一.教材分析：
我们所使用的湘少版四年级上册的教材是根据《英语课程标准》要求进行 编写，以“话题---功能---结构---任务”相结合的原则，力求使话题、功能、结构和任务四个方面在比较真实的情景中紧密联系，融为一体;本教材提倡“任务型”的教学模式，让学生在教师的指导下，通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式，实现任务的目标，感受成功。在学习过程中进行情感和策略调整，以形成积极的学习态度，推动语言实际利用能力的提升。
本教材共由12个单元和两个评价单元组成，其中第一~第十二单元为新授单元。新授单元主要由A、B、C、D、E、F，G七个板块构成。新版教材相较于老版多了一个新的板块，Let’s read and write,旨在使学生通过该部分故事的学习能将所学单词和句型利用于片段中从而达到真正理解语言并使用的目的。
二.学生分析：
四年级的学生对英语学习兴趣整体相比于三年级有所下降，英语基础较弱但比较平均，因此本学期主要任务是提升整体水平，并适当培养2-5个尖子生。教师应该面向全体学生，以学生的发展为宗旨，始终把激发学生的学习兴趣放到首位，注意分层教学，引导学生端正学习态度，掌握不错的学习方法，培养学生不错的学习习惯。
三.教学内容及相应的教学措施：
1.情景对话或配图短文阅读教学。
通过该板块的教学，着重训练学生的阅读能力、朗读能力和会话能力。在教学中，我将采用“先听说、后读写，先整体、后局部”的方法，尽量创设信息沟，借助图片、关键词等，让学生进行看图说话、故事接龙、简述故事等，或编成小短剧，引导和鼓励学生积极、主动地参加语言实践活动。
阅读教学，对于小学生来讲有一定的难度，我们可以从以下几个方面进行训练：教会学生使用英汉词典;激发阅读的兴趣;培养快速阅读能力;学会浏览;扩大阅读视野，学会跳跃式阅读;培养朗读的能力;在快速阅读的基础上培养学生的精读的能力;自由表达，仿照课文用英文编个故事或对话或用自身的话复述课文。
