He swore to himself to39.avoid music,as he hated getting to school extra early.
__40__,one day,in the music class that was 41.part of his school’s standard curriculum,he was playing idly (随意地) on the piano and found it 42.easy to pick out tunes.
40.A.Therefore B.However
C.Thus
D.Moreover

]
[例2](江苏高考)One day,while waiting to go in for 43.treatment,I had one of Dr.Bernie’s books in my hand.Another patient 44.noticed what I was reading and struck up a conversation with me __45__ he had one of his books with him as well.
45.A.while B.because
C.although
D.providing

]
[例3](江苏高考)He unfortunately 52.passed__away last year due to his cancer,__53__ he left a deep impression on me and gave me the 54.inspiration to pick up my pen again.I 55.thought to myself,“If he can do it,then so can I.”
53.A.since B.but
C.so
D.for

]
