Unit 4 When is the art show?
第一课时
1、 本课时侧重于对时间的提问和对回答的口语训练，是在上一单元的基础上进一步学习对具体日期的提问和回答，所以教师要多进行情景对话训练，帮助学生认识本单元与上一单元对时间回答的不同之处。
2、 本课时涉及了序数词的相关知识，教师可以通过对句子的练习，加深学生对序数词的理解，为下一课时正式学习序数词打下基础。
第二课时
本课时主要学习表示顺序的序数词。教师从学生熟悉的基数词下手，引导学生学习序数词，注意指导学生灵活地学习并掌握基数词变序数词的规律，并能将此规律运用到情景交际中去。
第三课时
循环渐进教音标。在教了音标之后还要教会学生如何去拼读音标，先是单音节，再到双音节，再到多音节。认读单音节的时候可以制作一本音标台历本，通过翻动不同的辅音和元音配对，让学生拼读出配对后的音节，只有对单音节的拼读过关了，才能过渡到双音节和多音节的拼读。
第四课时
本课时的大部分内容叙事已在前面的课时当中接触过，所以该侧重于学生之间的情景对话练习，通过大量的对话练习巩固本单元的重点知识。
第五课时
在学生掌握了全部基数词变序数词的规律和序数词的缩写规律之后，结合书本的练习题，测试学生的掌握程度，并注意是否有缺漏的知识点；在完成 Let ’
s wrap it up 的题目时，对序数词和基数词用法的讲解，既是拓展，也是对旧知识的总结和复习。
第六课时
在小学英语的教学中，因为课文的简单易懂，所含的信息量少的缘故，很多小学英语教师忽视了文化对语言的影响，而导致了一些语言情景的不真实，和虚假的语言的产生。老师要有对英语词汇的准确理解，和对语言环境的认识把握，提高专业基本功。

教材分析 本单元分为三个板块：Part A Part B Part C,本单元学习的主题是中西方节日及个人生日，通过本单元的学习，同学们能够在语境中正确运用序数词，能够在情境中询问并回答某节日的日期，能够询问并回答有关生日日期的内容。
学情分析 五年级两个班的学生，虽然已经接触了两年英语，有一定的英语基础，但是两极分化情况较为严重，有的学生甚至连最基本的26个字母的书写都有问题，背单词是软肋。由于教材难度加大，学生的学习兴趣难以保持，因此要特别注意英语学习兴趣的继续保持，本学期应注重转化后进生，尤其是五一班的特困生相对较多，要好好利用四轮驱动的优势，因材施教，分层教学，保持并提高学生对英语学习的兴趣。
