们也会对学生的职业素养进行锻炼,我们深知,只有具备了良好的职业素质和修养,才能将掌握的职业能力发挥的淋漓尽致。

在课堂中适时地设置一些项目来培养学生的公关,组织,协调,创新及风险承受能力和分析问题,解决问题的能力。

这些潜在的能力对学生职业能力的长久发展,起着至关重要的作用。

4.课程内容结构选取:我们以东北财经大学出版社出版的《会展英语》为主,辅以《进出口贸易综合实训教程》(对外经济贸易出版社李二敏主编),《会展英语》(上海交通大学出版社)等相关教材整合了:展前准备、展中实施,展后跟踪和会议四个部分的内容。

展前要准备充分。

在公司参展目标框架下拟订详细的参展计划和参展预算;利用公司和主办方的渠道和资源将参展信息有效地传递给潜在观众,发出邀请;知晓展会观众跨文化差异和保持规范的展会礼仪;布置展位,实训演练。

展中积极实施,在展会现场收集观众信息、行业信息和竞争对手信息;介绍推介展品、与有意向的客户进行商务谈判争取现场接单以及组织一些会展现场的交流活动;展后及时追踪跟进潜在客户,做好展后分析总结工作。

会议:主要指的是筹备国际会议,我们之所以还有这样的内容,是因为筹备国际会议跟国际会展有着非常密切的联系,筹备国际会议同时也是一个涉及很多因素和方面的重要过程,包含会址的选择、会议预算、会议宣传、参会人员的通知安排、会议的许可证、会议所需要的设备等等。

能很好的锻炼学生的公关、组织、协调能力。

因此,国际会议的筹备,安排也是我们的教学内容之一。

三.课程实施1.学情分析在学校经过两年英语专业只是学习,以及相关专业课程,比如《商务文化交际》《国际贸易实务与流程处理》《商务印翻译》的相关专业课程的学习,学生已经具备了一定的商务知识和商务英语基础。

但是对会展活动的认识还不够,对课程重视不够,对单程的课堂理论教学参与的积极性也不高。

针对以上情况,在课程觉得教学设计环节我们就要尽量让学生了解本行业的职业前景,让学生认识到,会展是和他们未来将要从事的商务活动密切相关的职业技能,并且设计实训项目,体会其中乐趣,自然也提高了学生的学习积极性。

2. 教学模式与手段鉴于《会展英语》是一门实践性较强的课程,纯粹依托课本的讲解是无法达到我们的预期教学效果的,因此我采取了“任务驱动—仿真模拟”的教学方法。

我们将整个教学内容分为展前,展中,展后和会议四个部分,我在教学过程中设定一个具体的会展项目作为整个内容的主导线,。

从展前的计划、组织、邀请。

到展中的客户接待、现场营销、商务谈判、订立合同,组织活动,再到展后的客户跟踪,总结分析,中间穿插会议的组织、安排。

内容学完了,一个完整个的会展流程也就完成了(我们安排大约34个学时完成第一遍的串讲),在这个活动中,每个学生都是会展的参与者,既调动了学生的积极性,也使得学生能够真实的感受会展的操作流程。

接着我们再根据这个流程,反复进行实训项目的操作(我们花30个课时,设定三个实训项目),每十个实训学时完成一个项目,分小组互评互比,同时也让学生进行会展组织者和会展参与者的角色交换,设置问题,找出解决方案,最后由老师总结。

这样一个学期下来,学生一共可以完成4个完整的会展操作项目,对会展的流程已相当熟悉。

实训环节的设置也锻炼了学生在会展操作过程中分析问题,解决问题的能力。

职业技能和职业素养同时得到了提高。

由于《会展英语》开设在第五学期,这一学期,学生会有一段时间在酒店实习,我在学生的酒店实习期间,也会布置一些实训任务,设定一些会展活动,让学生观察自己所在的酒店,设计会展方案。

这种有真实场景的方案设计更能激发学生的兴趣和创造力。

有些学生就会有开发和建设临时水上展厅,提议加装各种自由伸缩的临时展台等特别有趣的想法。

给我们的教学也带来了很多快乐和惊喜。

学生在这些模拟的实践中付出了汗水,也收获了快乐。

当然我们在教学的期间,也会带领学生参加真正的展会项目,这是我带领商务英语专业的三名同学参加在温泉谷大酒店举办的“联想——英特尔商用产品解决方案推介会”的会前策划,安排和会议接待工作。

学生身临其境的参与,让他们对会展工作的细节有了更全面,细致的了解。

课程考核:除了利用对对具体项目的兴趣项目来激励学生的积极性,把项目的实施成绩纳入到期末考核,也不失为一种好的激励方式。
