一、单元学习主题
本单元属于“人与社会”主题范畴中“社会服务与人际沟通”这一主题群,涉及子主题“和谐家庭与社区生活”。
二、单元内容分析
本单元分为Section A和Section B两部分,主要围绕话题“Your town”展开听、说、读、写、看等语言活动。
本单元共有两个主要语篇,第一个语篇是对话的形式,是Helen向新来的Greg介绍社区而展开的对话;第二个语篇简要介绍了达人秀的相关情况。
两个语篇不仅为我们传递了不同的语言知识和语篇知识,也引导学生了解彼此的喜好和家乡之最,培养学生热爱生活的意识。

五、教学媒体图片、电脑、投影仪六、教学过程1. 问题导入，引发学生的思考：教师可向学生展示一些交通工具的图片，并提出以下类似问题：你认识这些交通工具吗？你知道它们的英文名字吗？你每天是怎么来上学的呢？通过图片和问题引发学生的思考，呈现新知。
2. 完成任务，合作学习：教师可以给学生布置以下任务，让学生在完成任务的过程中掌握所学的知识。
任务一：Yes / No transportation quiz!学生分组活动或全班共同活动。
一个学生表演一些交通工具的特征，其他同学来提问，猜出是何种交通工具，表演的学生用yes / no回答。

三、教学方法与手段
（一）教学策略
我将采用任务型教学法、情境教学法和合作学习法作为主要教学方法。选择这些方法的理论依据如下：

Step 3问题探究1．形容词和副词最高级的构成1)hard hardest great greatest2)late latest nice nicest3)big biggest fat fattest4)easy easiest happy happiest5)beautiful most_beautifulinteresting most_interesting6)good best many most一般情况在词尾直接加est；以字母e结尾的只加st；重读闭音节词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写该辅音字母，再加est；以辅音字母＋y结尾的先变y为i再加est；在多音节和部分双音节词的词前加most或least；此外还有一些不规则变化的单词，需要我们特殊背诵。
2．最高级的用法1)我是我们班最高的。
I'm_the_tallest_in_our_class.2)他是三个人中跳得最高的。
He_jumps_highest_of_the_three_people.表示三者或三者以上的人或事物的比较，其中一个在某方面超过其他几个时，我们要用形容词或副词的最高级，在句子的后面可以用of (in)短语来表示比较的范围，形容词的最高级前面一般要加定冠词the。
副词最高级前面的the可以省去。
