托福TPO6综合写作阅读原文文本:Communal online encyclopedias represent one of the latest resources to be found on the Internet. They are in many respects like traditional printed encyclopedias collections of articles on various subjects. What is specific to these online encyclopedias, however, is that any Internet user can contribute a new article or make an editorial change in an existing one. As a result, the encyclopedia is authored by the whole community of Internet users. The idea might sound attractive, but the communal online encyclopedias have several important problems that make them much less valuable than traditional, printed encyclopedias.First, contributors to a communal online encyclopedia often lack academic credentials, thereby making their contributions partially informed at best and downright inaccurate in many cases. Traditional encyclopedias are written by trained experts who adhere to standards of academic rigor that nonspecialists cannot really achieve.Second, even if the original entry in the online encyclopedia is correct, the communal nature of these online encyclopedias gives unscrupulous users and vandals or hackers the opportunity to fabricate, delete, and corrupt information in the encyclopedia. Once changes have been made to the original text, an unsuspecting user cannot tell the entry has been tampered with. None of this is possible with a traditional encyclopedia.Third, the communal encyclopedias focus too frequently, and in too great a depth, on trivial and popular topics, which createsa false impression of what is important and what is not. A child doing research for a school project may discover that a major historical event receives as much attention in an online encyclopedia as, say, a single long-running television program. The traditional encyclopedia provides a considered view of what topics to include or exclude and contains a sense of proportion that online "democratic" communal encyclopedias do not.托福TPO6综合写作听力原文文本:The communal online encyclopedia will probably never be perfect, but that's a small price to pay for what it does offer. The criticisms in the reading are largely the result of prejudice against and ignorance about how far online encyclopedias have come.First, errors. It's hardly a fair criticism that encyclopedias online have errors. Traditional encyclopedias have never been close to perfectly accurate, ifyou are looking for a realty comprehensive reference work without any mistakes, you are not going to find it, on or off line. The real point is that it's easy for errors in factual material to be corrected in an online encyclopedia. But with the printed and bound encyclopedia, the errors remain for decades.Second, hacking. Online encyclopedias have recognized the importance of protecting their articles from malicious hackers. One strategy they started using is to put the crucial facts in the articles that nobody disputes in a read-only format, which is a format that no one can make changes to. That way you are making sure that the crucial facts in the articles are reliable. Another strategy that's being used is to have special editors whose job is to monitor all changes made to the articles and eliminate those changes that are clearly malicious.Third, what's worth knowing about? The problem fortraditional encyclopedias is that they have limited space, so they have to decide what's important and what's not. And in practice, the judgments of the group of academics that make these decisions don't reflect the great range of interests that people really have. But space is definitely not an issue for online encyclopedias. The academic articles are still represented in online encyclopedias, but there can be a great variety of articles and topics that accurately reflect the great diversity of users' interests. The diversity of use in topics that online encyclopedias offer is one of their strongest advantages托福TPO6综合写作满分范文:In the reading passage, the author holds the idea that communal online encyclopedias are less valuable than traditional, printed one. However, the lecturer strongly refutes this idea. The reading passage, the author states that a communal online encyclopedia is often with errors and inaccuracies, which is attributed to unprofessional contributors. However, the lecture contends that there are also some inaccuracies in traditional encyclopedias. And the errors and inaccuracies can be corrected easily in an online encyclopedia, while with traditional encyclopedia, errors might remain for decades. As to the belief in the reading passage that the online encyclopedia gives many chances of fabricating, deleting and corrupting information to unscrupulous users and vandals or hackers, lecturer gives two strategies that have been proven very effective in protecting online encyclopedias from malicious alteration. She explains that contents that consist of indisputable facts are stored and presented in a read-only format so that nobody can make changes to them. In addition, she says, there are specialists who constantly monitor contents online so thatthey can quickly remove a suspicious change once it is detected.。

Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjimin Franklin may best be regareded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative.Experience and knowledge borrowed or learned from others’ advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and effeciency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shinin g compared with group’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giants; that explains why a great leader is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in corperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstorm and exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individula involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village.Asking o thers’ advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, praticalities and personalities of each other.Admittely turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrased from John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannot do while divided, there is little we can do.托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(2)Case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Others live in different towns and cities. Which do you think is beterr? Give reasons for your answer. After they complete their univerrsity studies, some students preferr to live in their hometowns while others choose to live in different towns or cities. Everybody has his own reasons for his preference. After my graduation, I will go back and live in my home city. I have made this decision because of the following reasons.Firstly, my home city is a big city that can offer a lot. There are plenty of opportunities for work, many big libraries for studies, several differrent musiums for visit, and numerous cinemas, theaters and centers for entertainment. When I go back there, I will have no difficulty in finding a job suitable for me and I can make use of all the facilities available there.Secondly, if I go back to my home city, I can look after my parents. I take this into consideration because I am their only child and they are now weak and getting on in age. If I live in the same city with them, I can visit them very often and help them whenever it is necessary.Thirdly, if I live in my home city, I will have a lot of friends, schoolmates and relatives to visit and to turn to for help when I need. Of course, I could get acquainted with many people and make many friends if I were to go to live in a strange place, but that takes time. If I go back to my home city, everybody will be waiting for me and I will be able to settle down comfortably without any trouble and waste of time.In short, my choise is based on a careful consideration of my home city and my family. I think it is a better or sensible choice; in a certain sense, it is a must.Neighbors are the people who live near us. In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor? Use specific details and examples in your answer.托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(4)If you have a good neighbor, you are a lucky person. You have someone who cares about your needs and your property, who is helpful in the little day-to-day situations that come up, and who is supportive in times of crisis.A good neighbor is someone who, for instance, understands that your children may occasionally run across his lawn,- even though you tell them not to. He'll realize that children can be careless about things like that, and he won't make a big fuss about it unless it becomes a regular thing. In the same vein, he knows that you'll understand if some of the trash from his trash cans blows across into your yard. In other words, he is sensitive to the unintentional things that can happen. He doesn't make a big deal about them.A good neighbor is also respectful of your property. For example, she asks your permission before doing anything that interferes with what's yours. This means she wouldn't plant a huge tree in between your houses without asking how you felt about it. If she wanted to put up a fence, she would let you know first. She might work with you to decide where it should be placed. Maybe the two of you would even split the cost.A good neighbor would lend you some milk if you ran out. She'd give you a ride to work if your car was broken, and let your children stay at her house in the evening if you got stuck working overtime. You would do the same for her. Both of you would help make the other's life easier. When something really awful happens to you, like a death in the family, a good neighbor will volunteer to help in any way he can. This could mean something small, like making some casseroles to put in your freezer to feed visiting relatives. Or it could mean something big, like helping you get through the sadness of the funeral.I think only someone who has experienced a bad neighbor can really appreciate a good one!A good neighbor can be a good friend. He or she can make all the difference in the world to your life.托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(5)Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and esamples to support your answer. Some people like to eat out at food stands and restaurants, while others like to prepare food at home. Often it depends on the kind of lifestyle people have. Those with very busy jobs outside the house don’t always have time to cook. They like the convenience of eating out. Overall, though, it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home. While eating in restaurants is fast, the money you spend can add up. When I have dinner at a restaurant with a friend, the bill is usually over twenty dollars. I can buy a lot of groceries with that much money. Even lunch at a fast-food stand usually costs five or six dollars for one person. That’s enough to feed the whole family at home.Eating at home is better for you, too. Meals at restaurants are often high in fat and calories, and they serve big plates of food-much more food-than you need to eat at one meal. If you cook food at home, you have more control over the ingredients. You can use margarine instead of butter on your potatoes, or not put so much cheese on top of your pizza. At home, you can control yourportion size. You can serve yourself as little as you want. In a restaurant, you may eat a full plate of food "because you paid for it."I t’s true that eating out is convenient. You don’t have to shop, or cook, or clean up. But real home cooking doesn’t have to take up a lot of time. There are lots of simple meals that don’t take long to make. In fact, they’re faster than eating out, especia lly if you think of the time you spend driving to a restaurant, parking, waiting for a table,, waiting for service, and driving home. Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satisfying. Both can taste good and be enjoyed with family and friends. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health issues, but people will make the choice that fits their lifestyle best.托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(6)题目:It has recently been announced that a new movie theater may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.A New Movie TheaterEntertainment is an important part of everyone’s life. We all need to take time to relax insgroupsto live healthy lives and do our work efficiently. It is easier to relax when an appropriate form of entertainment is convenient and close by. Therefore, I would support a proposal to build a new movie theater in my neighborhood.Entertainment places can bring some disadvantages to a community such as increased traffic and noise, but I believe the advantages of a new movie theater would outweigh these concerns. For one thing, the people in my neighborhood would save time. When they wanted to see a movie they could simply walk to the new theater rather than spend time traveling by bus or car. In addition, it would be safer for children to visit a nearby movie theater rather than one in some other part of the city. And finally, a new theater might attract other businesses, such as restaurants and coffee shops, where the people of my neighborhood could go to relax. In short, a new movie theater in the neighborhood would increase the number of entertainment options for the residents. They could enjoy themselves more easily without spending a lot of time traveling to another part of the city. For these reasons I would support the building of a movie theater in my neighborhood.译文:一家新电影院娱乐是每个人生活中一个重要的组成部分。

新托福考试TPO6综合写作高分范文:The lecturer addresses each of the three criticisms of communal online encyclopedias mentioned in the Reading passage. The lecturer admits that communal online encyclopedias, like any reference book, may contain errors, but she claims that these errors can be corrected much more easily and quickly than those printed in a paper encyclopedia. The Reading passage, in contrast, points to the inaccuracy of information in online encyclopedias, presenting the argument that errors in these resources are due to lack of professional knowledge among contributors. The lecturer then gives two strategies that have been proven very effective in protecting online encyclopedias from malicious alteration. She explains that contents that consist of indisputable facts are stored and presented in a read-only format so that nobody can make changes to them. In addition, she says, there are specialists who constantly monitor contents online so that they can quickly remove a suspicious change once it is detected. The lecturer also challenges the final point in the reading regarding the nature of topics covered in online encyclopedias. She says that because of virtually unlimited space on the Internet. there is no need to worry about what is important enough for inclusion in an online encyclopedia. Moreover, the greater variety of topics in online encyclopedias more truly reflects the genuine interests of thegeneral public, even if some of these topics are less serious or academic than those in traditional encyclopedias.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are never 〔sat〕isfied with what they have; they always want something more or something different. Use specific reasons to support your answer.托福写作满分作文范文:Many of the worlds religions share a belief that when a person is able to look at and confess his or her problems that person can begin to travel the road to emotional recovery. A problem cannot besolved until it is clearly recognized. I agree with the above statement because I believe thatdissatisfaction and suffering forces people to change.History presents many examples of dissatisfaction and change. The history of China in this century might be seenas one of dissatisfaction and progress. Sun Yet San was discontented with the decaying imperial order, and so he created "revolution'; Mao was dissatisfied with the course of events and so he intensified the revolution; finally, Deng pushed the Chinese economy towardsfree-market economics. Hence, China progressed towards its new-found "superpower' status. In a not dissimilar way, during the eighteenth century many Americans became annoyed with direct British rule, and so the United States fought for and gained political independence. On a personal level, dissatisfaction can lead to change within friendship and marriage. Perhaps it might even be said that true love cannot remain static. Matrimony and friendship are explorations of the higher emotions: they are pilgrimages towards the city of true values. If husband and wife are prepared to confront and discuss their problems, a blue period can give way to many years of happiness. Sometimes, for instance, a spouse may not recognize that the source of marital unhappiness is that the other partner has developed a need to have children. Whatever else may be said, most people would agree thatchildren change the lives of their parents. The best method of utilizing dissatisfaction is to change things before they get out of hand. An intelligent man will constantly monitor his emotions; an intelligent politician will understand the mood of his people. Some people might suggest that the transition to independence for Canada and Australia was much smoother than that of the United States because Britain allowed those two dominions to evolve with time. To take the idea further, a good parent or an astute politician will even anticipate potential dissatisfactions and therefore take precautions.I agree with the above statement because, I believe that we mature through dissatisfaction. Without the ability to recognize our discontent, we could collapse into illness. Suffering sharpens our senses.ets托福满分范文篇二:书籍的选择Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should read only those books that are about real events, real people, and established facts. Use specific reasons and details to support your opinion.托福写作满分作文范文:How could anyone suggest that people should only read about real events, real people, and established facts? For one thing, that means people wouldnt be reading half of all the great books that have ever been written, not to mention the plays, short stones and poetry. For another, it would mean that peoples imaginations would not develop as children and would remain dulled throughout their lives.Reading stories as a child helps develop our creativity by teaching us a lot about how to use words to create mental images. It opens our world up, exposing us to other times and different ways of living. Reading histories of those times would serve kind of the same purpose, but it probably wouldnt stick in our minds as sharply. Reading an essay about poverty in Victorian England is not the same thing as reading Charles Dickens Oliver Twist. The images of a small boy being sold are more horrifying than simply reading the statement, Children were sold into labor because a novel makes that small boy seem real to us. Reading fiction makes a more lasting impression on our minds and emotions.Besides, storytelling is an emotional need for humanbeings. From earliest times, humans have taught their children about life, not by telling them facts and figures, but by telling them stories. Some of these stones show what people are like (human nature), and help us experience a wide range of feelings. Some make us think about how we should act. Telling a child that its wrong to lie will make little impression, but telling him the story of a little boy whose nose grows longer every time he tells a lie will make a big impression.Fiction is too important to our culture, our minds, and our emotions. How could we ever give it up?ets托福满分范文篇三:学习文史的重要性Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important for students to study history and literature than it is for them to study science and mathematics. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.托福写作满分作文范文:I have always considered that general knowledge is the best choice for me and universal learning the perfect means to support the phrase knowledge for the sake of knowledgeitself. But if I have to choose between the above-mentioned subjects I would definately concentrate on art and literature which I consider fit better my personality. Art and literature have a lot in common in that they require a different, quite often universal approach to the world around us.They concenterate not so much on the black and white aspects of living but on the colourful side of life; on tints rather than brightness.Maths and science study the form, the physical shape and its laws, but it is art and literature that fulfill this form with that ultimate meaning that only the human soul can sense. And it is the human soul that has so many faces, so many aspects and interpretations to all things. That is why I appreciate the subjectivity of art and literature-the numerous realities they impose are closer to our inner world than the strict powers that rule that of science. One is free to tolerate, to critisize, to accept the form of art but not obey them.It is believed that Order came from Chaos. And if we can associate science and maths with Order it sounds logical to claim that Chaos has a lot to do with art andliterature. The well of our unconscious brings forward the strangest powers and they show more of the universe than maths and science do.For Chaos is the beginning of life. Having in mind the above, I definately support art and literature as a better means for achieving universal knowledge. What is more, while maths and science closely deal with laws, they cannot in any way teach us about that thin red line separating bad and evil, while art and literature I strongly believe can.ets托福满分范文篇四:中同学学艺术和音乐Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? All students should be required to study art and music in secondary school. Use specific reasons to support your answer.托福写作满分作文范文:I agree that all students should be required to study art and music in high school. Ive read that young children who study art and music in grade school do better in their other studies. That argument aside, we should study art and music for its sake alone. We should study art and musicto learn more about ourselves, our culture, and our world. Both art and music feed students imaginations and help them express themselves. Theres a reason our ancestors in caves drew on the walls and made music with drums. Wanting to express ourselves is natural. It gives us an avenue for our emotions and fears. It may not always be music other people want to hear or art others will appreciate, but the activity itself is enjoyable. It shouldnt matter if the end result isnt perfect. In the process, we learn what we like and dislike. Studying art and music means more than drawing or playing an instrument. Students usually go to art galleries and concerts, too. By studying the pictures on the museums walls or by reading the program notes at a recital, students will learn what society has decided is worthy of praise. They learn what is important in their own culture.Students may also learn about other cultures by looking at art and listening to music from other countries. When they do that, theyll see similarities and differences with their own. Theyll learn about what is important in other societies. Students will also learn how the art and music of other cultures affect our own.By studying art and music in high school, students begin to understand themselves as well as their own culture and other cultures. What could have more value than that?。

小编大家整理了托福独立写作满分范文参考供大家赏鉴!托福独立写作满分范文参考1task:"When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success." Do you agree or disagree with the quotation above? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.托福备考之独立写作满分范文:The Role of Luck in SuccessIt has been said that when people succeed, it is because of hard work and that luck has nothing to do with success. Although I believe that hard work is very important and is the surest way to success for most people, I must disagree with this statement. It cannot be denied that luck often plays an important role in success. For example, many important discoveries have been made by accident. There have been many cases of researchers and inventors making major breakthroughs while they were actually trying to solve another problem or create a different device.Furthermore, there is something to be said for simply being in the right place at the right time-perhaps meeting someone by chance who can offer a good job or rare opportunity. And of course, there are the rare examples of gamblers and lottery winners who beat the odds and achieve sudden and unexpected success. While the influence of luck cannot be ignored, this is not tosay that one should depend on it and ignore the value of hard work. If one is willing to work hard, I believe that success will eventually be achieved, with or without the added benefit of luck. Moreover, hard work is often an essential ingredient of luck because it enables one to take advantage of a lucky encounter. If the scientist has not worked hard to develop his knowledge and skills, he may not recognize that lucky breakthrough when it comes along. Therefore, my suggestion is not to count on luck to bring you success. Instead, work hard and keep your eyes open for that lucky opportunity.托福独立写作满分范文参考2task:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Universities should give the same amount of money to their students’ sports activities as they give to their libraries. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.托福备考之独立写作满分范文:Money for Sports ActivitiesA student’s education does not only consist of learning academic subjects. It is also important for students to develop other skills, such as teamwork, and healthy habits that will last them a lifetime. One way to do this is to encourage more participation in sports activities. Although it is important to provide adequate funding for academic services such as the school library, I believe it is important to fund sports activities equally.A student’s primary education goal is to pursue knowledge. Therefore, the school library is very important. However, the resources that a library buys are long-lasting. In addition, students now have resources other than the school library to support their studies. For example, many have their owncomputers and access to the Internet. Sports activities, on the other hand, require some investment every year. Equipment wears out and needs to be replaced more often than library resources. Furthermore, a school that provides good athletic equipment for its students will find that they are more willing to participate in physical activities. Since these activities are also an important part of their education, the importance of good equipment cannot be ignored.Ideally, a school should provide its students with a well- balanced education that helps them develop all of their skills. For this reason, it is important that schools do not ignore sports activities. Setting aside more money for these activities will help schools to develop better physical education programs and encourage more students to participate in them.托福独立写作满分范文参考3task:Some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes. Others believe that going to classes should be optional for students. Which point of view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to explain your answer.托福备考之独立写作满分范文:Class Attendance Should Not Be CompulsoryIt is undoubtedly true that students should take their studies seriously. This means not only doing the required work, but also actively pursuing every opportunity to learn. So of course they should attend their classes to receive the maximum benefit. However, I do not believe that there is a need to make class attendance mandatory at the university level.By the time they reach university, students are no longer children. They are young adults and should be able to takeresponsibility for their actions. Attending their classes is of benefit to them, and while it may be tempting to skip them once in a while, it is not the responsible choice. Adults must be able to manage their time on their own and to make their own decisions. If a student misses too many classes and so does poorly in a course, he will have to accept the consequences and learn from his mistake. Finally, non-compulsory class attendance may not only lead to improvements in the students, but also in the teaching. Of course, every professor likes to see full attendance at his classes. If students are not coming to class, the professor should ask himself why. Perhaps the students do not understand the relevance of the material to their studies. In conclusion, I believe that class attendance should not be required for university students. They should learn to make the right decisions for themselves, and this is one way to encourage the development of independence and responsibility.托福独立写作满分范文参考4task:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Television has destroyed communication among friends and family. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.托福备考之独立写作满分范文:The Effects of Television on CommunicationThere is no doubt that television has greatly changed people’s lives. After its invention, it became an almost indispensable part of most households within the space of just a few years. Nowadays, many families have two or even three television sets so that every member of the family can watch what he wants whenever he wants. In my opinion, this has significantly reduced the amount of time that family and friends spendcommunicating with each other. Before the invention of television, people spent their leisure time in more active and social pursuits. They often played cards or other games, listened to the radio together or went out to see friends. But now television is widely available and it offers a variety of program choices that appeal to almost every interest. People no longer have to look to others for entertainment. Also, television can be like a sedative. Studies have shown that watching a great deal of television makes people more passive. Finally, people are simply watching increasing amounts of television. And with two or three TV sets in the house, there is no need for them to even watch it together.Although television has reduced the amount of time that family and friends spen d together, it doesn’t have to be this way. People can make the choice to turn off the TV and do something more active. Or, if they really want to watch TV, they can find a thought-provoking program that they would all like to watch and discuss afterwards.。

1Task:It has been said, “Not everything that is learned is contained in books.” Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?.托福写作模板范文参考:We all crave knowledge, especially in this Age of Information, but what is the best source of knowledge? Are we to believe Albert Camus, who stated” The place we are to get knowledge is in books”? Or are we better served by following Albert Einstein's counsel that “The only source of knowledge is experience”? Although books have their place in one's learning, there is no substitute for experience; indeed, it is experience that is ultimately the most important source of knowledge.First, let us consider the knowledge needed to undertake a profession-for example, that of a physician. Knowledge gained from books provides the foundation of a doctor's training: study in a medical school begins with a near-overload of reading on anatomy, physiology and maladies both rare and common. However, during this time the medical student is also learning through experience, beginning with dissecting cadavers from almost the first day of medical school. Then, the aspiring physician must complete four years of residency, consisting of actual supervised experience at a hospital in which he or she now must put into practice all of the knowledge he or she has edge of dealing with patients, prescribing medication, and the joy andsadness of saving and losing patients; in other words, it is through experience that these residents finally learn what it means to be a doctor. What about knowledge other than professional expertise-for example, knowledge about another culture? In this realm as well, both books and real-life experience enrich and edify us. For example, Paris is perhaps the most talked-about and written-about city in the world. We could read Hemingway's A Moveable Feast, in which he describes the excitement and intellectual spirit-as well as the restaurants and plentiful red wine-of Paris in the 1920's. Or, we could travel to Paris and eat at bistros, walk across the Pont Neuf and look at the river Seine, visit the Louvre museum, and have adventures of our own. Clearly, most people would have attained more lasting and vivid knowledge by visiting Paris on their own rather than reading about it secondhand. In summary, experience, rather than books, is more central to our quest for learning, especially with regard to professional expertise. With regard to learning about another culture, experience is also irreplaceable. Yet not everyone in the world will have the health or financial resources to carry out a trip to Paris. But many people have access to a local library where they can borrow A Moveable Feast and, at no cost, read Hemingway's vibrant descriptions of Paris. We cannot forget the complementary and unique knowledge afforded by books, but experience is the most precious source of knowledge.托福写作高分范文大全2Task:“When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success.” Do you agree or disagree with the quotation above? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.托福写作模板范文参考:It is universally acknowledged that hard work is indispensable to success. Scientists toil for years before they make a major discovery. Students study for years before they are accepted by a top university. Self-make people work for a long time, even all their life before they make a fortune. However, less well-known is the essential role that luck plays in achieving one's goals. It is often luck that turns years of hard work into success: people discover and invent things with the help of luck, and so do they become famous and find jobs.First, luck has helped a great number of people invent and discover things. Sir Alexander Fleming experimented with antibacterial substances for nine years before he discovered penicillin. He went through laborious trial and error, but it was on account of luck that he looked at the mold on a piece of cheese and got the idea for penicillin there and then. Benjamin Franklin had been trying to prove his idea that lightning and electricity is the same thing, but it was only in flying a kite that he proved it and the concept of a lightning rod happened to strike him. Also, luck helps people become famous. Let us consider young authors. Many work hard to learn to write. For example, they take writing classes. Besides, they work at menial jobs so as to survive and gain experience. Then one day a lucky writer may have piece of writing published and attract public attention. Or the writer meets an editor at the right time and place. Years of continuous writing brings the writer to the door of success, but one lucky chance, like the shot in soccer, eventually helps him or her reap success. Finally, luck has helped many people secure jobs. One may spend much time writing and sending resumes, readingrecruiting ads, and going to job interviews. One may pond the pavement for a long time before getting a job. However, it is with luck that a job hunter meets the person who will offer a position to him or her, or learns of a vacancy that is not advertised. Being at the right place at the right time often helps one land a job, and this has all to do with luck. One can hardly succeed without hard work, but hard work without luck often leads to nothing. Luck has a great number of people find success. In fact, luck goes hand in hand with hard work.托福写作高分范文大全3Task:Some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes. Others believe that going to classes should be optional for students. Which point of view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.托福写作模板范文参考:Some people think that university students should be able to choose whether to go to classes or not. I could not disagree more with this idea. Even though students can have excused absences, for example, when they are sick or have something emergent to attend, generally they should be required to go to classes. In fact, attending classes has many advantages, three of them most important: learning from the teacher, interacting with classmates, and developing responsibility. Attending classes has the benefit of receiving the best that a teacher can offer. Good teachers review the difficult and key pints of the material in the course textbook. The best teachers do more than this. They conduct group discussion of the material, and present alternative points of view on the same issue. This increases students' real understanding and critical thinking. Moreover, teachers supplement the textbook material with information provide by guest speakers, which further enhances students' understanding. All this implies that, if students are absent from class, it is tantamount to forfeiting their right to full benefits of teacher-guided learning in class. Going to classes also helps students learn how to work with their classmates. In class, students need to put forward their ideas. They have to take questions from their classmates and when their classmates have a different point of view, they have to defend their own. All this is conducted in a friendly manner. Interaction of this kind teaches students about how to work with other people. Finally, going to classes enables students to develop responsibility. Having to finish all the assigned readings before class helps prepare them for getting a job. So does the requirement of being punctual for class. Similarly, having to complete assignment on time for class helps them to foster responsibility.Admittedly, students can obtain information from books, but they benefit a great deal more when they go to classes. They have the advantage of learning from their teacher, of interacting with other people, and of developing the responsibility required of a good worker as well as a good student. If these skills in life are in no sense optional, how can attending classes in a university be optional?托福写作高分范文大全4托福考试作文题目:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? 托福综合写作高分作文范文一The writer and the speaker have a debate on an animal called Pikas. The writer claims that Global warming will make the Pikas endangered, which is opposed by the following lecture.First, the writer claims that global warming causes the rise of temperature. Overheating leads to the death of Pikas. While the speaker views this issue from an opposite angle, according to him/her, the temperature varies when it comes to their habitats. Pitas will find some sheltered places, which are much cooler. Therefore, the population will remain stable.Secondly, the passage states that They will not collect and store enough food. However, the speaker casts doubt on this opinion by saying that If the temperature is high, Pikas eat and consume less food. More food can be stored for later use.Last, the writer argues that Pikas uses thick layer of snow to protect themselves. However, because of global warming, snow melts at a faster rate. By contrast, in accordance with the speaker, this claim does not hold water. Snow melting means the winter will end soon. They have more opportunities to reproduce. Thus the number of pikas will recover.托福综合写作高分作文范文二The reading and listening both talk about the location of Ophir. However, the professor contradicts the idea raised in the reading that kingdom Ophir was located in the South Asia.Firstly, the reading says that the origin of products like rare woods found in Ophir was only in South Asia. Whereas, the professor argues that there were many trading centers at an ancient time. Maybe Ophir was only one of them, and products from South Asia were transported to there, waiting to be sold. The rare woods may come from other places, in order to carry conveniences for merchants to bring them to some other places. Moreover, the reading claims that time spent on shipping from Ophir to the Mediterranean area can prove its location on South Asia. On the contrary, the lecture opposes that navigation and shipment technology 3000 years ago were primitive, and ships often got lost, which made the voyage at that time much longer than now. Therefore, it is normally for a city nearby to get to the Arabian Peninsula for such a long time. Finally, the reading states that there were similar words that were both used in Ophir and South Asia. Contrarily, the listening argues that the similarity of some words cannot prove the connection. For example, England and native Australia coincidently use the same word “dog”, but they did not have any connection at that time.【托福综合写作高分作文范文】。

A large company has more to offer in terms ofadvancement, training, and prestige. In a large company, I can start at an entry-level position and work myself up to the top. I couldstart in the mailroom and, once I know the company, can apply for a managerial position. In asmall company, there is not as much room to grow.In a large company, there are a variety of jobs. I could work in sales, in marketing, in distribution, inshopping, or in any department I applied for. I could be trained in a variety of positions and wouldhave valuable experience. In a small company, there would not be the same opportunity. In a large company, there would be more prestige. I could brag to my friends that I worked forone of the biggest companies in the world. Iwould always have something to talk about when Imet strangers. If I worked in a small company, I would always have to explain what the companydid.Working for a small company would not give me the same opportunities for advancement or on-the-job training as working for a larger company would. Nor would I be as proud to work for asmall company---unless the small company was my own.56 People work because they need money to live. What are some other reasons thatpeople work? Discuss one or more of these reasons. Use specific examples and detailsto support your answer.Although people work to earn money, money is not the main reason people stay in their jobs. They also work because they enjoy working, they receive job satisfaction, and they like the senseof accomplishment. Most people work for work’s sake. They enjoy going to an office, or store, or school each day. They like to interact with other people. They like to help people solve problems, learn something, orget a product. People like to help other people.A lot of people keep the same job because the job gives them a lot of satisfaction. They genuinelyenjoy what they do. This is true for most teachers. A teacher’s pay is not very great, but the jobsatisfaction can be very high. Helping someone learn is one of the greatest things anyonecan do.People enjoy their work because they like the sense of accomplishment. They like to know whatthey finished a project. People, who work in factories, take pride in the car they produce or thetelevision they assemble. When they see a car on the street, they can feel a sense ofaccomplishment. They helped make that car.Money is nice, but it is not the only reason people get up and go to work each day. I believe thatpeople work because they enjoy the act of working; they find their work personally rewarding; andthey like the feeling of a job well done托福写作满分作文学习243 Do you agree or disagree with the followingstatement? Use specific reasons and examples to support our answer.Dangerous sports or activities attract a certain type of person. This person is often a risk taker, an optimist, and a fatalist.People who take risks are found both in dangerous sports and business. But it is a special person who takes a risk with his own life as opposed to his money. My father was a risk taker. He put everything be owned into his business, but he stopped playing risky sports like horseback riding and skiing. Once his business was a success and he no longer bad to worry about providing for us, he returned on the age of 60,to the risky sports that he did as a youth.Someone who plays a dangerous sport must be an optimist. They cannot imagine that anything will happen to them. They never think about breaking their leg while skiing, falling off a cliff while rock climbing, falling on their head while sky diving. They live for the thrill of the moment without a thought to the many things that could go wrong.Rock climbers and sports car drivers must be fatalist. They might plan for potential problems, but once they have done everything they can do, the outcome is out of their bands. A motorcyclist when jumps across a narrow canyon will get the fastest, strongest bike available that will carry him or her across the canyon, however, wind conditions or other problems might interfere and the cyclist my fall short of his goal. Many people have the same traits of course. Many of us are risk takers, optimists and fatalists. But I think people who play dangerous sports must have these characteristics in abundance.50 Which is more important for success: the natural ability you are born with or hard work? Explain your opinion, using specific reasons and examples.Without a doubt, hard work is a much better predictor of success than natural ability. In my experience, I have seen this at work in sports, school, and work. Many athletes have a natural ability to run the fastest mile or kickthe ball the most accurately. Unless they work hard though, they will not be stars. They need to train daily, eat properly, live correctly. It takes hard work to be Number One.托福写作满分作文学习445 Some people think that human needs for farmland, housing, and industry are more important that saving land for endangered animals. Do you agree or disagree with this point of view? Why or why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. In the past, there have been many endangered animals. Now they are extinct. Does it matter? Has our environment been affected by their absence? Has the quality of our own life been changed? The answer to these questions is “Yes.”Yes. It does matter if we destroy an endangered species habitat to develop more farmland, housing or industrial parks. There is a delicate balance of nature. If one small part is removed, it will effect all the other parts. For example, if certain trees are cut down, bats will have no place to roost. If they cannot roost, they cannot breed. If there are no bats, there will be no animal, or bird to eat certain insects that plague our crops.Yes. Our environment has been affected by the absence of certain animals. Certain flowers are pollinated by butterflies, which migrate from Canada to Mexico. Some of the breeding grounds of these butterflieswere destroyed. Now these flowers are disappearing from certain areas. We will no longer be able to enjoy their beauty.Yes. The quality of our life has been changed America used to be covered with giant trees. Now we have to visit them in one small park. Rain forests around the world are being cut down to make room for humans. We will never be able to see or study this fragile ecosystem.I would encourage us humans to look for other alternatives for our farmlands, housing, and industries. We have alternatives; the animals do not.46 What is a very important skill a person should learning in order to be successful in the world today? Choose one skill and use specific reasons and examples to support your choice. The one skill I would choose for success is tolerance. I do not define success economically. I define success socially. To succeed in the future, we will need to be tolerant of one another’s background, opinions, and lifestyle. The world is becoming increasingly mobile. We no longer are able to live and work only with people who went to the same schools and went to the same parties as our parents and we did. Now, we will work directly with people whose backgrounds are completely different from ours. We must be tolerant of these differences as they must be tolerant of us if we are to live and work together amiably. We cannot stop speaking to people or start a war just because there is a difference in opinion. We must learn to be tolerant of one another and respect these differences in opinion. We have to find a common ground, an idea we can both agree on. Once we have agreement on one subject, it will be easier to settle differences in other subjects.Different people have different lifestyles. We must accept these differences even though they may be different than what we are used to. Woman can live on their own, hold important jobs, and raise children on their own. Men can stay home and take care of children. Social roles can change and we must be tolerant of these changes. To succeed socially, you must be adapted to differences. You must be tolerant of all peoples regardless of their background, their opinions, or their lifestyles. At school, I have seen many very bright students do poorly on exams. They count on their intelligence to get them through. However, unless they do their homework every day, participate in class discussions, and study for exams, they will be the bottoms of the class. Many salespeople can talk with anyone and convince him or her to buy something. They have a natural ability to sell. They must however apply some hard work to this skill. They must learn a lot about their customers, about the product they are selling, and about the market, they must put some effort into the paper work that goes along with thesale. If they don’t follow through, the sale will not be made.Whatever the area, whether on the playing field, at school, or on the sales floor, a person must not rely on his natural ability along if he or she wants to succeed. They must work hard to be a success.。

托福出色范文一:题目:Some people think zoos are cruel and all the zoos should be closed. However, some people think zoos are useful to protect the rare animals. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.一些人认为动物园应该被关闭。
而其他人认为动物园有利于保护稀有动物。
讨论双边观点并给出你的看法。
范文:Currently, the discussion about whether to close zoos is becoming popular. Some people proclaim that zoos are cruel and all should be closed, on the other hand, towards the same issue, some others are confident that zoos are useful to protect rare animals. It is quite natural that people from different backgrounds may have divergentattitudes towards it.People, who advocate that caging animals in zoos are cruel and therefore all of them should be closed, have their sound reasons. The main reason is that keeping animals in captivity goes against animal rights. In addition, man should not believe that he has the disposable power of treating other species. Moreover, it will give bad influences to animals evolution if we keep them in cages for their whole life and they will lose the ability of seeking food themselves. To begin with, caged animals may lose their natural instinct to seek food, to protect them against natural predators, and to solicit breeding partners. Accordingly, this will lead to a miserable life that they are compelled to accept, rather than willingly to lead. In addition, because bared animals are carefree, they would again lose their in-born abilities that would otherwise enable them to survive and thrive at a natural habitat. Consequently, even when they are freed after being kept in cage for some time they will probably drop the ability to undergo a natural evolution. There is no denying that there is some truth in the above point of view. However, to some peoples mind, it is useful to protect rare animals of using zoos. Above all, although man is the dominant species on the planet, all species enjoy the same right to survive here, we should respect other life forms by taking every effort we can to prevent the extinction of existing species. For another, zoos are suitable habitats for some species which are on the verge of dying out due to hunting. Finally, in fact, farming animals is much less brutal than the pain and hardship that animals inflict on each other in the wild.To sum up, we cannot deny that both sides arewell-grounded. In my opinion, the best way is building natural protect area to replace zoos. Then, we can protect every species no matter they are in extinction, and children can see the vivid life to expand their knowledge, also can keep the ability of animals of seeking food. If there are more natural protect areas, that will be the perfect way for our sustainable development.托福出色范文二:题目:Ambition is an important characteristic of people. Rather than help children with schoolwork, parents should let children work independently.
So fierce is the social competition that students are now burdened with increasing expectations and pressure both from their parents and schools, as is made evident by the tons of schoolwork that students are required to finish. Some people claim that students, regardless of the workload, should work independently, whereas others argue that parents, both the guardians and mentors of their kids, are supposed to assist in the schoolwork. Personally, I am in favor of the former.
To begin with, some parents may mislead their children academically. There is no denying that not all the parents are equipped with academic knowledge: they may not be familiar with functions, nor might they have any idea about chemical bonds. Therefore, if a child turns to his or her parents for help when encountering a puzzle, the parents might misguide their child due to the lack of related academic knowledge. I, myself, had such an experience when I was in middle school. I was preparing the physics class when I got confused about a question: If you drop two items from the same height, will they reach the ground at the same time? Of course, it does not count as a question when you have learnt gravity, but as a secondary school student, I did not have any clue to the outcome. My father happened to come into my room and saw me pondering. “Dad, will two items hit the ground simultaneously if dropped at the same height?” I asked. Without any hesitation, my father replied, “It depends on the weights of the two items. You see, if you drop a feather and a metal, which do you think will be faster? It is the metal of course.”It was not until when I learnt acceleration of gravity that I realized that what my father said was totally erroneous. Judging from my personal experience, I believe parents are not always the best teachers in our schoolwork.
In addition, the ability to cope with schoolwork independently fosters the capability to deal with other business. For one thing, it helps children come up with creative solutions. Without parents’ hel p, children are likely to search the
Internet for answers, seek the advice from their peers, or simply figure out the questions themselves. By doing so, not only do they achieve better remedies for the problems, but also they acquire the ability to obtain answers in different approaches. For another, encouraging their children to work alone, parents are paving the way for the independence of their children. A 2013 survey conducted by Youth Teaching Program indicated that children who did their schoolwork wi thout parents’ assistance were more likely to be independent in tending daily business like folding up their quilts or cleaning their own rooms, and when hunting for jobs, those “independent” children have a 14.6% higher employment rate than those “dependent” children. Based on the two points, inspiring children to work alone do have merits.
From what has been discussed above, I may safely draw the conclusion that for the sake of their children’s development s, parents should let their children work independently.。
