格列佛游记读后感英文第2篇:《格列佛游记》英文读后感第3篇:格列佛游记英文读后感Don’t be a Yahoo Originally accomplished by an English writer Jonathan Swift in 1726, and later on adapted for a film by Charles Sturridge and a cartoon by Peter R.Hunt, Gulliver’s Travels is such a famous satirical novel that influences both adults and children. The editionI read is one of the adaptations, published by Oxford University.I was completely absorbed in its fantastically designed plot and the deep meaning it conveys to my mind. The author, Jonathan Swift, is an English satirist, statesman and poet.He was born in a poor family in Ireland and was brought up by his uncle. When he grew up, he became a private secretary in Moore Park with other’s help. The master of the park was an experienced politician and philosopher. There’s no doubt that he gave a huge impact on Swift.During those years, Swift went through so much that after he left the park, he spared no effort to fight for freedom and independence for Irish people. The Gulliver’s Travels, wrote by the year 1726, exposing the darkne of the society at that time. The leading character—Gulliver, who travels to the imaginary lands of Lilliput, Brobdingnag, Laputa and the country of the Houyhnhnms, hadexperienced much during the expedition. All of these four voyages brought new opportunities and future to Gulliver’s life, and these are also for satirizing the way of the English. The first voyage is to Lilliput where people are extremely small, so Gulliver is a giant to Lilliputians.Lilliputians seem friendly but actually they are very ridiculous and stupid, the king even wanted to kill Gulliver because he made water to put out a fire to save the queen’s life. The second voyage is to Brobdingnag which is absolutely different from Lilliput.Gulliver is like a Lilliputian in Europe and he began to understand how a very small creature feels before a giant.Luckily, his master is very kind to him.But the king laughed at his country, which is famous for its beautiful places, its brave and honest people and criticized its inhuman, cruel ideas about murdering people. The third voyage is to putans are strange-looking and their main interests are music and mathematics. They pay little attention to others, so it’s very difficult to talk with them.Gulliver also went to the Glubdugdribb and Luggnagg nearby. In a visit to Glubdugdribb, Gulliver was able to call ghosts to answer his questions. In Luggnagg, he learnt something about Stuldbrugs, who are miserable for their long lives with poor heath. The last voyage is to the country of Houyhnhnms, which is controlled by horses.Gulliver felt happy with these sensible, gentle creatures, which never lied or stole, ina country which had no disease, no crime, and no wars. But at last, he had to leave. On returning to England, Gulliver felt disappointed with other humans, including his children and wife.He found himself is so stupid to think that he could bring reason and truth into their lives and thoughts. So he told others to keep away from him.As the narrator said “human are all Yahoos and Yahoos they will remain”.Yahoo, described as an ugly animal, is a reflection of human beings.Yahoos had human faces and they also so violently fond of the pieces of gold or silver that they dig for days to get them out of the ground, and hide them jealously from other yahoos. This is really an action of human.I don’t like people who are always thinking about how to attack other countries and kill tens of thousands of people who have never hurt them. They do these only with the purpose of conquering more lands. As far as I’m concerned, if we think like the horses in Houyhnhnms, don’t let lies, crimes and wars exist, our world would be more beautiful and peaceful. In a word, don’t be a Yahoo!第4篇:格列佛游记英文读后感Gulliver's Travel格列佛游记英文读后感(原创,人格保证)"When bending my eyes downward as much as I could, I perceiveda human not six inches high!" I haven't read this book since I read it as a child, and it was amazing how much of it had stuck with me, and how vividly.Gulliver's Travels is one of the most exciting adventures novels.I like reading the adventure stories ,and I read many books, but Gulliver's Travels is one of the most exciting fantasy adventures ever written.Gulliver's Travels are broken up into four parts. The first two parts are the most famous, where Gulliver visits is a land in which he is a giant and another in which it is filled with giants。

格列佛游记英语读后感篇1One of the most interesting questions about gullivers travels is whether the houyhnhnms represent an ideal of rationality or whether on the other hand they are the butt of swift's satire. in other words, in book iv,is swift poking fun at the talking horses or does he intend for us to take them seriously as the proper way to act? If we look closely at the way that the houyhnhnms act,we can see that in fact swift does not take them seriously:he uses them to show the dangers of pride.First we have to see that swift does not even take gullver seriously. for instance, his name sounds much like gullible, which suggests that he will believe anything. also, when he first sees the yahoos and they throw excrement on him,he responds by doing the same in return until they run away.He says, “I must needs disc over some more rational being,” even though as a human he is already the most rational being there is. This is why swift refers to erasmus darwins discovery of the origin of the species and the voyage of the beagle to show how gulliver knows that people are at the top of the food chain. But if lemule gulliver is satirized,so are the houyhnhnms, whose voices sound like the call of castrati. They walk on two legs instead of four, and seem to be much like people. As gulliver says, “it was with the utmostastonishment that I witnessed these creatures playing the flute and dancing a vienese waltz. To my mind, they seemed like the greatest humans ever seen in court, even more dextrous than the lord edmund burke.”As this quote demonstrates, gulliver is terribly impressed, but his admiration for the houyhnhnms is short lived because they are so prideful. For instance, the leader of the houyhnhnms claims that he has read all the works of charles dickens, and that he can singlehandedly recite the names of all the kings and queens of england up to george ii.Swift subtly shows that this houyhnhnms pride is misplaced when,in the middle of the intellectual competition,he forgets the name of queen elizabeths husband.Swifts satire of the houyhnhnms comes out in other ways as well. One of the most memorable scenes is when the dapple grey mare attempts to woo the horse that guenivre has brought with him to the island. first she acts flirtatiously, parading around the bewildered horse. But when this does not have the desired effect, she gets a nother idea: “as I watched in amazement from my perch in the top of a tree, the sorrel nag dashed off and returned with a yahoo on her back who was yet more monstrous than mr.Pope being fitted by a clothier. She dropped this creature before my nag as if offering up a sacrifice. My horse sniffed the creature and turned away.”It might seem that we should take this scene seriously as a failed attempt at courtship, and that consequently we should see the grey mare as an unrequited lover. But it makes more sense if we see that swift is being satiric here:It is the female houyhnhnm who makes the move, which would not have happened in eighteenth century england. the houyhnhm is being prideful, and it is that pride that makes him unable to impress gullivers horse.gulliver imagines the horse saying, sblood, the notion of creating the bare backed beast with an animal who had held mr.Pope on her back makes me queezy.A final indication that the houyhnmns are not meant to be taken seriously occurs when the leader of the houynhms visits lilliput, where he visits the french royal society. He goes into a room in which a scientist is trying to turn wine into water (itself a prideful act that refers to the marriage at gallilee). The scientist has been working hard at the experiment for many years without success, when the houyhnmn arrives and immediately knows that to do: “the creature no sooner stepped through the doorway than he struck upon a plan. slurping up all the wine in sight, he quickly made water in a bucket that sat near the d oor.”He has accomplished the scientists goal, but the scientist is not happy, for his livelihood has now been destroyed.Swifts clear implication is that even though the houyhnhmns are smart, they do not know how to use that knowledge for the benefit of society, only for their own prideful agrandizement.Throughout gullivers travels, the houyhnhms are shown to be an ideal gone wrong.Though their intent might have been good, they don't know how to do what they want to do because they are filled with pride. They mislead gulliver and they even mislead themselves. The satire on them is particularly well explained by the new born houyhnhm who, having just been born, exclaims,“with this sort of entrance, what must I expect from the rest of my life!”格列佛游记英语读后感篇2British writer Jonathan; Swift's Gulliver's travels, the novel describes the adventures of Gulliver with a keen irony and humor, fantastic imagination and exaggeration, and travels around the world four times, experiencing great and small adventure. The first voyage with lefou road in distress, escape, drift left to Lilliput, is bound to the king. However, the gentle performance of Gulliver gradually won the favor of the king and the people, and he gradually became familiar with the customs of the small country. Later in Gulliver's help to defeat the same is Lilliput "but Fugu Si" Gulliver to exterminate Blefuscu Empire, the emperor was not happy. At this time, the empress palace fire in Gulliver's wisdom, pee put out the fire, who knows but let the queen was very angry. So, to get rid of Lilliput and gulliver. Gulliver heard the wind, quickly fled to the Empire of Blefuscu, later returned safely to england. The second time, Gulliver went to the adult state, before in the small country, Gulliver is a monster, but now, he is not even an ant in adults! Because he is a special type in the adult state, and was received as a small thing in the suitcase, brought to the town show exhibition. Later, after three years, Gulliver to accompany the king tour frontier. Because of Gulliver's homesick, and pretended to be sick, came to the seaside and breathe the fresh air. But the eagle in the sky took him live in the box for a turtle hung up.The next few eagle in the air battle, the box fell into the sea, a ship was passing found Gulliver, after being rescued, he sailed back to England. But the heart of Gulliver's travel around the world is not destroyed, in the third Gulliver went to the flying island, visited in Laputa and Glubbdubdrib, who looks abnormal, strange clothing, all be in a brown study. In the Academy of science, designers are engaged in the study of some subject result be a wild legend, the land desolate, the collapse of the housing, the people had no food, no clothes. In the people onthe island, he is good at master magic, necromancy, they learned, found the historical truth is powerful in the world to deceive. Gref also visited La NEGELE Kingdom, see a man of immortality "sitelubu". After leaving the country, Gulliver came to Japan, and then went back to england. He ironically tells British characteristics at that time: "greed, the party struggles, hypocrisy, no letters, cruelty, anger, resentment, jealousy, lust, crazy, sinister and ambitions." He sarcastically described the bizarre phenomenon of human animal upside down: Ma became rational carrier, while the others into a dirty, smelly urine dashing, greedy for inferior animal yehuda. He talks about human nature, is willing to be enslaved by money, not extravagant waste, that is, greed. The author not only satirize the British society at that time, but I think it is more important to decide the whole human society. Alemayehu represents human beings, while the hero is so disgusted with Alemayehu. All the lines of the book reveal the author's dissatisfaction with the society. On the other hand, the hero's life in the Hui country and Hui Yuan is the most unforgettable. Their country does not have words of evil, like deceit, doubt, cunning, and so on. So their society will not be deceived, suspected, cunning, framed, conspiracy, bribery...... That world is a place full of happiness and happiness. So that when the hero left there, he shed sad tears. After reading Gulliver's travels, we can not help but examine ourselves. Do we have the shadow of these stubborn roots?.Although our society does not decline as the United Kingdom at that time, but where to go or not. Petty theft, littering, vandalism. It's all around us. Murder, drug smuggling, brutal crazy. It's not surprising that we often see things on tv.Such a turbid society is something we need to clarify. Now we can't do anything spectacular, but we can do what we can do. Even lower your head, pick up a piece of garbage, write an environmental article, call friends relatives...... This is something we can easily do.格列佛游记英语读后感篇3One of the most interesting questions about Gullivers Travels is whether the Houyhnhnms represent an ideal of rationality or whether on the other hand they are the butt of Swift's satire. Lilliput small indeed, gulliver one hand can drag their whole naval fleet. Basically it is one over twelve of the miniature country. Author patient describes gulliver a meal to eat how many chickens, ducks of cattle and sheep, how many barrels of wine and so on, repeatedly remind the reader of the proportion. Lilliput, for example, citizens in order to put the monster to his city, using the five hundred artisans, built a seven feet long, four feet wide, wooden wheels made oftwenty-two: but the main difficulty is how to put the author carried to the car. In order to achieve this goal, they went up in a eighty - foot pole. The workers with a belt tied up the author's neck, hands, feet and body; And then used as thick as the author bind their items with ropes, a head on the blockat the top of the beams. Article nine hundred the man began to pull the rope together, less than three hours, he put up on the car... Fifteen thousand tall florian, there are more than four feet high, and dragged me heading for the capital...In this small toys world, all the ambition and crawling, small petty political infighting and war. And we are huge, the five thousand - year - old civilization with China, if we can make the national people's ambition to join together, I think at the moment, our country is already the world powers.Later, gulliver went to the brobdingnag, he with the king of brobdingnag a dialogue, not only constitute the criticism of the UK, also shows the two different way of thinking, and make them are reviewed. Gulliver's travelsirony in at the same time, reveals the status quo and composition of certain language simulation and sarcasm. This is also the reason why I like this book. The gulliver to the work of the milk of human kindness, and put the novel into another level of irony: namely the suspicion of human nature. Two scale change some negative effect. In brobdingnag, it becomes veryclear - because of gulliver himself into a "little people" : he used hislittle pieces of small COINS to the giant to please; His knife sword, showtheir own brave; He and the queen loved dwarf make antinomy, the bucket. Buthis please protect action and a desperate - because he could hurt by any external power at any time. So, the criticism of social reality and then into the common humanity's suspicions. About "money" is a real problem deeply real example. In volume 4, gulliver came to Malaysia has no money, no army, the police,in order to make his hui a team of four horses Lord knows why to deceive threw looting, burning and killing, and so on. This is the key to this book. All in all, this book brings us is in a country that reviews and satire, and let me love.参考翻译:格列佛这3个字,一看就没什么大不了的,可当我看完这本《格列佛游记》时,我再也不觉得这个人没什么了。
格列佛游记英文观后感

格列佛游记英文观后感After reading "Gulliver's Travels", I was deeply impressed by Jonathan Swift's vivid imagination and sharp satire This novel is not just an adventure story but also a profound reflection on human society and human natureThe protagonist, Lemuel Gulliver, embarks on several extraordinary voyages, each taking him to a strange and fantastical land In Lilliput, where the people are tiny, he discovers the pettiness and absurdity of power struggles The tiny Lilliputians fight over trivial matters like which end of an egg to break, and this absurdity mirrors the equally petty and often meaningless disputes among humans in our own world Their obsession with power and status, despite their minuscule size, shows that human vices are not dependent on physical stature but are deeply rooted in our natureIn Brobdingnag, the opposite occurs Gulliver is the tiny one among giants Here, Swift contrasts the physical enormity of the Brobdingnagians with their simple, virtuous, and wise nature This contrast makes us question our assumptions about size and significance Are we, in our "normal" size, any more intelligent or virtuous than those who are either smaller or larger than us? It forces us to look beyond appearances and consider the true value of wisdom and moralityThe flying island of Laputa and the land of the Houyhnhnms also offer unique perspectives Laputa represents the absurdity of theoretical knowledge divorced from practical application, and the selfabsorbedintellectuals who float above the realities of life The Houyhnhnms, on the other hand, are noble and rational horses, while the humanlike Yahoos are depicted as brutish and vile This inversion challenges our notions of what it means to be civilized and intelligentSwift's satire is not only humorous but also cutting He uses these fantastical settings and characters to expose the follies and vices of human society, such as war, corruption, greed, and vanity Through Gulliver's experiences, we see how power corrupts, how pride blinds, and how ignorance limits our progressThe book also makes me think about the nature of exploration and discovery Gulliver's travels are not just physical but also intellectual and moral He is constantly challenged by the new and the unfamiliar, and through these challenges, he (and we, the readers) are forced to reevaluate our beliefs and values It reminds us that true exploration is not just about visiting new places but about opening our minds and hearts to new ideas and ways of thinkingIn conclusion, "Gulliver's Travels" is a timeless classic that continuesto resonate with readers of all ages It is a reminder of our flaws and potential, and a call to be more critical, more compassionate, and more wise in our dealings with the world and each other It is a book that makes us laugh at the absurdity of human behavior while also encouraging us to strive for betterment Reading it has been a thoughtprovoking and enriching experience that I will carry with me for a long time。

格列佛游记英文读后感 1 Gulliver’s Travel is a fairy tale written by Jonathan Swift. It’s a very interesting story full of imagination. Besides, the description is vivid and appealing, when I read it I feel like I’m traveling with the hero in the story.Jonathan Swift was born in Ireland, but his parents are English. He has written many books such as A Tale of A Tub and The Battle of Books, respectively criticizes and attacks the corruption of religion and prejudice of scholar authority. Theauthor of the book is the best satirical expert and politician in Britain in the early eighteenth Century - Jonathan Swift. The first place in Gullivers adventures was the villain. There he was able to drag the entire naval fleet with one hand, a large number of chickens, ducks, cattle and sheep, and lots of barrels of wine at a meal. In order to send the giant to the capital, he used five hundred craftsmen, countless ropes, nine hundred big men, fifteen thousand big royal horses, and so on. In a small country so that all competition and war inevitably seem small petty. With the height of heel partisan divide, "high-heeled party" and "low with Party infighting, neighboring countries not only irreconcilable opposed to; want to conquer and enslave each other, but also should eat egg debate where head knock like trifles" principles "problem.Giant in the country, he has become giants of the doll, was playing in the palm of your hand, and fight against flies and birds; later, he came to the mysterious flying island, people here use the flying island of the lower part of the natural magnet and the seabed under the force of a magnet, want to move, this is also a at any time, engage in some special summoned the ghost of dialogue rather baffling the study of the strange country.I admire the hero to honor to Hui from country to country, Hui from country to country is the pursuit of the ideal situation and yearning, here you dont need to worry about other people say is true, but in reality, there are so many things we dont want to see someone with blandishments cheat other peoples hard-earned money, people and children profiteering and some people even sacrifice their all for money. No wonder our parents and teachers have taught us to be vigilant and not to be deceived. This is very difficult to unite with others, who help others and love others. When I meet someone who is in trouble, I want to lend a helping hand. I hesitate. When someone comes to help me out, I cant accept it. All this makes me feel miserable, contradictory and at a loss what to do. Isnt it sad that it prevents me from "loving" other people and also "missing" other peoples love?I am looking forward to the day when our society is like the kingdom of Hui, the childrens eyes no longer have doubts, and education and reality are united. I would like to work hard for this, and I hope all of you will join me in doing it yourself, and from now on, let this society be more sincere and less hypocritical.格列佛游记英文读后感 3 On this holiday, I read a book called Gullivers travels. The author of the book is the best satirical expert and politician in Britain in the early eighteenth Century - Jonathan Swift. With the height of heel partisan divide, "high-heeled party" and "low with Party infighting, neighboring countries not only irreconcilable opposed to; want to conquer and enslave each other, but also should eat egg debate where head knock like trifles" principles "problem. Giant in the country, he has become giants of the doll, was playing in the palm of your hand, and fight against flies and birds; later, he came to the mysterious flying island, people here use the flying island of the lower part of the natural magnet and the seabed under the force of a magnet, want to move, this is also a at any time, engage in some special summoned the ghost of dialogue rather baffling the study of the strange country. I admire the hero to honor to Hui from country to country, Hui fromcountry to country is the pursuit of the ideal situation and yearning, here you dont need to worry about other people say is true, but in reality, there are so many things we dont want to see someone with blandishments cheat other peoples hard-earned money, people and children profiteering and some people even sacrifice their all for money. Isnt it sad that it prevents me from "loving" other people and also "missing" other peoples love? I am looking forward to the day when our society is like the kingdom of Hui, the childrens eyes no longer have doubts, and education and reality are united. I would like to work hard for this, and I hope all of you will join me in doing it yourself, and from now on, let this society be more sincere and less hypocritical.格列佛游记英文读后感 4 One of the most interesting questions about Gullivers Travels is whether the Houyhnhnms represent an ideal of rationality or whether on the other hand they are the butt of Swifts satire. In other words, in Book IV, is Swift poking fun at the talking horses or does he intend for us to take them seriously as the proper way to act? If we look closely at the way that the Houyhnhnms act, we can see that in fact Swift does not take them seriously: he uses them to show the dangers of pride.First we have to see that Swift does not even take Gullver seriously. For instance, his name sounds much like gullible, which suggests that he will believe anything. Also, when he first sees the Yahoos and they throw excrement on him, he responds by doing the same in return until they run away. He says, "I must needs discover some more rational being," even though as a human he is already the most rational being there is. This is why Swift refers to Erasmus Darwins discovery of the origin of the species and the voyage of the Beagle-to show how Gulliver knows that people are at the top of the food chain. But if Lemule Gulliver is satirized, so are the Houyhnhnms, whose voices sound like the call of castrati. They walk on two legs instead of four, and seem to be much like people. As Gulliver says, "It was with the utmost astonishment that I witnessed these creatures playing the flute and dancing a Vienese waltz. To my mind, they seemed like the greatest humans ever seen in court, even more dextrous than the Lord Edmund Burke" . As this quote demonstrates, Gulliver is terribly impressed, but his admiration for the Houyhnhnms is short-lived because they are so prideful. For instance, the leader of the Houyhnhnms claims that he has read all the works of Charles Dickens, and that he can singlehandedly recite the names of all the Kings and Queens of England up to George II. Swift subtly shows that this Houyhnhnms pride is misplaced when, in the middle of the intellectual competition, he forgets the name of Queen Elizabeths husband.Swifts satire of the Houyhnhnms comes out in other ways as well. One of the most memorable scenes is when the dapple grey mare attempts to woo the horse that Guenivre has brought with him to the island. First she acts flirtatiously, parading around the bewildered horse. But when this does not have the desired effect, she gets another idea: "As I watched in amazement from my perch in the top of a tree, the sorrel nag dashed off and returned with a yahoo on her back who was yet more monstrous than Mr. Pope being fitted by a clothier. She dropped this creature before my nag as if offering up a sacrifice. My horse sniffed the creature and turned away."It might seem that we should take this scene seriously as a failed attempt at courtship, and that consequently we should see the grey mare as an unrequited lover. But it makes more sense if we see that Swift is being satiric here: it is the female Houyhnhnm who makes the move, which would not have happened in eighteenth-century England. The Houyhnhm is being prideful, and it is that pride that makes him unable to impress Gullivers horse. Gulliver imagines the horse saying, Sblood, the notion of creating the bare backed beast with an animal who had held Mr. Pope on her back makes me queezy .A final indication that the Houyhnmns are not meant to be taken seriously occurs when the leader of the Houynhms visits Lilliput, where he visits the French Royal Society. He goes into a room in which a scientist is trying to turn wine into water (itself a prideful act that refers to the marriage at Gallilee). The scientist has been working hard at the experiment for many years without success, when the Houyhnmn arrives and immediately knows that to do: "The creature no sooner stepped through the doorway than he struck upon a plan. Slurping up all the wine in sight, he quickly made water in a bucket that sat near the door" .He has accomplished the scientists goal, but the scientist is not happy, for his livelihood has now been destroyed. Swifts clear implication is that even though the Houyhnhmns are smart, they do not know how to use that knowledge for the benefit of society, only for their own prideful agrandizement.Throughout Gullivers Travels, the Houyhnhms are shown to be an ideal gone wrong. Though their intent might have been good, they dont know how to do what they want to do because they are filled with pride. They mislead Gulliver and they even mislead themselves. The satire on them is particularly well explained by the new born Houyhnhm who, having just been born, exclaims, "With this sort of entrance, what must I expect from the rest of my life!"格列佛游记英文读后感 5 In this winter vacation, I read a book called Gullivers travels. This book is a famous satirical novel written by swift, a famous British satirist (I only know this later). When I bought the book, I knew the general contents of the book, because I had read the essence of the book before. There are many fantastic contents in this book. Its clearly a fantasy, but its portrayed so truthfully by the author. It seems that the author has made great efforts in creating this book. This book, written in the first person, describes the fantastic experience of a doctor named Gulliver. The doctor liked to explore the sea, but the bad luck seemed to follow him all the way -the ship capsized, the pirates met, or the crew mutinied. However, due to these misfortunes, he came to four magical islands. On the four islands he came to, either the people on the island were very small, or the people on the island were very big, and there was also an island where there were no people but horses. All in all, these islands are unimaginable. What left me the most profound influence is "Lilliputian country". The people on this island are surprisingly small. High is only as high as one finger. On this island, Gulliver is regarded as a giant. Lilliputian is not a whole, it is divided into many pieces. Like our world, people are divided. As a result, wars are often waged there. Gulliver helped his "King" to defeat the enemy many times and was greatly praised by the king. However, one day, the princesss bedroom caught fire. The fire was very fierce. Gulliver was in a hurry and doused the fire with a bubble of urine. This made the princess very angry. The king read that he was a "meritorious minister" in Gulliver and pardoned his "crime". But the princess kept pestering him and had to put him to death. So, she came up with a vicious idea - now prick Gullivers eyes, and gradually reduce his food until he finally starved to death. Gulliver knew the news. So he took a boat all night and ran away. If Gulliver were me, I would not run away! I would punch the damnedPrincess hundreds of meters, and then throw her into the sea! Kill all those ungrateful people! Even if their "firepower" was no stronger, I would not be subdued. After letting them all pay the price, just leave! In fact, this kind of jealousy also exists in our class - Zhang Tianyis gang beating is a good example - which should be the first in the class, so we were beaten violently. This kind of jealousy should not exist. If I were, I wouldnt plead for the dead midget! Gulliver has also been to the "flying island country", which floats in the air by a large magnet. People on the island are always afraid. What are you afraid of?The earth should be destroyed for various reasons. They are afraid of collision with the earth, rupture of the ozone layer, depletion of the suns energy, expansion of the sun, and swallowing up the earth I think that even if its the end of the world, theres no way for you to avoid it. Since theres no way to avoid it, its better to live happily. Dont think about those things. Thinking about them is consuming your brain cells! And the last island he came to was only horse. The horse here was more spiritual, had its own language, and lived in peace without war. Its very different from the villain in front. This makes the author envious. Its just as good to pretend to be in our world. Unfortunately, it is impossible Gulliver, the doctor, impressed me deeply. His fantastic experience has inspired us a lot and made us understand many things we didnt understand. This book is of great value to watch.格列佛游记英文读后感 6 “Gullivers Travels,” the author of Swift was born in Dublin, Ireland, his father was a British settlement in Ireland. He is a posthumous child, accomplished by an Englishwriter Jonathan Swift in 1726, and later on adapted for a film by Charles Sturridge and a cartoon by Peter R.Hunt, Gulliver’s Travels is such a famous satirical novel that influences both adults and children. The Gulliver’s Travels, wrote by the year 1726, exposing the darkness of the society at that time. The leading character—Gulliver, who travels to the imaginary lands of Lilliput, Brobdingnag, Laputa and the country of the Houyhnhnms, had experienced much during the expedition. The last voyage is to the country of Houyhnhnms, which is controlled by horses.Gulliver felt happy with these sensible, gentle creatures, which never lied or stole, in a country which had no disease, no crime, and no wars. In a word, don’t be a Yahoo!格列佛游记英文读后感8 My Opinions on Gulliver’s Travels Jonathan Swift Recently I read a novel called “Gulliver’s Travels’.As far as I am concerned, it is a very fantastic book and it gives people an adventurous feeling to read the novel. Before I read the novel, I reallydidn’t know anything about the author of this novel. But after I have read the novel, I learned that the author of this novel is Jonathan Swift, who was born in 1667.According to what I learned from the book,I know the novel through spicy Satires and Humors, quirky imagination and exaggeration, describes the passion for Gulliver’s sailing adventure. In my opinion, there is a certain connection between the background of the novel and the social conditions.Take this novel ,for example, the background of the novel is based on the social reality in England of that time.If I have the chance, I would like to be a man like Gulliver, because I am greatly inspired by his courage.Gulliver is the person, who travels several lands.Today I will share one of his voyages with you.The voyage is to Lilliput.People of the lands of Lilliput are very small, it seems like the ant to us, and so Gulliver in the place is very big.The local people regard him as a monster. From the chapter of the novel, we can learn that people of Lilliput are of great kindness in giving Gulliver food and drink. While he was eating, they had prepared a platform to carry him to the capital city.Five hundred men built a special wooden platform with twenty-two wheels.Nine hundred of the strongest men worked for about three hours to lift him on to the platform. But he has experienced much, not only happy things but also unhappy things. As a reader of this novel, I can imagine how exciting the voyage was through the words written by the author. At last ,I hope I could have the chance to travel the world like Gulliver.I eagerly want to live in a magic land ,I think it must be exciting. In fact ,I more hope our classmates can help and understand each other like characters of the novel. And make our class more harmony ,make us more happy.Thank you!。

《格列佛游记》英文读后感

《格列佛游记》英文读后感Gulliver's Travels, written by Jonathan Swift, is a socio-political satire that explores the flaws of human nature and the societal structures it breeds. The novel is composed of four voyages, each building on top of the last, revealing Swift's commentary on the nature of politics, religion, science, and humanity as a whole. As I progressed through the novel, I found myself simultaneously enamored and horrified by the imaginative creatures and societies that Swift brings to life. While the lands of Lilliput and Brobdingnag appear to be fantastical, they contain many of the same issues that plague our world today. The court politics of Lilliputian society are fraught with greed and corruption, leading to violence and conspiracy. Meanwhile, the scientifically advanced Brobdingnagians embody the suffocating nature of their own society by being brutally honest with every individual, seeming almost incapable of empathy. As Gulliver travels further, he encounters even more bizarre and extreme societies. Laputa is a civilization entirely dependent upon mathematics and science, where individuals are so consumed with their own pursuits that they forget about the needs of others. The people of Lagado devote their lives to nonsensical research and development, resulting in ridiculous, impractical inventions. And finally, the Yahoos, in their savage and grotesque state, serve as a disturbing reflection of humanity's most primal instincts. Throughout the novel, Swift employs various literary devices to comment on the flaws of human nature and criticize the societal structures that promote them. For example, the use of satirehighlights absurdities in society and individuals, inviting readers to reflect on their own behaviors and values. Swift also employs irony and hyperbole, exaggerating or stating the opposite of what is meant to highlight the absurdity of a situation.Overall, Gulliver's Travels is an engaging and thought-provoking novel that invites readers to analyze their own societies and the structures within them. Swift's imaginative creations, paired with his sharp insight and critique of humanity's flaws, make this novel a literary masterpiece that is just as relevant today as it was when it was first written.。
