At the same time its culture has also experienced a remarkable transformation. Some Indecent or "empty" live broadcasts are flourishing in various forms. What is even more worrisome is that some adolescents regard being an online celebrity as a shortcut to success. We should reflect on what kind of a family and social atmosphere we have created when the majority of young people are eying such a profession, simply as a way to make easy money. Integrity and creativity will be left by the wayside on such a path to quick riches. If this momentum is unchecked, the industry, which does not yield added value for the country, will be a huge waste of capital and human resources. And it is high time the internet and cultural administrative departments took concrete actions to regulate indecent andculturally damaging online live broadcasts, so as encourage a healthy cultural environment online and prevent young people from being led astray in cyberspace.【第三篇:时间管理】As is known to us all, the most precious thing in the world is nothing but “today”. Therefore, it is necessary and significant for us to manage our time efficiently. There are some suggestions and methods to manage our time.First, the most important thing is to know and understand how we have spent and managed our time before. Only in this way can we know in which we have wasted our time. We can do this by sorting out all things we do every day and then select the necessary thing and the wasted time.Second, after the first step, what we should do is choosing the correct time. As the saying goes, “to choose time is to save time”. For one thing, we have to know and understand that which period we have more efficiency and have better quality in work or study so that we know how to make our schedule. For another, it is better to do the most important and urgent thing first in that we barely have enough time to finish all task within a day.Last but not the least, it is valuable to take full advantageof our leisure time tiny pieces of time. For example, we can do some reading when we are waiting for a bus, or we can practice our listening on our way to school. To sum up, time, like water in sponge, can be squeezed out if we like. Therefore, take full use of our time in that it is essential to lead a full and happy life.总之,时间就像海绵里的水,如果我们想是可以挤出来的。

考博英语范文(四)Human EducationThe other day, a professor from Peking University gave a lecture “Chinese Intellectuals and Written Cultural Text”. In his lecture, he held that Chinese intellectuals have lost the written cultural text since the May 4th movement. His opinion set us thinking that the loss of traditional humane education resulted in a crisis of cultural education. With the rapid development of economy, the living standard of the Chinese people has improved a lot in terms of material wealth. In a period when economics take priority, people pay more aned more attention to profit. At present, moneymaking and pleasure seeking are becoming a popular fashion. On the other hand, there appears a barren field of spirit in today’s society. It has become unexpectedly hard to rebuild the paradise of traditional culture.Ideological confusion, moral decline and a chaotic cultural market, all this shows that it is the high time to have something done in order to tackle the problem of cultural orientation. Our times call for an ideal humane education. It is unwise to discard traditional Chinese culture as a whole. Some of the elements of this culture can be made use of in the reconstruction of our spiritual civilizaiton directly or wit5h some adaptation. Our attitude towards tradition sh ould be “discarding the dross and selecting the essence”. The humane education of the past can serve as a supplement to our Marxist education. It should start from primary school. In this way, our children will get educatedso as to be possessed of a perfect personality. The national morale will be deeply rooted in people’s mind, and will help push forward the growth of economy. To sum up, we can find it badly necessary to build up an ideal humane education. We should find an efficient way to develop our humane education and dig out5 more resources form traditional Chinese culture.。

考博英语作文范文Title: The Importance of Pursuing a Doctoral Degree。

In today's competitive job market, pursuing a doctoral degree has become increasingly important. With the rapid advancement of technology and the increasing demand for highly skilled professionals, obtaining a doctoral degree can provide individuals with a competitive edge and open up a wide range of career opportunities. In this essay, I will discuss the importance of pursuing a doctoral degree and the benefits it can bring to individuals and society as a whole.First and foremost, obtaining a doctoral degree demonstrates a high level of expertise and dedication in a specific field of study. It requires years of rigorous academic training and research, as well as the ability to critically analyze and solve complex problems. This level of expertise is highly valued by employers and can lead to greater job security and higher earning potential. Inaddition, individuals with doctoral degrees are often sought after for leadership positions in their respective fields, allowing them to make significant contributions to their industries and society as a whole.Furthermore, pursuing a doctoral degree provides individuals with the opportunity to conduct original research and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their chosen field. This can lead to groundbreaking discoveries and innovations that have the potential to benefit society in profound ways. For example, a doctoral student in the field of medical research may develop a new treatment for a previously incurable disease, while a doctoral student in the field of environmental science may discover a solution to a pressing environmental issue. These contributions have the potential to improve the quality of life for people around the world and make a lasting impact on future generations. In addition to the professional and societal benefits, pursuing a doctoral degree can also be personally fulfilling. It allows individuals to delve deeply intotheir passions and interests, developing a deep understanding of their chosen field and making meaningful contributions to the body of knowledge. This can lead to a sense of personal accomplishment and fulfillment that is difficult to achieve through other means. However, it is important to acknowledge that pursuing a doctoral degree is not without its challenges. It requires a significant investment of time, energy, and resources, and can be a demanding and stressful process. Additionally, the job market for individuals with doctoral degrees can be competitive, and obtaining a tenure-track position in academia can be particularly challenging. Despite these challenges, the potential benefits of pursuing a doctoral degree far outweigh the costs, and the skills and knowledge gained through the process are invaluable. In conclusion, pursuing a doctoral degree is an important and worthwhile endeavor that can lead to a wide range of professional, societal, and personal benefits. It provides individuals with the opportunity to develop a high level of expertise in their chosen field, contribute to theadvancement of knowledge, and make a meaningful impact on society. While the process may be challenging, the potential rewards make it a valuable investment in one's future. As such, I believe that pursuing a doctoral degree is an important step for those who are passionate about their field of study and committed to making a positive impact on the world.。

2020考博英语作文热点话题预测及范文:节约

2020考博英语作文热点话题预测及范文:节约What is vividly revealed in the picture is that water is being reused in daily life at home. After washing rice, the water can be used to wash vegetables and then clean the mop and the toilet. What a harmonious scene it is!It is not difficult to find that what the picture intends to express is the importance of saving and protecting resources. On the one hand, as we all know, water resource is limited and water shortage is still a serious problem threatening the existence and survival of the whole human being. On the other hand, the phenomenon of wasting water can still be easily found anywhere in our daily life. For example, water taps are frequently left on by careless users. Someone even assumes that they have the right to waste water because they pay for it o that it has nothing to do with others. In fact, so precious water is that we cannot afford to waste it. Water resource is not only indispensable in our daily lifebut also in the industry and agriculture. It is hard to imagine what the world would be like when there I is no more water. It is fortunate that now the public is starting to pay attention. But, this is not adequate. As is shown in theabove picture, what we need is more actions to save andprotect resources! First of all, social environment is shaped by the general public, and the cultivation of conservation-minded society depends on the active involvement of every member of our society, be he old or young. Accordingly, an education campaign should be launched to call on people fromall walks of life to save and protect resources. In addition, saving and protecting resources is bound up with our daily life. We, college students, should spare no efforts to save valuable energy and natural resources such as power, water, coal, gas and so on. Only by the joint efforts of the whole society can we create a real conservation-minded society.。

2020考博英语作文热点话题预测及范文:成功

2020考博英语作文热点话题预测及范文:成功Success is always described by the old as something relevant to patience. In the picture, a man sits with a dozen of clocks around him. Beside him is the subtitle saying that "success means persisting five minutes more than others". We can infer from it that the man sets these many clocks just to remind himself that he should never give up.It is very true that success derives from persistence, for which there are several reasons. Firstly, no accomplishment can be achieved in a short time, and success asks for continuous industrious work and efforts. Secondly, when one is able to insist in stepping towards achievement, he must believe what he dedicates to. This belief is the source of persistence that paves the way to success. Thirdly, just as the saying goes, "Rome was not built in one day".To conclude, I would like to borrow another ancient saying that "he laughs best who laughs last". Laughing symbolizes the confidence for success, and confidence always yields patience and insistence. Hence, I firmly believe that if everybody applies what the picture conveys into actual practice, they will surely reap a lot.。

考博英语作文参考范文【五篇】

考博英语作文参考范文【五篇】01 Schooling and EducationIt is commonly believed in United States that school is where people go to get an education.Nevertheless, it has been said that today children interrupt their education to go to school. The distinction between schooling and education implied by this remark is important. Education is much more open-ended and all-inclusive than schooling. Education knows no bounds. It can take place anywhere, whether in the shower or in the job, whether in a kitchen or on a tractor. It includes both the formal learning that takes place in schools and the whole universe of informal learning. The agents of education can range from a revered grandparent to the people debating politics on the radio, from a child to a distinguished scientist. Whereas schooling has a certain predictability, education quite often produces surprises. A chance conversation with a stranger may lead a person to discover how little is known of other religions. People are engaged in education from infancy on. Education, then,is a very broad, inclusive term. It is a lifelong process, a process that starts long before the start of school, and one that should be an integral part of one’s entire life. Schooling, on the other hand, is a specific, formalized process, whose general pattern varies little from one setting to the next. Throughout a country, children arrive at school at approximately the same time, take assigned seats, are taught by an adult, use similar textbooks, do homework, take exams, and so on. The slices of reality that are to be learned, whether they are the alphabet or a understanding of the working of government, have usually been limited by the boundaries of the subject being taught. For example, high school students know that there not likely to find out in their classes the truth about political problems in their communities or what the newest filmmakers are experimenting with. There are definite conditions surrounding the formalized process of schooling.02 The Language of MusicA painter hangs his or her finished pictures on a wall, and everyone can see it. A composer writes a work, but no one can hearit until it is performed. Professional singers and players have great responsibilities, for the composer is utterly dependent on them. A student of music needs as long and as arduous a training to become a performer as a medical student needs to become a doctor. Mosttraining is concerned with technique, for musicians have to have the muscular proficiency of an athlete or a ballet dancer. Singers practice breathing every day, as their vocal chords would be inadequate without controlled muscular support. String players practice moving the fingers of the left hand up and down, while drawing the bow to and fro with the right arm—two entirely different movements. Singers and instruments have to be able to get every note perfectly in tune. Pianists are spared this particular anxiety, for the notes are already there, waiting for them, and it is the piano tuner’s responsibility to tune the instrument for them. But they have their own difficulties; the hammers that hit the string have to be coaxed not to sound like percussion, and each overlapping tone has to sound clear. This problem of getting clear texture is one that confronts student conductors: they have to learn to know every note of the music and how it should sound, and they have to aim at controlling these sound with fanatical but selflessauthority.Technique is of no use unless it is combined with musical knowledge and understanding. Great artists are those who are so thoroughly at home in the language of music that they can enjoy performing works written in any century.03 The Definition of “Price”Prices determine how resources are to be used. They are also the means by which products and services that are in limited supply are rationed among buyers. The price system of the United States is a complex network composed of the prices of all the products bought and sold in the economy as well as those of a myriad of services, including labor, professional, transportation, and public-utility services. The interrelationships of all these prices make up the “system” of prices. The price of any particular product or service is linked to a broad, complicated system of prices in which everything seems to depend more or less upon everything else. If one were to ask a group of randomly selected individuals to define “price”, many would reply that price is an amount of money paid by the buyer to the seller of a product or service or, in other words that price is the money values of a product or service as agreed upon in a market transaction. This definition is, of course, valid asfar as it goes. For a complete understanding of a price in anyparticular transaction, much more than the amount of money involved must be known. Both the buyer and the seller should be familiar with not only the money amount, but with the amount and quality of the product or service to be exchanged, the time and place at which the exchange will take place and payment will be made, the form of money to be used, the credit terms and discounts that apply to the transaction, guarantees on the product or service, delivery terms, return privileges, and other factors. In other words, bothbuyer and seller should be fully aware of all the factors that comprise the total“package” being exchanged for the asked-for amount of money in order that they may evaluate a given price.04 ElectricityThe modern age is an age of electricity. People are so used to electric lights, radio, televisions, and telephones that it ishard to imagine what life would be like without them. When there is a power failure, people grope about in flickering candlelight, cars hesitate in the streets because there are no traffic lights to guide them, and food spoils in silent refrigerators. Yet, people began to understand how electricity works only a little more than two centuries ago.Nature has apparently been experimenting in this field for million of years. Scientists are discovering more and more that the living world may hold many interesting secrets of electricitythat could benefit humanity. All living cell send out tiny pulses of electricity. As the heart beats, it sends out pulses of record; they form an electrocardiogram, which a doctor can study todetermine how well the heart is working. The brain, too, sends out brain waves of electricity, which can be recorded in an electroencephalogram. The electric currents generated by most living cells are extremely small – often so small that sensitive instruments are needed to record them. But in some animals, certain muscle cells have become so specialized as electrical generators that they do not work as muscle cells at all. When large numbers of these cell are linked together, the effects can be astonishing. The electric eel is an amazing storage battery. It can seed a jolt of as much as eight hundred volts of electricity through the water in which it live. ( An electric house current is only one hundred twenty volts.) As many as four-fifths of all the cells in the electric eel’s body are specialized for generating electricity, and the strengthof the shock it can deliver corresponds roughly to length of its body.05 The Beginning of DramaThere are many theories about the beginning of drama in ancient Greece. The on most widely accepted today is based on the assumption that drama evolved from ritual. The argument for this view goes as follows. In the beginning, human beings viewed the natural forces of the world-even the seasonal changes-as unpredictable, and they sought through various means to control these unknown and feared powers. Those measures which appeared to bring the desired results were then retained and repeated until they hardened into fixed rituals. Eventually stories arose which explained or veiled the mysteries of the rites. As time passed some rituals were abandoned, but the stories, later called myths, persisted and provided material for art and drama. Those who believe that drama evolved out of ritual also argue that those rites contained the seed of theater because music, dance, masks, and costumes were almost always used, Furthermore, a suitable site had to be provided for performances and when the entire community did not participate,a clear division was usually made between the "acting area" and the "auditorium." In addition, there were performers, and, since considerable importance was attached to avoiding mistakes in the enactment of rites, religious leaders usually assumed that task. Wearing masks and costumes, they often impersonated other people, animals, or supernatural beings, and mimed the desired effect-success in hunt or battle, the coming rain, the revival of the Sun-as an actor might. Eventually such dramatic representations were separated from religious activities. Another theory traces the theater‘s origin from the human interest in storytelling. According to this vies tales (about the hunt, war, or other feats) are gradually elaborated, at first through the use of impersonation, action, and dialogue by a narrator and then through the assumption of each of the roles by a different person. A closely related theory traces theater to those dances that are primarily rhythmical and gymnastic or that are imitations of animal movements and sounds.。

2020考博英语作文范文:社会价值

2020考博英语作文范文:社会价值

2020考博英语作文范文:社会价值It is generally agreed that society benefits from thework of its members. Compare the contributions of artists to society with the contributions of scientists to society.Which type of contribution do you think is valued more byyour society? Give specific reasons to support your answer.Art and science are essentially a strange coupling. More often than not, they are considered as divergent rather than consistent with each other. The Artist employs image and metaphor; the scientist uses number and equation. By casual juxtaposition, these two fields seem to have little in common:There are few if any references to art in any standardtextbook of science; art historians rarely interpret anartist's work in light of the conceptual framework of science. Despite what appear to be irreconcilable differences, however, they do have at least one thing in common --- both of them have significant contribution to the society, either through probably distinctive way.The development of science and technology has always accompanied the progress of the society. The invention of the steam engine brought a new era of thrift of world economy;the employment electricity has multiplied the productivityand virtually reproduced limited resources on the Earth; the innovation of computer technologies has made the Earth alittle village and connected distant countries as a single market. While sometimes the progress of science and technology, for example, technology of human cloning, cause troubles or originate dilemmas, it seems always undeniablethat in a broad sense, the development of science hasprovided people a much higher standard of living than that of their counterparts in any phrase of the history.Science has been developed by continuous modification, and at the same time always reflects the progress of the society. Visualization and fascination have been the major power of any form of art. For example, any religion in this world cannot exist without music, which helps realize the faith of the church to an astonishing extent. Each and every revolution on this earth was accompanied by numerous corresponding art productions, because the artists sense the circumstances, and then reflect their sensations with sophisticated techniques in their production, which can be easily perceived by the public through powerful empathy. Nobody could evaluate art with correct or not standard, needless to say the public, they simply feel it is good or not, therefore art has always had magic influence on the public, and society in general. However, it’s been said that there is no science without fancy and no art without facts. Science fictions have long been the functioning as a major vehicle for the public dissemination of science; scientists share parallel view of space, time and light etc. with artists. Not only are art and science interrelated with each other but they also contribute to each other in various way. Therefore, it is hard to compare the contributions of art and science, it is simply partial to say that either one contributes more to the society than another does.。

2020考博英语作文实用范文三篇【篇一】2020考博英语作文实用范文Protecting the Intangible Cultural HeritagesLike tangible cultural heritages such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, intangible cultural heritages like Peking Opera and Confucius- commemorating rituals are equally crucial. We should make our utmost efforts to preserve intangible heritages because, without heir physical form of existence, they are in greater risk of extinction.

According to UNESCO's Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003), all forms of social customs and habits, folklore, performing arts, rituals, oral traditions, festivals, traditional crafts and various knowledge and practices about nature and universe can be classified as intangible cultural heritages. As a country consisting of a great diversity of ethnic groups and with time-honored history and civilization, China abounds in intangible cultural heritages. Cultural heritages connect modern people with the historical past, allowing them to acquire a cultural and historical identity. Without cultural heritages, we would be rendered absolutely rootless and we would find it hard to cope with challenges at present and in the future.

However, the modernization process poses mounting threats to intangible heritages. Many people have a blind faith inthe latest electronic devices. It is also pathetic to see elderly people in possession of such legacies pass awaywithout transmitting them to the younger generation. Facedwith those challenges, we should both preserve and renovateour ancestral heritages so that we can help contribute to the cultural diversity of the world and return to our spiritual homeland in this age of impersonal science and technology然则,现代化进程正在对非物质文化遗产构成日甚一日的威胁。

In the modern world, there is no doubt that Internet is playing an increasingly important role in our daily lives. Not only does it bring usinformation, but it also makes our lives convenient. However, the security of the Internet is always a hot potato that we have been facing with for years. Many netizensrealize the fact that their privacy is suffering from violation and threat. In their daily life, they are disturbed by the property losses because of the leak of the bank account. Why does the security of the Internet suffer from violation and threat? For one thing, some network operators" ignorance of users" interest is the first factor to blame, for they sell the private information of the users to pursue their own profits frequently. For another, our country lacks relevant laws enacted by the government, which means that the internet users" right has not been officially protected. What"s more, people do not Install firewall and update their antivirus soft-wares in time. From my perspective, there is no denying that we should pay attention to Internet safety. Firstly, the government should step up supervision. Secondly, the netizens should improve the awareness of self-protection to avoid such violation and threat. The last but not least, moral education should be put emphasis on. Only when we raise public moral awareness can these problems be avoided completely.【篇三】2020考博英语作文实用范文The cartoon aims at informing us of the significance of an optimistic mindset. Definitely, no once can deny the importance of it. An optimistic mindset can help us achieve our objectives more smoothly and realize our dreams more rapidly. By being optimistic. we can face challenges andsurmount hardships with confidence, keep sober and figure out effective measures even in desperate situations. To further illustrate the importance of being optimistic, I would like to take Beethoven as a case in point: how could he, a great German music composer who became deaf at his forties, compose so many enduring and classic symphonies without optimism?Accordingly, at no time should we overlook the power of optimism. once coming across frustrations and intending to give up, we should remind ourselves that it is optimism that will finally lead us to turn the corner. “the optimistic sees the rose, and the pessimistic sees the thorn.” A philosopher once said.。
