一、全册教材分析
这套教材采用 “以题材为纲的功能 -结构 -运用性任务体系 ” 编写，着重培养学生运用英语的能力，同时体现外语教学的跨文化教育本
质，坚持兴趣第一的原则， 做到现实与未来相结合，并体现国家教育部规划项目 “中小学英语教育动态真实原则研究与实验 ”所获得的优秀科研成果。
这套教材是供小学六年级下学期使用的，全书共分 11 个模块，
内含一个期末复习模块。每个模块仍然根据以前数册的惯例，各分 2
课时。一般情况下，第一模块呈现本单元所要学习的语言内容，第二
单元提供若干任务型（ Task -based）练习，包括一首歌谣或小诗。歌
谣和小诗的学习，目的有三：一是培养学生的语感和节奏感；二是提
高发音的正确性； 三是通过这些英语国家儿童所熟知的歌谣， 介绍一
定的西方文化。 其中的一些不常用单词， 不要求学生在歌谣之外学会
使用。在本册中，我们将继续和 Daming 一起了解美国，然后了解
Daming 回到中国之后为小学毕业、升入中学学习做的准备。并了解
一些关于英国的情况。 我们将全面复习以前已以学习过的知识、 技能、能力，对小学英语学习进行全面的巩固， 为在中学进一步学习英语打好坚实的基础。 课文中呈现了一些新的语法内容， 但不要求老师讲解语法知识，更不要求学生掌握语法知识， 而是要求学生初步学会运用
这些语句。
因此，整套教材都始终注意培养学生的学习方法、创新能力、主体意识、独立工作能力、逻辑思维能力、观察判断能力等。练习的设计尽可能按照运用任务设计， 避免单纯的模仿和机械的重复或脱离上下文的孤立的猜选； 练习题的内容尽可能激发学生的兴趣和好奇心以及求知欲。
