A mother who has not 57 the words for years can teach her daughter the poem that begins “ Twinkle, twinkle, little star” or recite the story of Cinderella or Snow White. One explanation is the law of over learning, which can be stated as following: 58 we have learned something, additional learning increases the 59 of time we will remember it.In childhood, we usually continue to practise such skills as swimming, bicycle riding long after we have learned them. We continue to listen to and 60 ourselves of poems such as “Twinkle, twinkle, little star” and childhood tales such as Cinderella or Snow White. We no only learn but 61 .The law of over learning explains why cramming (突击学习) for an examination, 62 it may result in a passing grade, is not a 63 way to learn a school course.

D选项Take your time译为“不急”“慢慢来”符合上文语境。

连词有:when,while,if though,after, before, as.

While waiting there, he saw two pretty girls come out of thebuilding.

This is the mountain village where I stayed last year.

I'll never forget the days when I worked together with you.

Ⅰ。

Supply the missing paragraph (20 points) The following passage is incomplete with the ending paragraph missing. Study the passage carefully and write the missing paragraph in about 100 words. Make sure that your tone and diction are in unity with the passage provided. Too Many Moves My first semester of college was the worst I‘ve been through. Everything started out smoothly enough. I had made plans during the summer to share an apartment with two of my close friends from high school. We had found a nice enough apartment about two miles from campus, but before we even moved in, problems started developing that kept me on the move the entire semester. One of the two girls I was to share an apartment with was going to work instead of going to college. However, a week before we were to move in , she found out that she didn‘t get the job she had been counting on. She was forced to live at home and look for work, and two of us were stuck with higher monthly rent payments. We lasted for a month and then agreed that we couldn’t make it by ourselves. Joan moved away and I started looking around. I found another apartment and the rent wasn‘t bad. The room was small with one tiny bathroom for four people. The place was noisy, but it was the best I could afford for the time. However, one day when I returned from school, I saw smoke coming from the back of the house. The cottage had caught fire, and the fire department was putting out the last flames. My room was a charred mess; there was no way that anyone could live there for a long time. I was once more out of a place to stay, and there was still over a month of school left. After looking around all weekend for lodging, I finally gave up and moved home. I had to drive forty miles to school every day, so I almost spent as much on gas as I would have on lodging . I‘d drive to school, go to classes, and come home and sit in an empty house for a few hours. I was very bored; I’d also lost the will to study. It had been such a bad semester moving all over the place that my heart wasn‘t in school anymore. So the semester just played itself out. Ⅱ。

31. By “Ellen Spero isn't biting her 31. 作者说“Ellen Spero isn’t biting hernails just yet” (Line 1, Paragraph nails just yet”意思是__ _ 。

1), the author means __ _.[A] Spero can hardly maintain her business.

[B] Spero is too much engaged in her work. [B]

[C] Spero has grown out of her bad habit. [C]

[D] Spero is not in a desperate situation. [D]

1. specific heat2. hot sand3. more energy to make temperature rise第一个talk讲的是橡树得了disease,是fungus引起的,阻断了树的水循环,使细胞脱水而死,fungus是由某个carrier传播的,现在他们砍树但是不能解决问题,打算通过抑制传播来处理。

1. problem of elm tree2. circulation of water3. infuse fungus into ...4. control carrier第二个talk讲的是美国的naiveart,因为没有受到过系统的教育,所以那些artist尊重事实,然后到处给美国人画像,画的很逼真,但是因为他们都不sign自己的name,所以不好研究。

是问主题charicteristics of naive artists2.

1. 问主题transportation improvement and city2. 问大城市人为什么上班有困难,应该是they can nolonger walk to work.3.

12.the first drama------------to be produced ? DA:the first drama....B:the african womans drama...C:whose drama....D:the first dram by african woman...15.……is ____ the role of ……,选项里面有becauseunderstanding,to have understanding,understandingthat,还有一个不记得了,我选的第三个,感觉很不确定。

我觉得to have understanding 和understanding这两个选项不对,最后选了the understanding that因为后面我看到了melts觉得是个从句。

16.(By) 1810 the 23 towns of *** (had reached ) aremarkable (uniform) of economic develpment (as wellas) population density.uniform由其名词意义来讲,此处估计有些问题(adj. 使成一样, 使穿制服)>>>>>>>>既然是经济发展和人口问题的均衡,我觉得似乎应该把aswell as 改为andAmong the (most complex) crystals are (that) ofsilicon dioxide, which has seven (different)structures at various temperatures, the most (commonbeing) quartz.

The weatherbeing sunny, we plan to go camping.的陷阱,which has seven.......

Artists beganto (working) out doors making the landscape ratherthan the (studio) their arena.

studion.(n.画室,照相室, 工作室,)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> begin to doing这种用法我不能确定,开始选它,后来还是改成选studio了,这地方我觉得应该是一个和making并列的动词make +n1+n2 n1=the landscape rather than thestudio n2=their arena顺便说一句,题够BTmake the land.. their arena. make ss ss这个结构。

for example, his hard work makes him the best one inhis class35.drew steadily...into volley and...Bristish...

Although (have there).............,......, nonetypifies.............than (she.)

Tryhard as he will, he never seems able to do the worksatisfactorily.
