浅谈中小学英语教材中的课文标题

浅谈中小学英语教材中的课文标题作者:白建民来源:《新课程·中学》2011年第06期摘要:标题是文章的主旨,是文章主要内容的高度凝练和浓缩。
它像人的眼睛一样,只要你读懂了它,也就知晓了文章大意的三分之一。
精炼的标题准确、生动、醒目,富有感染力,能引人注意,激起读者的兴趣。
关键词:英语;课文;标题在中小学英语教学中,课文标题常被人忽视。
本文拟对中小学英语教材中课文标题的特点作一粗浅的分析,仅作教学参考。
一、课文标题的构成1.用故事情节作标题。
中国古代的长篇小说就有章回标题,这些小标题提纲挈领,抓住内容要点,让读者一看就能略知大意,就怦然心动,爱不释手。
初中英语教材Learning English (冀教版)教科书中,每单元都围绕一个话题,从不同的角度和侧面分别展现人物活动,叙述故事情节。
单元之间前呼后应,衔接紧密,过渡自然,使整个一册书乃至整个教材内容构成了一个完整的故事。
如: Student Book 2 (以下用“SB”表示Student Book)中围绕李明的活动,八单元依次用了以下单元标题:A Trip to Beijing -On the Train -Having Fun in Beijing - Did You Have Nice Trip?- Li Ming Goes to Canada - Winter in Canada - Sports and Good Heath - Li Ming Goes Home 。
2.用简单句子作标题。
标题常常简短明快,不枝不蔓,给人以简洁之美。
如LearningEnglish(冀教版)中的Li Ming Asks for Permission (SB2. lesson 30),What Does Life Mean?(SB3. lesson 33)。
3.用短语、词组或单词作标题。
为了精简、醒目,英语标题中也常用不完整的句子。
在教材中使用短语或词组,甚至单词作标题的例子也屡见不鲜。
