当《呼啸山庄》刚刚问世，当时的评论界甚至把它定格为“一部骇人听闻，荒谬绝伦，毫无意义的作品”，然而现在《呼啸山庄》逐渐成为二十一世纪的一部宠书。在国内，很多学者对《呼啸山庄》也进行过深入的研究。有的学者从作品的社会背景和故事结构上分析它的思想主题，也有的学者对作品中体现出来的维多利亚时代女性对婚姻爱情的自我追求进行研究，有的学者对作品所运用的哥特式艺术手法进行分析。但是大多数学者还是将主要精力放在了《呼啸山庄》中男女主人公的心理、性格、形象分析上。通过对男主人公希思克利夫疯狂的复仇计划进行研究，分析其复仇根源，探询他的悲剧人生。在国内有很多研究《呼啸山庄》的作品，如葛志宏的作品《论呼啸山庄中的现代主义因素》，袁翠珍的作品《一个扭曲的灵魂——简评〈呼啸山庄〉的主人公希思克利夫》，黄晓燕的《仇恨与爱情》等。但是对小说中的主人公希思克利夫的评价可谓众说纷纭，尽管也有少数评论对他的行为表示理解与同情，认为他的复仇是人受到不公正待遇后的正常反应，但多数评论家都对他横加指责，认为他的复仇毫无人性可言。关于《呼啸山庄》的研究还有很多，人们对它的研究将会络绎不绝。

首先，我在校图书馆的知网查阅了有关于呼啸山庄大量的电子文献，从而了解了许多前人的理论观点及看法。随后，在老师的帮助下确定主题之后，我会把章节中的一些因素进行定量对比来分析我的文章主题，同时我会参考一些相关的研究资料，综合考量，并进行一定的总结，从而得出自己的看法。

主要内容：本论文将从社会环境、两位男主角对女主角的影响以及女主角自身的矛盾性格三个方面来分析造成女主矛盾选择的原因。首先，本文将从大的社会环境即男尊女卑的时代背景以及小环境呼啸山庄以及画眉田庄两个环境因素来分析其对凯瑟琳的行为的影响并把两个环境进行适当的对比。随后，本文将论述两个男主角希斯科里夫和林敦对凯瑟琳选择的影响，并从两人的社会地位及性格方面进行分析。然后，我将从女主角自身的矛盾性格及性格缺陷的角度来分析她矛盾选择的原因，对于她的矛盾性格我将从她在自己最爱的人与丈夫面前所表现的不同性格的对比来表现。最后，我将从以上所说的三个方面来综合分析其矛盾选择的原因以及看法。

It provides us a new study method to analysis Wuthering Heights.Therefore, analyzing Wuthering Heights from the perspective of pragmatics is meaningful.So far, scholars abroad and at home study this novel mainly from the perspective of feminism and narratology, stylistics and realism theories.
