1、环境问题的严重性人们曾经相信地球上的一切生命都是平等的，没有高低之分，甚至连人类自己也认为这个世界上不存在所谓高人一等的东西。
但是在如今这个高度发达的社会结构下，环境的破坏和污染却给人一种被愚弄和轻视的感觉。
人类所拥有的资源只占地球总资源总量的3%左右。
而现在世界上已经大约有57%的人口生活在发展中国家。
如果不加以限制和控制的话，那么到本世纪末地球上一半以上人将会死于癌症、艾滋病和各种疾病之中。
据估计，地球上每30个人中就会有一个患有癌症或者其他严重疾病。
还有一种看法认为人类应该完全灭绝一切动物。
人类对于其他动物造成威胁或者伤害最多的动物应该还是哺乳动物以及鸟类。
还有人主张人类应该发展其他产业来保护生物多样性、改善环境并增加经济收入等。
但是这些想法都只是一些小规模甚至是幼稚的想法。
