关于选拔赴新加坡国立大学交换学生的通知

根据《山东大学与新加坡国立大学学生交换计划协议书》，我校今年将选派2名学生赴新加坡国立大学留学一个学期。项目有关事项如下：

一、项目介绍

1、入学日期：2007年2 月下旬

2、学习专业：可根据对方的专业设置及英文授课课程选学与自己专业相近的课程，网址：.sg

3、授课语言：英语

4、学分认定：交换学生在该校参加所修课程的考试，由该校提供考试成绩报告单，我校依据成绩单并按本校规定给予学分。

二、选派数额：2名

三、相关费用

1、新加坡国立大学免收交换生的学费，其他费用如注册费、住宿费、生活费、

学生活动费、出国手续费、健康医疗保险费用及国际旅费等由学生自理。详情请查阅网站:

2、交换学生应向山东大学正常交纳学费。

四、报名

1.报名条件：

（1）全日制04、05级本科生。（不含口腔医学、法学、医学、建筑学专业）

（2）身体健康，能圆满完成学习任务。

（3）学习成绩优秀，平均分数不低于 70 分；或成绩为专业前1/3

（4）有较高的英语水平。a. [TOEFL] 不低于笔考600，机考250

b. [IELTS] 不低于6.5

（5）具备适应受访大学环境的能力、兴趣和成熟个性。

（6）具有足够资金承担其在受访大学的包括个人生活费在内的各项费用。

Student Exchange Programme

Overview

Eligibility

The National University of Singapore [NUS] has established an agreement or memorandum of understanding [MOU] for student exchange programmes [SEP] with partner universities on an equal exchange-basis. The SEP at NUS is administered by the NUS Registrar's Office [RO]. The University's SEP partner universities are listed on the NUS Homepage at .sg/SEP.

Only exchange students of these SEP partner universities will be eligible to apply for admission as an Exchange Student of NUS on a non-graduating [NG] basis.

Exchange students from SEP partner universities admitted as NG Exchange Students of NUS may pursue:

a. undergraduate or graduate course-work, where they are permitted to

participate in the practical components (e.g. tutorials, laboratories, fieldwork, etc.) of the modules/courses; &/or

b. graduate research, where they will be supervised for the period of research. The mode and duration of the SEP may be for:

a. course-work for a semester or an academic year (2 semesters);

b. research for periods of 17-weeks each; or

c. a period as agreed with the SEP Partner University or under the SEP MOU. Only candidates, who have been admitted to Semester 1 &/or Semester 2 and already issued the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority [ICA] SP may apply to extend their registration.

University Calendar

The academic year is from end-July until beginning-May of the next calendar year. There are 13 teaching weeks, followed by 1 week for revision and 2 weeks for examinations. There is a 10-week vacation between academic years.

The University Calendar, which shows the semesters, recesses, examinations, vacations and holidays, is on the RO's Homepage at .sg/registrar.

Modularization

The Faculties of Arts & Social Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering and Science, as well as the Department of Building and Department of Real Estate of the School of Design & Environment have modularized their course-work and conduct modules.

The Faculties of Dentistry, Law and Medicine, as well as the Department of Architecture of the School of Design & Environment, however, have not modularised their course-work, and, therefore, only conduct courses.

Unless the Faculty/School is fully modularised, exchange students from SEP partner universities will only benefit from attending a course in both Semesters 1 and 2. Module description
