1．以小组合作与情景教学为主，运用游戏帮助学生理解与运用所学知识；
2．指导学生通过听音获取正确的信息，掌握一定的听音技巧。

本单元介绍的是冰天雪地的北极生活，同学们将走进北极熊的故乡，在这里，住着加拿大最北端的因纽特人。生活在这里的人们有着和我们完全不同的生活！通过本单元帮助学生了解北极的气候特点和人们的行、住以及北极的一部分很典型的动物。
【教学重点】
学习关于北极天气和动物的词汇以及句型。
【教学难点】
学生能通过听音获取正确的信息；能指认重点单词、句型以及语法 ；能与伙伴们学说歌谣、角色表演，发现其他的不同文化。
