二、教材分析1. 教学内容：本课的教学内容是新标准英语（三年级起始用）第四册第八模块第一单元：I was two.本课通过Lingling的爷爷奶奶以及Lingling的照片，来描述过去发生的事情，出现了过去与现在进行对比的句型。
2. 教学目标：知识目标：使学生能够听懂会、会说课文内容。
能力目标：使学生能够使用‘was’和‘were’谈论过去。
情感目标：培养学生细心观察、乐于发现的学习态度。
3. 教学难点帮助学生理解‘then’的意义以及运用。
三、教法学法1. 教法：在本课的教学中将情景教学法、直观教学法及任务教学法等多种教学法灵活地容入教学中，使学生能够在相对真实的情景中通过直观的感受体验知识的生成与运用，从而较好的理解知识并通过任务的完成运用知识，达到知识的内化。
2. 学法：教给学生如何通过细心观察、积极参与、合作交流等方法学会、掌握并运用知识。
四、设计流程（一）热身部分由Big Buddha 自然产出It’s so big/tall。
由Big Buddha到猜测Where am I from；由City 说到地理位置的变化( On Monday, I was in Leshan, but now I am in Xiamen.)，让学生在真实的语境中第一次感受一般过去时的用法。
日期出现的同时我引进了时间轴的概念，明确标识出过去及现在的界定，在强调‘now’的同时，第一次让学生对比感受过去的时间。
（二）导入及呈现部分：用儿子的照片来展开谈论。
为了让学生对过去与现在有一个清晰的认识，在谈论时采用了先分后和的办法。
