Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In order to succeed in doing a new job, the ability to adapt oneself to the new environment is more important than the excellent knowledge of this job.
Issues about jobs are invariably popular whatever which era it is. Almost every time I go to bookstore, the shelves of the most popular books invariably list reams of books about jobs, such as to tell readers how to attract human department employee in an interview of a company, how to strengthen the relationship between fellows, etc. The most common one is whether good skills of adapting new environment is a more vital components of success than excellent knowledge. The response differs from person to person. However, from my point of view, ability to adapt new job or environment serves a more important role.
First of all, quickly soaking yourself in an unfamiliar environment enables you to largely show your potentials. A new coming employee especially trainee might face the dilemma that he feels nervous about handling new task. It is detrimental if he cannot adjust appropriate attitude towards it. A latest study has showed that people usually make much more unconscious mistakes while they are nervous. Thus, provided a new staff consecutively makes common mistakes, others especially entrepreneur will regard him as someone who do not pay attention to the task which assigned to him or he actually do not interest in it. Being fired is not the worst fruits but a unhappy experience on your resume.

Secondly, being familiar with other fellows gives you foundation of success. Like a famous old saying goes, without the help of others, no one can achieve anything. I have learned in business and management course that every single department in the company actually relates each other. For instance, the marketing department should have a close bond with research center for being familiar with the new version of product and it is rather helpful for employees to create appealing and successful advertisements.

Last but not least, becoming part of the circle enables you to give others a positive and enthusiastic first impression. According to the latest research, people tends to rely on their feelings about a stranger at first glance, whether he seems out-going or introverted. A easy-going and optimistic figure is of great significance on later work despite the actual basic skills and knowledge are also needed .
In summary, adapting into new working environment is indeed vital than extraordinary knowledge about the job, for exhibiting your potentials largely, owning close relationships with fellows and showing your positive attitude towards the job.。
