Lesson29 《Our Ambitions and Dreams》是第五单元的第五篇阅读课文。
第五单元主要围绕Future这一话题展开讨论未来想要从事的职业，29可也不例外。
因此经过前四课的学习学生们已经掌握了一定的讨论话题和句子结构，开展29比较容易，因此一开始我就借用课后练习题第二题的图片让他们讨论一下图片上的人从事的什么职业？从而引出部分新单词如：policewoman ,fisherman ,artist, and basketball player .同时给他们2分钟时间用下列句型两人一组编一个对话.---What do you do ?What are you ?What does your job? I’m a /an …..其次，在带领同学们完成课后练习题第三题。
当然第三题里同样是基于新单词的。
我采用先学新单词，再读对话，然后完成对话的方式，达到进行新单词学习和巩固的目的，同时又能通过此题训练进一步对理解课文起到帮助作用，因为此题是根据课文内容编写的一个对话。
这可谓是“一箭双雕”。
最后一环节我让学生带着课后第一题的问题阅读课文，学生一遍就能准确的找到答案，本节课各个环节进展非常顺利，因此结余的时间我留给学生让学生充分阅读课文认真体会英语语言的魅力，效果显著。

四、教学过程设计
（一）导入新课
为了快速吸引学生的注意力和兴趣，我将采用以下方式导入新课：
1.设疑激趣：展示一张宇宙星空的图片，并提出问题：“What do you see in the picture? Do you have any dreams about the universe?”引导学生思考并表达自己的梦想。
（二）学习障碍
学生在学习本节课之前，已经掌握了一定的英语基础知识，如一般现在时、一般过去时等时态，以及一些简单的词汇和句型。但可能存在以下学习障碍：
1.对一般将来时态的理解和运用不够熟练，容易与一般现在时、一般过去时混淆。
2.在表达自己的梦想和目标时，可能缺乏自信，导致表达不流畅。
3.部分学生对英语学习缺乏兴趣，学习积极性不高。
本节课的主要知识点包括：
1.词汇：ambition（雄心）、dream（梦想）、goal（目标）、achieve（实现）、pursue（追求）等。
2.语法：一般将来时态，包括will+动词原形、be going to+动词原形、现在进行时表示将来等。
3.句型：表达自己的理想、梦想和目标的句型，如"My ambition is to be a teacher."、"I have a dream of traveling around the world."等。
（一）学生特点
本节课面向的是八年级学生，这个年龄段的学生正处于青春期，精力充沛，好奇心强，有较强的自我意识。他们的认知水平逐渐从具体思维向抽象思维转变，具备一定的自主学习能力。在学习兴趣方面，他们对新鲜事物充满好奇，尤其对与生活密切相关的主题感兴趣。在学习习惯上，学生已经形成了一定的学习规律，但还需教师引导和督促，以养成良好的学习习惯。
