教师充当Mrs Read,并事先找一个女学生充当 Kate,然后进行角色表演,教师先说:"Hello!"学生说:"Hello!May I speak to Mary?"直到整个对话表演完。
表演两遍后放录音,先将全段放一遍,然后逐句放,让学生逐句跟说并译成中文。
