本课主要介绍了三种交通工具的速度比较,并给出了一个李明和李明妈妈决定乘坐什么交通工具的简单对话。
2.教学目标《英语新课程标准》认为:小学阶段的英语课主要是激发学生学习英语的兴趣;培养学生对英语学习的积极态度,使他们建立学习英语的自信心;培养学生一定的语感和良好的语音、语调,为英语的进一步学习打下基础。
综合《英语课程标准》的教学理念,教材特点以及五年级学生的认知水平,本课主要有三个层次上的教学目标:在知识与技能上要求学生:会听,说,写,读单词,airplane ,train ,fast ,slow , faster than , take a bus ,by plane等单词和短语,并理解其含义。

3.教学的重点与难点根据上述教学目标,确定本课的教学重点为:1.掌握单词plane ,airplane ,train ,fast ,slow,熟读(或者背诵)课文。
灵活运用英语表述比较级句型,熟悉英语在乘坐交通工具中的固定搭配,进行“let’s go by train”英语会话。
其中,灵活运用比较级、熟悉交通工具的固定搭配和英语会话也是本课的教学难点。
二、教法、学法语言习得规律告诉我们,理解并记忆语法知识并不能保证学生能够正确使用语言,必须有大量的语言输出才能使学生掌握所学的语言。
为突破上述教学重点、难点,根据教材特点和学生情况,我采用直观演示法、情景模拟、对话练习相结合等方法,为学生创设学习英语情境;通过穿插的互动活动激发学生学习英语的兴趣,并在其中掌握知识、学会运用知识。

这样的结果是,孩子们可能看着课文会读,离开课本就基本上什么都不知道了。
因此,将课本(北京出版社)中的语句按照单词、语句每个都翻译,让孩子在朗读的时候就知道每个单词、每个句子的准确意思,明明白白地学习,十分有意义。

操作过后,让学生根据实际情况和学过的句型进行表达:给谁发了电子邮件。
这时候,学生会感到很容易就能把句子表达出来。
