1．通过电视节目图片来复习第一课时的词语：wonderful, cool, fantastic, cartoons, news shows, nature shows等。
2．师生口语交流：

3．课件展示复习星期几的单词：Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
1．师：打开课本第58页, Look at the pictures. What TV shows do you see? 请同学就这个问题进行回答。
2．听录音，学生跟读句子。
听前先提问：What are they talking about？
3．学生回答问题：They are talking about favourite TV shows.
4．教师讲解重点句型：
（1）When do you usually watch sports shows?你通常什么时候看体育节目？
（2）I usually watch sports shows on Saturday evening.我通常在星期六晚上看体育节目。
在星期几的上午下午或晚上要用到介词on.
（3）Are they interesting它们有趣吗？这是一个一般疑问句，它的回答有两种：
肯定回答：Yes, they are. 否定回答：No, they aren’t.
（4）I like watching skating and swimming on sports shows.我喜欢看体育节目中的滑冰和游泳。
like+动词ing喜欢做某事。

第一部分Let’s learn，其设计目的是用图文结合的方式，给学生们具体、形象地展示出本单元的五个关于日常物体的单词及短语，分别是：clock/plant/photo/water bottle和bike，这几个词和短语要求学生们会听、会说、会读、会写。
我们可以看到，图片里在钟表、照片、植物、水瓶和自行车这五个物体旁边都对应给出了它们的英文单词，形象直观地告诉了学生每个单词的含义，图文结合的方式更有利于学生对单词的理解和记忆，而且图片对于孩子们更有吸引力，让孩子们不会觉得特别枯燥乏味。
本课时继续采用学生们在上节课中已经熟悉的张鹏的卧室图片，学生在看到这一图片时会感到比较亲切。
学习完这几个单词之后，学生应进一步对这些单词进行实际应用，具体来说，就是用There is…句型对这些物体进行简单地描述。
