一、网球运动的起源、传播与发展(Origin) 网球起源于12-13世纪的法国，后来英国人 据此发展为现在意义上的网球（Tennis）。 现代网球运动的历史从1873年开始。英国的 温菲尔德(Winfield) 把早期的网球打法加以 改进，成为现在的草地网球（Lawn Tennis），并被称为“近代网球的创始人”。
ITF：International Tennis Federation的英文缩写， 即国际网球联合会，成立于1911年。国际网联总部 位于伦敦，其主要职责是负责有关网球比赛的一切 事务；制订与修改网球规则；为发展中国家的网球 教练开设培训班；协调世界青年、成年和老年网球 比赛。例如每年都要组织100项青少年比赛，还组 织16岁以下的国际男、女青年团体赛，取名 “世界 青年杯赛"。 国际网联负责组织世界上的两大团体 赛，即戴维斯杯赛（男子）和联合会杯赛（女子）； 负责四大满贯以及奥运会网球比赛等。
