第一单元是关于“节假日"的对话。Tony1ing1ingsBetty和Daming谈论中国的国庆节和美国的国庆节（也称为独立日）。该语篇学生以对话的形式谈论中国与美国的国庆节在哪一天、有几天的假期和家庭的主要活动等。在完成该部分的学习后，学生能够根据信息对两个国家的国庆节进行简单的介绍。
第二单元是一个语篇。主要培养学生的读、写能力。ACtiVity2部分是一篇有关“Thanksgiving”的介绍,作者从四部分给我们做了介绍：感恩节的时间、由来、如今的感恩节怎么过，感恩节的庆祝活动和一些方式。使我们充分了解感恩节，熟悉美国人的庆祝方式，从而学习文化习俗。
第三单元是把前两个单元出现的知识点和重点句型进行概括性的归纳和总结，使学生在学习时有了方向，能更好的掌握知识，明确学习目标。
本单元语篇主要围绕“ho1idays”这一主题开展，分别通过对话、阅读等形式来完成学习，掌握文中的日常交际用语，同时学习时间状语从句。学生在完成课本里包含的活动外，还要进一步提升自己的读、写能力。能够对中 国的某一节日做简单的介绍，感受我国文化的底蕴，培养学生热爱国家、名族的情怀。
