建于1886年，埃菲尔铁塔是为了随后1889年万国博览会而建，当时的建筑师埃菲尔
就曾发豪语：我想为现代科学与法国工业的荣耀，建立一个像凯旋门那般雄伟的建筑! 因
此在自1887年到1931年纽约帝国大厦落成前，保持了45年世界最高建筑物的地位，目
前仍是巴黎最有名的地标，到处可见铁塔纪念品。
埃菲尔铁塔高320公尺，建筑设计最著名的是防范强风吹袭的对称钢筋设计，兼具实
用与美感考量。埃菲尔铁塔共分3层，随游客目的楼层不同而有不同的收费。抵达第2层时，先四周浏览一下巴黎的景色，这时高度还不算太高，可以清楚辨识出主要地标物，不过要继续攻顶的游客非常多，最好先加入排队等电梯的队伍，一边排队一边欣赏风景，比
较不会浪费时间，观光旺季时排队1、2个小时很平常。搭乘快速升降梯抵达274公尺高的
顶层后，就可以慢慢欣赏巴黎的景物了，白天视野佳时，可远眺72公里远。最佳建议在黄
昏时前往，可同时欣赏白天与夜晚不同景色，特别是灯火通明的凯旋门方向，令人目光不
忍稍移。铁塔建于1886年，两年后完工，高212.27公尺，后来又加了电视天线20公尺，使它成为巴黎最高的建筑。 要亲近铁塔，照巴黎地铁图来看，应该是在Champ De Mars
Tour Eiffel下车，但纯就景致来说，建议你在Trocadero下车比较好，因为一出地铁站
就是夏悠宫，走上夏悠宫阶梯前的展望台，可以望见塞纳河彼端的埃菲尔铁塔，铁塔的丑
陋都因远观而化为美好了。
