本单元的中心话题是“研究科学”——LookintoScience,整个单元围绕“科学研究”展开，而本课是关于复活节庆祝活动的内容，从内容来看，它在本单元中是孤立的，既不承前，也没启后。
但它在本单元衔接前后两个抽象的科学实验，像课间的十分钟，能调节学生疲惫的神经，放松紧张的气氛，激发他们的学习热情，为他们学习后半单元做准备。
