一、教学设计思路
本课时的主要内容是Let’s read部分的短文理解。本课时中，教师可以首先通过本单元Let’s sing部分的歌曲和师生会话复习并导入；然后，通过让学生对教师过去的一次旅行日程安排进行提问，进而接触到本课时阅读短文中的中句型等；接着让学生分组完成阅读任务。最后，通过Let’s check对本单元的语言进行整体复习巩固。
二、教学目标
（一）知识
听、说、认读短文中的一些重点句子：It was a long holiday. We left Beijing
February 1st and got to Harbin on the 2nd. For the last day of the holiday, we relaxed
and prepared to go back to work or school.
完成Let’s find out的活动和Let’s check部分的练习。

在五年级上册Unit5/Unit6中，学生学习了There be 句型的（一般现在时）的陈述句、一般疑问句及其回答，在本册Unit2/Unit3学习了动词过去时的规则及不规则变化，并在本单元第一课时中初步学习运用 There be 句型的（一般过去时）谈论过去的事物，本节课将在此基础上学习运用There be 句型谈论或描述过去到现在发生的变化。
