Changed by the Internet
文本简析
本单元阅读文本的话题是互联网对人们的积极影响：互联网不但给人们的生活带来便利，而且能促进人与人之间的相互帮助，使人们变得更加强大。
该文本是叙事性文本，讲述了英国一位名叫简的英语教师辞职后，借助互联网得到了帮助，并主动帮助他人的事例。从表层意义讲，文本讲述了互联网是如何改变人们的生活方式的；从深层意义来看，本文进一步表达互联网带给人与人之间的“连锁反应”：互联网作为媒介，连接着人与人之间的互助，激发着人们积极向上的正能量，传递着人们之间的互相关爱。全文共五段，文本结构清晰。第一段阐明了互联网带给人们的积极影响；第二、三、四段讲述了简失业在家及接触互联网后心理和行为上的变化；第五段通过简自己的话语，解释了她愿意帮助别人的原因，体现了相互帮助带来的积极效应。

设计思路 本次授课内容为新教材必修二第三单元的阅读课，但新教材的阅读课不仅仅是阅读课，而是阅读与思考相结合。作为英语学科核心素养的重要组成部分，思维品质应当是高中英语教学的重中之重。而阅读是培养学生思维品质的有效途径。新教材强调主题意义探究的语言实践活动，主题意义的探讨与深度学习密不可分。新教材Reading and Thinking部分的设计正是为了突出阅读教学与思维品质培养的结合。教师在阅读中除了注重文本解读，还应提升学生的学习能力和培养学生的思维品质，落实英语学科核心素养的要求和立德树人的根本任务。
因此，本人从英语学习活动观的视角，在本次阅读教学中，教师注重文本解读，启发式地引导学生观察、分析、比较、批判、评价等，注重学生的阅读体验和深度学习，为提升学生学习能力和培养学生思维品质搭建良好平台。

【教学目标】
1. Guide students to understand the content of listening texts in terms of listening
for definitions.
2. Cultivate students’ ability to define words and understand an investigation
interview.

to maintain the conversation appropriately.
