因此，我们对教材内容进行单元整合，以卡通人物Dora 为主线，把本单元分成“Making friends with Dora”，“Going to the zoo with Dora” ,“Being a volunteer with Dora”三个课时，通过和Dora交朋友，和Dora一起学、唱、跳、游，帮助她找好朋友Boots;一起游览动物园;和Dora一起当志愿者去帮助别人。

本单元的授课对象五年级学生。
他们此前在4AM4U9 At home 学习了under, in, on, beside 等介词以及Where is it？It’s…的核心句型。
在4AM4U10 Around my home 已学过部分关于地点的单词，如：shop, park, supermarket, restaurant, street等以及Is there a …… near …?等核心句型描述家周边的公共场所和家所在的位置。

因此，我们对教材内容进行单元整合，以小女孩Crystal（老师的女儿）为主线，把本单元分成“Helping Crystal get to the zoo”，“Going to the zoo with Crystal” ,“Being a volunteer with Crystal”三个课时，通过帮助Crystal去动物园，和Crystal 一起学、唱、跳、游，一起游览动物园；和Crystal一起当志愿者去帮助别人。
让学生在不同语境中的学习新知，并把所学的语言知识应用到生活实际中去，完成本单元的教学目标。

教学内容：（Look and learn, Ask and answer,Draw and say部分句型）
第一课时文本话题是Helping Crystal get to the zoo，学习词汇：toy shop, flower shop, hospital, post office，left, right, between, excuse等。
学习句型：Walk along…Turn left/right. Go straight, Excuse me. How do I get to……? Is that right?等。
将课本内容融合后进行文本再构，通过帮助Crystal，和Crystal一起学习,一起听、说、演、唱、游，并帮助Crystal找她的动物园门票,并陪她买完玩具。
让学生在在故事的发展中利学习单词、短语及学习有关如何问路及指路的句型。
教学目标：
◆掌握字母字母组合sp, sw, st在单词中的发音。
◆能听、说、读、写toy shop, flower shop, hospital, post office，quite等新单词。
◆能用Excuse me. How do I get to……?问路。
◆能用Walk along…Go straight. Turn left…Turn righ t等核心句型去指路。
◆打扰别人时懂得用Excuse me。
◆能用Is that right?来确认信息的对错。
教学重点：
1.词汇：toy shop, flower shop, hospital, post office，left, right, between, excuse等单词的音形义的统一。
2.句型：Walk along…Turn left/right. Go straight, Excuse me. How do I get to……? Is that right?等
教学难点：
◆核心单词和核心词汇等如何达到音形义的统一。
◆在实际生活中如何应用所学的知识去问路及指路。
◆能在不同的情境中进行问答。
教学过程：
1，老师连续用几个问答追问学生：T:Who is she?Do you like crystal?Do you want to make friends with Crystal? 并出示课题。
4.老师对学生说帮助Crystal找到动物园门票。
5.祝贺学生已成功通过考验。
Crystal的门票找到了。
6.老师告诉学生Crystal想去买玩具。
老师提问Where is Crystal’s ticket?PPT出示单词left和right，跟读录音，学习并理解其含义。
提示学生left左边的l有一个向左的
箭头，右边的right右边的一横可以用向右的箭头表示。
7.教授新单词between。
T:Look at the picture. Father is on left. Mother is on right. Baby is between father and mother.
8.老师出示left，right和between单词卡或说这几个单词。
9.老师告诉学生Crystal的门票有可能在。
让学生根据Crystal的提示去找。
(1) 学习walk along.。
turn go 老师沿着两组之间的通道走，演示walk along 的含义，同时操作PPT，让学生通过图解加深理解。
(2)用同样的方法去学习turn left，turn right及go straight。
老师最好能用交警指挥的标准手势或机器人的动作来表示短语。
(3)到达终点，老师出示Crystal的门票。
10.老师示范如何唱歌和跳兔子舞。
11.创设情境。
老师告诉告诉学生：帮助Crystal 购买礼物
（1）导入新单词toy shop。
归纳oy的发音，图解单词toy shop。
Toy shop 附近有其它的一些店铺，引出flower shop等。
