一、热带雨林气候：地理位置：刚果河流域、马来群岛、大巽他群岛、亚马逊河流域。气候特点：全年高温多雨。形成原因：受赤道低压控制，盛行上升气流，全年高温年多雨。

二、热带草原气候：地理位置：分布在南北纬5°～15°范围内，也有的地方延伸到25°，非洲大陆例外。气候特点：全年高温、干湿季明显。形成原因: 一地区，当这一地区正午太阳高度较大或最大时，该地区受赤道低压带控制，降水充沛。当正午太阳高度较小或最小时，该地区受信风控制被抬升形成降雨。在内陆地区降雨稀少。

三、热带季风气候：地理位置：印度半岛、中南半岛。气候特点：全年高温、干湿季明显。形成原因：随着太阳直射点的移动，东南信风向北偏移，在印度形成雨季；在亚洲高压控制下形成旱季。

四、热带沙漠气候：地理位置：撒哈拉沙漠、阿拉伯半岛、塔尔沙漠、澳大利亚中西部。气候特点：全年降水稀少，气温年较差大。气候成因：受副热带高压控制，盛行下沉气流。

五、亚热带季风气候和季风性湿润气候：地理位置：分布在各个大陆的东南部。气候特点：夏季高温多雨，冬季低温少雨。形成原因：冬季受蒙古高压控制低温少雨，夏季受海洋气团的控制高温多雨。

六、温带季风气候：地理位置：分布在亚欧大陆东部。气候特点：夏季温暖湿润，冬季寒冷干燥。形成原因：海路热力性质的差异，气压带风带的季节移动。

七、温带海洋性气候：地理位置：欧洲西部。气候特点：东部冷，夏不热，全年降水均匀在

700~1000mm之间。形成原因：终年受盛行西风控制。

八、温带大陆性气候（包括严寒带针叶林气候）：地理位置：亚欧大陆中部、北美大陆中部。气候特点：冬季严寒，夏季暖热，年降水较少。形成原因：终年受大陆气团控制。

九、地中海气候：地理位置：地中海沿岸。气候特点：冬季温和多雨，夏季炎热干燥。形成原因：夏季，副热带高压北移，使其位于副高控制之下，盛行下沉气流。冬季，气压带南移，使其位于西风控制之下，西风从海洋上带来了热量和降水。

十、极地气候（包括苔原合冰原气候）：地理位置：两极地区。气候特点：严寒低温，降水较少。形成原因：受极地高压控制，地表接受太阳辐射较少。

A cold front i s s w inging in from Canada w hile a w arm front i s moving up from the P acific. Meanwhile, precipitation

is developing in the southern part of the state while strong wind i s moving down from the north. There could be 3 to 5 inches of sno w on Thursday or Friday i f it gets cold enough. Other w i s e there could be havey rain. Y et there still exists the possibility that the coulds may be pushed out by w ind w ell before then. So frankly we have no idea whatsoever on what the w eather w ill be like next week.

This is roughly the w eather forecast on a local channel here in Urumqi

during the w eekend...one of the most bizarre and honest weather forecasts I've ever watched. It is refreshing to see that at least one of these so-called meteorologists (AKA weather men ... or women) understands the truth about the business -- one can never predi c t the weather, just like one can never predict life.
