关于节日的英语作文,包括节日在什么时候

关于节日的英语作文,包括节日在什么时候全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite Holiday: Christmas!Christmas is my most favorite holiday of the whole year! It's the best time ever. I love everything about it - the decorations, the treats, the presents, and spending time with my family. Christmas is just the greatest!Christmas happens every year on December 25th. That's right in the middle of winter when it's all cold and snowy outside. But inside, everything is so warm, cozy, and cheerful for Christmas. We decorate our whole house with bright lights, shiny ornaments, and a huge Christmas tree! My brother and I love helping mom and dad put up the tree and hang ornaments on it. We make popcorn strings to wrap around the tree too. It's so much fun!At school, we also decorate our classroom for Christmas. We make paper snowflakes and paper chains to hang up. We color pictures of Santa Claus, reindeer, and presents to tape on the windows. Our teacher reads us fun Christmas stories too. Myfavorite is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" It's a story about a grumpy, green monster who tries to ruin Christmas, but in the end he learns that Christmas is really about love, not just presents. In the weeks before Christmas, we also get to do lots of special Christmas activities. We go pick out a fresh-cut Christmas tree from the tree farm. We make gingerbread houses and decorate them with candies and frosting. We bake dozens and dozens of Christmas cookies like sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and peanut butter cookies with the fun Hershey's Kisses on top. Yum! My favorite are the sugar cookies that we decorate with colored icing and sprinkles.Another fun Christmas tradition is seeing all the beautiful light displays people put up on their houses. My parents drive my brother and me around town looking at the bright, colorful lights every year. Some people even have huge light-up sculptures like Santa or reindeer in their yards! It's like a magical winter wonderland. We drink hot chocolate in the car to keep us warm as we drive around admiring the lights. But the most exciting part of Christmas is Christmas Eve and Christmas morning! On Christmas Eve, we go to my grandparents' house for a big fancy dinner. All my aunts, uncles, and cousins come too. We eat delicious food like roast turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. After dinner, we sit around and open presents from our family. I always get new pajamas to wear to bed that night! Then, when we get home, we set out milk and cookies for Santa by the fireplace. We hang up our Christmas stockings too. My stocking always has my name written on it in glitter. Before going to bed, we get to open one present - it's always new pajamas! We change into our new cozy pjs and head to bed, trying our best to fall asleep fast so Santa will come.I never really sleep much on Christmas Eve because I'm too excited for the next morning! I wake up super early, like 5 am, and run to see if Santa ate the cookies we left out. He always does and leaves behind a mess of crumbs! Then I go wake up my parents so we can go see what Santa brought. We run downstairs and the living room is magical - filled with a twinkling tree and presents spilling out from underneath it! We take turns opening our gifts one by one. We always get the best toys and games. Last year I got a huge Lego set, a arts and crafts kit, books, and some warm fuzzy slippers. My stocking is stuffed full of little treats and trinkets from Santa too - chocolate coins, a yo-yo, stickers, and those orange Circus Peanut candies. After opening all the presents, we relax, play with our new toys, watch Christmas movies, and eat lots of yummy holiday snacks. It's the coziest, most wonderful day. By the end, I'm feeling sleepy from staying up so late and having such an exciting morning. I always fall asleep hugging my favorite new toys.Christmas is just the most amazing time of year. From start to finish, it's filled with fun activities, yummy treats, family time, and of course, plenty of presents! To me, the spirit of love and giving is really what Christmas is all about. It's a beautiful holiday that I look forward to every single year. Christmas will always be my absolute, hands-down favorite!篇2My Favorite HolidaysHolidays are the best days of the year! They are way more fun than regular school days. On holidays, I don't have to wake up early or do homework. Instead, I get to spend the whole day playing and having a good time with my family. Yay!My absolute favorite holiday is Christmas. It happens on December 25th every year. A few weeks before Christmas, my family puts up a huge Christmas tree in our living room. Wedecorate it with lots of shiny ornaments and colorful lights. It looks so pretty and festive! We also hang up stockings by the fireplace for Santa Claus to fill with presents. On Christmas Eve, we leave out cookies and milk for Santa. Then in the morning, we wake up to find that Santa has come! There are presents under the tree and candy in our stockings. My little sister and I can hardly wait to start ripping open the gifts. We both hope to get lots of fun new toys to play with. After opening our presents, my family gets together for a big Christmas dinner. We have a delicious turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie for dessert. My favorite part is the pie – I could eat the whole thing if my parents would let me! We also watch Christmas movies together after dinner and drink hot chocolate with marshmallows. Christmas is seriously the coziest, most wonderful day!Another holiday I really enjoy is Thanksgiving. It happens on the fourth Thursday of November. For Thanksgiving, the whole extended family comes over to my grandparents' house. All of the aunts, uncles, and cousins get together to eat a huge meal. We have turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, and lots of different pies like pumpkin, apple, and pecan. Everything is so yummy! Before we eat, we go around the table and say what we are thankful for. I'm always thankful for my family, my friends, my dog Sparky, and fun holidays like Thanksgiving. It makes me happy to be surrounded by all of my favorite people while we stuff ourselves full of amazing food. After dinner, us kids like to go outside and play games like football or tag until it's time for dessert. Mmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!My third favorite holiday is Halloween. It happens on October 31st. For Halloween, I get to dress up in a fun costume and go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood with my friends. We ring doorbells and yell "Trick or treat!" Whenever a door opens, we hold out our bags or pumpkin pails to have candy dropped inside. It's so exciting to see what kinds of treats we'll get at each house. My favorite candies to get are chocolate bars, gummies, and lollipops. I always eat wayyyy too much candy on Halloween night and get a stomachache, but it's worth it because the candy is so good! Halloween is also a lot of fun because we get to carve pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns to put candles inside. My pumpkin carvings usually turn out looking pretty silly and weird, but I love doing it anyway. Those are definitely my top three favorite holidays. Christmas is #1 since I love the tree, presents, and yummy food. But Thanksgiving and Halloween are pretty great too. No matter which holiday it is, I'm always excited to be out of school and to spend quality time celebrating with my family. Holidays are just the best days ever! I can't wait for the next one to roll around.篇3My Favorite HolidaysHolidays are the best! They're times when we get to take a break from school and regular life. My family has fun traditions for all the big holidays during the year. I'm going to tell you about my three favorite holidays and what makes each one so special.Christmas (December 25th)My absolute favorite holiday is Christmas! It comes at the end of the year, right in the middle of winter. I love the cold weather, snuggling up inside with hot chocolate, and all the twinkling lights and decorations everywhere.A few weeks before Christmas, we go pick out a huge real tree for our living room. We spend an afternoon decorating itwith ornaments, tinsel, and lights. It looks and smells so wonderful! My mom always bakes dozens of Christmas cookies too - sugar cookies shaped like trees and stars, gingerbread people, and more. Our house is warm and cozy and smells amazing. On Christmas Eve, we get to open one present each before bed. Then in the morning, we wake up super early to see what Santa brought! I still believe in Santa even though some kids at school say he's not real. How else could all those presents get under the tree? We spend Christmas morning in our pajamas, eating a special breakfast casserole and opening all the gifts. In the afternoon, we have a huge dinner with both sides of our family - turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pie for dessert.I love the traditions, the decorations, spending time with family, and of course, the presents! Getting new toys and books is great. But I also really enjoy giving gifts to others and seeing them open what I picked out. Christmas is definitely my super favorite holiday.Halloween (October 31st)My next favorite holiday is Halloween! It's a fun time at the end of fall when we get to dress up in costumes and gotrick-or-treating for candy around the neighborhood.A few weeks before, my friends and I work on planning our costumes. We look through magazines and websites for ideas for a funny group theme. One year we all went as different flavors of ice cream. Another time, we were the main characters from our favorite book series. My parents help make or buy parts of the costumes. On Halloween night, we get to parade around in our costumes showing them off. We ring doorbells and say "Trick or treat!" then get buckets full of all kinds of candy - chocolate bars, gummies, hard candies, you name it. We have to be home before it gets too late and dark out, but we cover a lot of ground in our neighborhood. When we get back, we sort through our candy piles while watching spooky movies and shows. I love the scary decorations too - carved pumpkins, fake graveyards, giant hairy spiders. And the costumes are my favorite part for sure. I'm already looking forward to planning next year's costume with my friends!Fourth of July (July 4th)My third favorite holiday is the Fourth of July, which celebrates the birthday of America. It's a fun summer celebration right in the middle of summer vacation from school. On the Fourth, we have a big backyard barbecue during the day. We grill up hamburgers and hot dogs and have picnic foods like potato salad, corn on the cob, watermelon and more. My cousins come over and we run around playing outside games like frisbee or tag football. In the evening once it gets dark, we have sparklers and snack on red, white and blue popsicles. But the best part is definitely the fireworks show! We pack up blankets and chairs and drive to a park nearby that puts on a huge fireworks display. We claim a good spot on the grass and watch as all the colorful fireworks light up the night sky set to patriotic music. I'll never get tired of the bright bursts, the booming sounds, and all the "oohs" and "ahhs" from people watching. We get home very late, but it's totally worth it.The Fourth of July is a great summer celebration with amazing food, family fun, and of course the spectacular fireworks finale. I look forward to it every year!So those are my three favorite holidays - Christmas, Halloween, and the Fourth of July. They're all great in different ways with special traditions, decorations, fun activities andyummy treats. I have such happy memories celebrating each of these holidays with my family every year. What are your favorite holidays? I'd love to hear about your traditions!篇4My Favorite HolidaysHello, my name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite holidays! Holidays are the best days of the year because you get presents, eat delicious food, and spend time with your family. Let me share with you the holidays I love the most.ChristmasMy absolute favorite holiday is Christmas! It happens on December 25th every year. A few weeks before Christmas, my family puts up a huge Christmas tree in our living room and decorates it with lights, ornaments, and tinsel. It looks so pretty and sparkly! On Christmas Eve, we leave out cookies and milk for Santa Claus. When I wake up on Christmas morning, the presents under the tree are magically opened! I rush downstairs to see what Santa brought me. One year I got a puppy - it was the best present ever! After opening gifts, we have a big Christmas dinner with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pie for dessert. Yum!EasterAnother holiday I really enjoy is Easter. It's in the spring, sometime between March and April. A few days before Easter, my mom hard boils a bunch of eggs and me and my little sister get to color them with fun dye. We make designs like polka dots, stripes, and smiley faces. It's so much fun! On Easter morning, we wake up and search all over the house and yard for more eggs filled with candy and little toys that the Easter Bunny hid overnight. After the egg hunt, we have an Easter feast with ham, cheesy potatoes, and my favorite Easter candy - Cadbury eggs! The best part is biting into the chocolate shell to get the gooey cream filling inside. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!HalloweenHalloween on October 31st is the next holiday I get really excited for. A few weeks beforehand, my dad takes me to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. We carve it at home, carefully scooping out the insides and cutting out scary or silly faces. Then we put a candle inside and set it on our porch to light up the night. On Halloween, I dress up in the most elaborate costume I can think of - one year I was a dinosaur, another year a wizard! Me and my friends go trick-or-treating, ringing doorbells and yelling "Trick or treat!" Neighbors give uscandy like chocolate bars, lollipops, and gummies. At the end of the night, I have a huge pile of sugary loot. I try my hardest to make it last for weeks and not eat it all at once!My BirthdayWhile not an official holiday, my birthday is a day I celebrate just like one! I was born on July 15th. A few days before, my mom has me make a wish list of all the toys, games, books, and other gifts I want to receive. Then on my birthday, I wake up to a room decorated with colorful balloons and streamers. My parents make me my favorite breakfast - chocolate chip pancakes! After stuffing myself, I open all my presents. In the afternoon, we have a party and all my friends come over. We play fun games like pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey and have pizza, cake, and ice cream. At night, we have a sleepover and stay up late watching movies and eating snacks. Birthdays are the best! Those are some of my favorite holidays. I get so excited counting down the days until each one. Holidays mean no school, getting dressed up, eating yummy food, giving and receiving presents, and making wonderful memories with my family and friends. They're the happiest days of the year for a kid like me! What are your favorite holidays? I hope you enjoy them just asmuch as I do! Thanks for reading my essay. Okay, gotta go - there's a pumpkin pie in the oven calling my name. Mmm!篇5My Favorite HolidaysHi there! My name is Tommy and I'm going to tell you all about my favorite holidays. There are so many fun holidays throughout the year and I love celebrating them! One of my favorite holidays is Christmas. Christmas is celebrated on December 25th every year. It's a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. But even if you aren't Christian, Christmas is still a really fun time!A few weeks before Christmas, my family puts up our Christmas tree. It's so much fun decorating the tree with lights, ornaments, and a star or angel on top. We also hang up stockings and put out other decorations around the house. On Christmas Eve, me and my siblings leave out milk and cookies for Santa Claus. Santa is this jolly guy who delivers presents to kids all over the world on Christmas Eve night while we're sleeping. We always wake up on Christmas morning so excited to see what Santa brought us!We open our presents in the morning, taking turns one at a time. After all the gifts are opened, we have a huge Christmas breakfast with pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hot chocolate. Then we spend the whole day playing with our new toys and eating Christmas dinner and desserts. It's awesome!Another one of my favorite holidays is Halloween. Halloween happens on October 31st every year. It's a night filled with costumes, candy, and fun!A few weeks before Halloween, me and my friends start planning our costumes. We come up with all sorts of creative ideas like superheroes, monsters, animals and more. My mom or dad helps us make or buy our costumes. On Halloween night, we get to dress up in our costumes and go trick-or-treating! Trick-or-treating is when kids godoor-to-door in their neighborhood, ringing doorbells and saying "trick-or-treat!" When people open their doors, they give out candy to put in our bags or buckets. We try to collect as much candy as possible! After trick-or-treating, I get to show my family my whole haul of candy. We eat a few pieces and then ration the rest to make it last for weeks. Some of my friends have Halloweenparties too, where we play games, watch spooky movies, and bob for apples. Halloween is a super fun night! Those are two of my absolute favorite holidays, but there are so many more that I love too. Like Thanksgiving, where we get to eat a huge turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Or the 4th of July, when we watch fireworks and have backyard barbecues. Or my birthday, where I get presents and cake!No matter what holiday it is, I always look forward to celebrating with my family and friends. Holidays are the best time of year! They're filled with fun traditions, quality time together, and making happy memories that I'll never forget.Well, that's all I have to share about holidays for now. I hope you enjoyed learning about some of my favorite celebrations throughout the year. Let me know what holidays you like celebrating too!篇6My Favorite HolidaysHi! My name is Timmy and I'm going to tell you all about my favorite holidays. Holidays are the best days of the year because you get presents, eat yummy food, and don't have to go toschool! I like every single holiday but I'll tell you about the ones I like the most.Christmas is my number one favoritest holiday of all time! It comes on December 25th every year. A few weeks before Christmas, my family puts up a big tree in our living room and we decorate it with lights and ornaments. My little sister always tries to eat the ornaments but my mom tells her "No, those aren't cookies!" On Christmas Eve, we leave out milk and cookies for Santa. Then in the morning, there are presents under the tree from Santa! I always hope I get video games and Lego sets. After we open presents, we have a big turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pie for dessert. Yum!Next up is Halloween on October 31st. This is when you get to dress up in a costume and go trick-or-treating to get candy from your neighbors. Last year I was a scary zombie and my friend Jake was a firefighter. We rang doorbells and yelled "Trick or treat!" then people gave us handfuls of chocolates, lollipops, gummies and more. By the end of the night, my pumpkin bucket was overflowing with sugary goodness! When we got home, my dad inspected all the candy to make sure it wasn't poison or razor blades (just kidding, he was just checking for his favoritesto steal). Halloween is awesome but you have to be careful crossing the street at night. My third favorite holiday is Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November. The best part about Thanksgiving is the food! We have a huge turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, rolls, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. I always eat so much that I have to be rolled away from the table. Before we eat, we go around the table and everyone has to say what they are thankful for. I'm thankful for video games, my awesome dog Bingo, and not having any more baby teeth to lose. After we're done stuffing our faces, we either watch football or my uncle falls asleep on the couch. Thanksgiving rules!Fourth on my list of awesome holidays is the 4th of July. This holiday celebrates when the United States became an independent country way back in 1776. On the 4th of July, we have a barbecue in our backyard and invite all our friends and relatives over. We grill hot dogs and hamburgers and have potato salad, corn on the cob, watermelon and other picnic foods. When it gets dark, we go to the park to watch the big fireworks show. I love the fireworks because they are so colorful and loud! Red, white, blue, green and gold explosions in the sky.My dad always says "Keep your eye on the safety goggles, Timmy!" The best fireworks are the ones that whistle and crackle on the way up before they burst. Fireworks are so cool but also pretty dangerous if you don't watch out. Those are my four favorite holidays but I also like other holidays too. Easter is fun because you get to hunt for eggs filled with candy that the Easter Bunny hid all around your house and yard. On St. Patrick's Day everyone wears green so they don't get pinched and we eat green foods like green pancakes, milkshakes and shamrock shakes from McDonald's. For New Year's, we stay up late to watch the ball drop in New York at midnight and make resolutions (that I never keep). Valentine's Day is awesome because you get to give out cards and candy to your friends and classmates. Presidents' Day is a holiday off from school. I'm not really sure what it's for but I'll take it!Well, those are the main holidays we celebrate every year. Holidays are the best days ever because you get to sleep in, eat special foods, get presents sometimes, and spend time with your whole family. They are way better than regular school days, that's for sure! I can't wait for the next holiday to come around. If you could make up a new holiday, what would it be? I think I'd make a Holiday to Celebrate Video Games day! That would be the bestever. Okay, I have to go now and get ready for bed. Don't forget to be good so you get presents from Santa this year. Night night!。
