The island was said to be cursed, as no one who had embarked on a journey to find the treasure had ever returned. Yet, this did not deter adventurers and treasure hunters from setting sail in search of the fabled Blackbeard’s treasure.Chapter 2: The VoyageOne sunny morning, a brave and deter mined young pirate named Jack set sail towards Blackbeard’s Treasure Island. He had heard tales of the island's treacherous waters, haunted woods, and deadly traps, but Jack was undeterred. He had studied maps and gathered every bit of information about the island, determined to unravel its secrets.Chapter 3: The ArrivalAfter days of battling rough seas, Jack’s ship arrived at the shores of Blackbeard’s Treasure Island. The legends seemed to come alive as strange noises echoed through the thick fog that covered the island.Chapter 4: The DiscoveryUndeterred by the haunting atmosphere, Jack and his crew ventured into the depths of the island. Armed with torches, they explored the ancient ruins and decaying pirate ships that littered the landscape. Days turned into weeks as they searched for clues that would lead them closer to the hidden treasure.Chapter 5: The ObstaclesBlackbeard’s Treasure Island was not easily conquered. Jack’s crew encountered dangerous creatures, deadly traps, and treacherous terrain. But their determination pushed them forward. They navigated through dense jungles, crossed raging rivers, and climbed towering mountains, all in pursuit of the legendary treasure.Chapter 6: The Final TestAfter months of tireless searching, Jack and his crew stumbled upon a massive cave hidden beneath a waterfall. Inside, they found an ancient chamber adorned with intricate carvings and booby traps. It was clear that reaching the treasure would not be easy. Overcoming each trap required intelligence, bravery, and teamwork.Chapter 7: The TreasureFinally, after passing through the treacherous chamber, Jack and his crew arrived in a hidden underground cavern. Their eyes widened in awe as they laid eyes on the immense treasure that gleamed beneath the flickering torchlight. Gold, silver, and jewels filled the room. Blackbea rd’s long-lost treasure had been found.Chapter 8: The CurseAs Jack and his crew loaded the treasure onto their ship, a sudden storm brewed overhead. Thunder roared, and lightning cracked across the darkened sky. The whispers of a ancient curse grew louder as they hastily sailed away from the cursed island. The storm raged on until they were safely back on the open seas.Chapter 9: The LegacyWith Blackbeard’s treasure safely in their possession, Jack and his crew returned to their homeland as heroes. They shared the bounty with their fellow pirates, and the legend of Blackbeard’s Treasure Island lived on. However, the memories of the cursed island and the lingering whispers of the curse would forever haunt their dreams.Chapter 10: The EndBlackbeard’s Treasure Island remained a tale of mystery and adventure, passed down through generations. Its influence is enormous on popular perceptions of pirates, including such elements as treasure maps marked with an "X", schooners, the Black Spot, tropical islands, and one-legged seamenbearing parrots on their shoulders.[1]Treasure Island is traditionally considered a coming-of-age story and is noted for its atmosphere, characters, and action. It is one of the most frequently dramatized of all novels. It was originally serialized in the children's magazine Young Folks between 1881 through 1882 under the title Treasure Island, or the mutiny of the Hispaniola, credited to the pseudonym "Captain George North". It was first published as a book on 14 November 1883, by Cassell & Co.PART I—"THE OLD BUCCANEER"An old sailor, calling himself "the captain"—real name "Billy" Bones—comes to lodge at the Admiral Benbow Inn on the west English coast during the mid-1700s, paying Bob the innkeeper's son, Jim Hawkins, a few pennies to keep a lookout for a one-legged "seafaring man". A seaman with intact legs shows up, frightening Billy—who drinks far too much rum—into a stroke, and Billy tells Jim that his former shipmates covet the contents of his sea chest. After a visit from yet another man, Billy has another stroke and dies; Jim and his mother (his father has also died just a few days before) unlock the sea chest, finding some money, a journal, and a map. The local physician, Dr. Livesey, deduces that the map is of an island where a deceased pirate—Captain Flint—buried a vast treasure. The district squire, Trelawney, proposes buying a ship and going after the treasure, taking Livesey as ship's doctor and Jim as cabin boy.PART II—"THE SEA COOK"Several weeks later, Trelawney sends for Jim and Livesey and introduces them to "Long John" Silver, a one-legged Bristoltavern-keeper whom he has hired as ship's cook. (Silver enhances his outre attributes—crutch, pirate argot, etc.—with a talking parrot.) They also meet Captain Smollett, who tells them that he dislikes most of the crew on the voyage, which it seems everyone in Bristol knows is a search for treasure. After taking a few precautions, however, they set sail on Trelawney's schooner, the Hispaniola, for thedistant island. During the voyage, the first mate, a drunkard, disappears overboard. And just before the island is sighted, Jim—concealed in an apple barrel—overhears Silver talking with two other crewmen. They are all former "gentlemen o'fortune" (pirates) in Flint's crew and have planned a mutiny. Jim alerts the captain, doctor, and squire, and they calculate that they will be seven to 19 against the mutineers and must pretend not to suspect anything until the treasure is found when they can surprise their adversaries.PART III—"MY SHORE ADVENTURE"But after the ship is anchored, Silver and some of the others go ashore, and two men who refuse to join the mutiny are killed—one with so loud a scream that everyone realizes there can be no more pretense. Jim has impulsively joined the shore party and covertly witnessed Silver committing one of the murders; now, in fleeing, he encounters ahalf-crazed Englishman, Ben Gunn, who tells him he was marooned here and can help against the mutineers in return for passage home and part of the treasure.PART IV—"THE STOCKADE"Meanwhile, Smollett, Trelawney, and Livesey, along with Trelawney's three servants and one of the other hands, Abraham Gray, abandon the ship and come ashore to occupy an old abandoned stockade. The men still on the ship, led by the coxswain Israel Hands, run up the pirate flag. One of Trelawney's servants and one of the pirates are killed in the fight to reach the stockade, and the ship's gun keeps up a barrage upon them, to no effect, until dark when Jim finds the stockade and joins them. The next morning, Silver appears under a flag of truce, offering terms that the captain refuses, and revealing that another pirate has been killed in the night (by Gunn, Jim realizes, although Silver does not). At Smollett's refusal to surrender the map, Silver threatens an attack, and, within a short while, the attack on the stockade is launched.PART V—"MY SEA ADVENTURE"After a battle, the surviving mutineers retreat, having lost six men, but two more of the captain's group have been killed and Smollett himself is badly wounded. When Livesey leaves in search of Gunn, Jim runs away without permission and finds Gunn's homemade coracle. After dark, he goes out and cuts the ship adrift. The two pirates on board, Hands and O'Brien, interrupt their drunken quarrel to run on deck, but the ship—with Jim's boat in her wake—is swept out to sea on the ebb tide. Exhausted, Jim falls asleep in the boat and wakens the next morning, bobbing along on the west coast of the island, carried by a northerly current. Eventually, he encounters the ship, which seems deserted, but getting on board, he finds O'Brien dead and Hands badly wounded. He and Hands agree that they will beach the ship at an inlet on the northern coast of the island. As the ship is finally beached, Hands attempts to kill Jim but is himself killed in the attempt. Then, after securing the ship as well as he can, Jim goes back ashore and heads for the stockade. Once there, in utter darkness, he enters the blockhouse—to be greeted bySilver and the remaining five mutineers, who have somehow taken over the stockade in his absence.PART VI—"CAPTAIN SILVER"Silver and the others argue about whether to kill Jim, and Silver talks them down. He tells Jim that, when everyone found the ship was gone, the captain's party agreed to a treaty whereby they gave up the stockade and the map. In the morning, the doctor arrives to treat the wounded and sick pirates and tells Silver to look out for trouble when they find the site of the treasure. After he leaves, Silver and the others set out with the map, taking Jim along as hostage. They encounter a skeleton, arms apparently oriented toward the treasure, which seriously unnerves the party. Eventually, they find the treasure cache—empty. Two of the pirates charge at Silver and Jim but are shot down by Livesey, Gray, and Gunn, from ambush. The other three run away, and Livesey explains that Gunn has long ago found the treasure and taken it to his cave.In the next few days, they load the treasure onto the ship, abandon the three remaining mutineers (with supplies and ammunition) and sail away. At their first port in Spanish America, where they will sign on more crew, Silver steals a bag of money and escapes. The rest sail back to Bristol and divide up the treasure. Jim says there is more left on the island, but he for one will not undertake another voyage to recover it.《爱丽丝奇境历险记》讲述了小姑娘爱丽丝追赶一只揣着怀表、会说话的白兔,掉进了一个兔子洞,由此坠入了神奇的地下世界。

What’s happening? While Jim was on the island the others decided what to do.Trelawney: Why don’t we take over the ship? We can sail away and leaveSilver and his men on the island.Smollett: We can’t leave Jim Hawkins behind. He’s on the island with Silver. In any case the ship isn’t safe. There are six of Silver’s men on board.Doctor Livesey had an idea.Livesey: Let's abandon the ship. Look at the map. If we can arrive at this stockade, we can defend ourselves there.Smollett: We’ll take guns and food from the ship. We can use the other boat. Trelawney: Redruth, take this gun and keep an eye on those men.The put guns and food into the boat.Smollett: I’ll throw the extra guns in the sea.Captain Smollett called the other sailors.Smollett: Who wants to come with us? It’s Silver and his men!Smollett: We must run!The mutineers attacked.Merry: Hurrah! Come on, lads! They arrived at the stockade.Smollett: Hurry up! Into the stockade!Inside they were safe. Doctor Livesey examined Redruth. Trelawney: How is he?Livesey: It’s bad. A bullet hit him in the back.Captain Smollett had the flag from the Hispaniola.Smollett: Let’s put up the flag. We’ll teach those mutineers a lesson.A few minutes later Jim arrived.Jim: Doctor Livesey, are you all right?Livesey: Jim! Thank God you’re safe!Chapter Eight: Silver Makes an OfferJim told the others his story.Trelawney: This Ben Gunn is a strange creature.Jim: He was all alone for three years. He’s a bit crazy but he knows the island very well.Livesey: Why doesn’t he come into the stockade?Jim: He’s afraid. He wants you to go and meet him.Suddenly Gray came out.Gray: Bad news, Captain. Redruth is dead.Redruth was buried in the stockade.Trelawney: Poor Redruth. He was a good man.Captain Smollett prepared to defend the Stockade.Smollett: Hunter, you take the window. Jim, watch the door. If you see anybody in the trees, shoot. Our only hope is to stay here and defend the stockade. They have the ship. Perhaps they will decide to sail away. Livesey: Listen to them singing. They’re all drunk with rum! In a week they will all be sick with malaria. I’ve got the medicine box here.Smollett: Look! There’s one of them with a white flag. He wants to talk. Livesey: It's Long John Silver!Captain Smollett was suspicious.Smollett: Perhaps it’s a trick…who’s there?Silver: Captain Silver, sir.Smollett: Captain Silver! Who’s he?Silver: It’s me, sir. These poor lads made me their captain—after you deserted us. Can I come in to talk?Smollett: I don’t want to talk to you. But you can come if you havesomething to say.Silver came into the stockade.Silver: Hello, Jim. Good morning, Captain. Can’t we go inside?Smollett: No, you can sit there.Smollett: Well, what have you got to say?Silver: We want that treasure, Captain. But you have the map. Give us the map and we promise to leave you alone.Smollett: I see. Now you listen to me. Mr. Silver. You come here, one by one, and give me your guns. And I promise to take you back to England and put you all in prison. That’s my last word.Silver: What!Smollett: You’re finished, Silver. You can’t find the treasure and you can’t sail the ship. Now go away!Silver: Help me to stand up! ...Will nobody help me?Smollett: No.Silver: By God, yo u’ll be sorry! I’ll be back here in one hour and I’ll smash your old house like a bottle!Chapter Nine: The AttackThey prepared for the attack.Smollett: Doctor, you stand at the door. Hunter, take the window on this side. An hour passed.Trelawney: Why don’t they come? I don’t like this waiting.Suddenly Joyce fired.Livesey: Did you hit him?Joyce: I don’t think so, sir.The attack started.Livesey: Give me another gun—quick! The mutineers entered the stockade.Silver: Come on, lads!Israel: Let’s get them!Captain Smollett and his men were trapped.Trelawney: They’re coming from all directions!Silver: Outside, lads! Use your swords! The battle continued outside.Livesey: They’re going!Trelawney: They’re running away! The battle was over. But there was bad news.Lovesey: Hunter and Joyce are dead.Jim: And Captain Smollett is wounded.Smollett: I’m all right. How many of them did we get?Livesey: Four or five, I think.Doctor Livesey had a plan.want to find Ben Gunn. Livesey: Captain Smollett, I’ve got an idea. IGray and Jim were outside.Gray: One thing is certain, Jim. Those pirates are not coming back today. Look! Where is the doctor going?Jim: I don’t know.Jim: It’s very quiet here. I’m going to see what Silver and his men are doing. Gray: Be careful.Jim ran through the woods to the sea.Jim: There they are—on the beach. And there’s the Hispaniola. He saw something under a tree.Jim: What’s this—a little boat? Perhaps Ben Gunn uses it for fishing.Jim: If I cut the Hispaniola’s ropes, they can’t use the ship. But I must wait until it’s dark.Jim waited until the evening.Jim: This little boat is terrible! I can’t control it.He heard angry voices from the ship."Don’t come near me!""Put that knife down, you fool!"He found the ship’s rope.Jim: Now, if I can cut this rope…There! Oh no! The boat’s going down!Chapter Ten: Israel HandsJim slept on the deck of the ship. He woke up the next morning.Jim: We’re at sea! And there’s nobody on the ship! Then he saw two bodies.Jim: That’s Israel Hands. And O’Brien…dead. What am I going to do now? How can I sail the ship?He went inside the ship.Jim: What a disaster! They drank every bottle!Jim went back to the deck.Jim: So you’re not dead, Israel.Israel: Brandy…Give me brandy! By God, I needed that!Jim took down the pirates’ flag.Jim: I’m in command of this ship now—remember that.Israel: Aye aye, Captain Hawkins. But who is going to sail her? You help me. Give me food and drink and a bandage for my leg. And I’ll teach you how to sail.Hands told Jim what to do. Soon they were on the north coast of the island. Israel: Do you see that river? You can sail the ship in there. Well done, Captain Hawkins. We’re nearly there.Jim saw Hands behind him. He suddenly turned the wheel. They fell onto the deck.Israel: Aah, the ship’s turning!Jim ran to the mast but Hands followed him,Israel: Now I’ve got you, my boy!He climbed up the mast. Hands was just behind him.Israel: I’m coming for you, Jim.Jim stopped and took out his pistol,Jim: Don’t move, Mr. Hands, or you’re a dead man.Israel: All right, Jim. You’ve got me.But suddenly Hands threw the knife. The knife hit Jim and his pistol fired. Hands fell into the sea.Israel: Aaah!Chapter Eleven: Silver’s PrisonerJim climbed down.Jim: Well, that’s the end of the Israel Hands. He pushed O’Brien’s body off the ship.Jim: You can join your friend in the sea. Then he left the Hispaniola.Jim: Silver will never find the ship here. Now I can go back to the stockade. He began to walk across the island.Jim: It’s getting dark. I must hurry.Jim: There’s the stockade. It’s strange that there’s no guard.Jim went inside.Jim: They’re all sleeping…Doctor! Doctor Livesey!Parrot: Squawk! Pieces of eight! Pieces of eight!Merry: Who’s that?Silver: It’s our young friend Jim Hawkins.Jim: Long John!Silver looked at Jim.Silver: Well, well—Jim Hawkins. It’s nice of you to come and visit us. Jim: Where are my friends—Doctor Livesey and the others?Silver: I don’t know. The doctor came to see me with a white flag. He said, "You let us go away and you can take the stockade." I like you, Jim. You’re a good lad. Forget your friends. You can join us.Jim: No, Silver. I’m not a pirate. And I’m not afraid of you.George Merry pulled out a knife.Merry: Let’s kill him now, Long John!Silver: No, you dogs! I’m the captain here and you do what I say.Merry: We decide who the captain is, Silver. And we want to talk about it now—outside. They went outside.Silver: They’re fools! I’ll never find the treasure with them. Believe me, Jim.I want to cooperate with you and Captain Smollett. I’m your friend. I help you and you help me, all right?Jim: All right.Chapter Twelve: The Black Spot AgainJim looked out of the window.Jim: They’re coming back.Merry and the other came in.Merry: We’ve got something for you, Silver.Silver looked at the piece of paper.Silver; Ha! The black spot! So you want a new captain?Merry: Yes. We wanted to kill Captain Smollett and the others. But you let them go."And now this boy!"Silver: The boy is a hostage. Can’t you see? We can use him. Yes, I let Smollett and the others go free. But do you know why? Look what they gave me!Silver showed them the map of Treasure Island."He’s got the map of the treasure!"Merry: The map! We’re rich!Silver: Now do you want a new captain?Merry: No! You’re our captain, Long John.Jim was shocked.Jim: Did they really give you the map?Silver: Yes, Jim. But don’t ask me why.The next morning a visitor arrived.Merry: It’s the doctor!Silver: He promised to bring some medicine.Doctor Livesey came into the stockade.Silver: Good morning, Doctor. We’ve got a surprise for you.Livesey: Jim! Here is your medicine. But now I want to talk to the boy. Merry: No!Silver: All right. You can talk. But I’ll keep an eye on you.Merry: Silver, you’re too soft with that boy. If he escapes…Silver: He won’t escape! They walked to the wall.Silver: Remember, Doctor. I saved the boy’s life. He can tell you.Jim: It’s true.Silver: If we get back to England, will you say a good word for me? I don’t want to die in prison.Livesey: All right, Silver. I will do what I can. And now, are you going to look for the treasure?Silver: Yes.Livesey: I warn you—be careful when you find it. Jim, stay next to Silver. Livesey: Goodbye. And good luck!Chapter Thirteen: The Last BattleJim was worried.Jim: Can I really believe Silver? I know he wanted to kill us. And why did they give him the map?The treasure hunt began.Silver: Now, lads. Let’s go and find this treasure.Silver put a rope around Jim.Silver: We don’t want our friend Jim to run away. They took the boat to the south-east coast of the island."Look! There’s the tall tree on the map."Silver opened the map.Silver: This is the way."What’s that? Up there on the hill?Merry: My God! It’s a skeleton!Silver: Six men helped Flint to bury his treasure. He killed them all. Merry: Look at the map! The skeleton is pointing to the treasure. That devil Flint left him here to show the way.The pirates were afraid."Think of Flint and his six dead men.""It makes my blood go cold.""Fifteen men on the dead man’s chest Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum!" "Listen! What’s that? ""It’s Flint, by God!""Let’s run!"Silver: Flint is dead, you fools! But I think I know that voice…-it’s Ben Gunn!Merry: Ben Gunn! Ha ha! I’m not afraid of him.Silver pulled Jim by the rope.Silver: Hurry up! We’re nearly there.Jim looked at the expression on his face.Jim: Silver doesn’t want to help us. He just wants the treasure! They saw something in the trees.Silver: Look, over there! Come on!Merry: There’s nothing here!Silver: The treasure’s gone.Merry and the others were furious.Merry: Look! One piece of gold!Silver gave Jim a pistol.Silver: Take this, Jim.Jim: Thank you. So you want to change sides again!Merry: Here is your treasure, Silver, you old fool! One piece of gold! Silver: Ah, George. You want to be captain again.Merry: You’re finished. You and that boy.Suddenly there were three shots from the trees. Two of the pirates fell. Silver fired at Merry.Silver: Goodbye, George I think you’re finished.Doctor Livesey, Ben Gunn and Gray came out of the trees.Gray: Quick! Three of them are running away.Ben Gunn: Let them go. What can they do now?Chapter Fourteen: The EndSilver looked at Doctor Livesey.Silver; Thank you, Doctor. You arrived just in time.Livesey: We came here for Jim—not you.Silver: And who is that? Ben Gunn?Ben Gunn: Yes, I’m Ben Gunn, I am. Do you remember me, Silver? Silver: Yes, I remember you. Did you take the treasure?Ben Gunn: Hee, hee. Three years on this island. I know every little stone. I found the treasure and I moved it to my cave.Livesey: That’s why I gave you the map, Silver. I knew there was nothing there.Silver: Ha! I was a fool!Jim: Where are Captain Smollett and Mr. Trelawney?Livesey: They’re in Ben Gunn’s cave. It’s near North Bay. We can go there in the boat. They took the boat to the north of the island.Jim: Let’s find the Hispaniola. I left her in North Bay.They saw the ship near the coast.Jim; Look! There she is!They went on board.Livesey: We can sail to the cave in the Hispaniola. They arrived at Ben Gunn’s cave. Silver saw Mr. Trelawney.Silver: Good evening, sir.Trelawney: Ah, John Silver. Perhaps we can save you from hanging in London. But you are a monstrous villain.Jim went inside the cave.Jim: Captain Smollett, how are you?Smollett: I’m fine, Jim.Jim: What’s that?Smollett: That is Flint’s treasure. Seventeen men are dead because of it. The next day they started to carry the treasure onto the ship.Livesey: It will take days to move all this. What about the other threes mutineers?Smollett: We must leave them here on the island. We can’t risk taking them. After three days the Hispaniola sailed away from Treasure Island. Livesey: Are you sorry to leave, Jim?Jim: No, I never want to come back.Silver was a little worried.Silver: Where are we going, Doctor?Livesey: To a port in South America.
