朗诵是我最大的兴趣爱好英语作文Reciting Is My Greatest Interest and HobbyHi there! My name is Sam and I'm in the 5th grade. I absolutely love reciting poems, speeches, and all sorts of texts out loud. Reciting is my greatest interest and hobby!It all started when I was really little. My parents used to read me bedtime stories every night before I went to sleep. I just loved hearing the wonderful words and imagining the stories come to life. Sometimes I would try to recite parts of the stories back to my mom and dad from memory. They thought it was so cute!When I started elementary school, we had to memorize and recite poems and speeches for our English and Language Arts classes. At first, I found it really difficult to memorize all those words. But then I started practicing a lot at home in front of a mirror. I would go over the poems and speeches again and again until I had them perfectly memorized. Pretty soon, I was one of the best kids in my class at reciting!That's when I really started to get interested in reciting as a hobby. I loved the feeling of mastering a text through memorization and practice. It was like a fun challenge every time.Then when I could finally recite the poem or speech flawlessly in front of others, I felt so proud and accomplished.My parents saw how much I enjoyed reciting, so they started finding more poems, speeches, and texts for me to learn and practice at home. We would have little "reciting performances" in our living room. My parents, grandparents, and other relatives would sit and listen while I recited. I actually felt like a professional performer up on stage! They always cheered and clapped when I was done.Some of my favorite recitations to perform are famous poems like "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost and "The Tiger" by William Blake. I love how poetic and vivid the language is in those. I can really bring the words to life when reciting them with enthusiasm and expression.But I also enjoy reciting famous speeches like the "I Have a Dream" speech by Martin Luther King Jr. and patriotic texts like the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution. Those are more serious and powerful recitations that give me a sense of importance and pride.Sometimes I'll even memorize and recite lyrics to some of my favorite songs! My parents laugh when I'm dramatically reciting song lyrics around the house. Music lyrics can actually bereally poetic too when you break them down and recite them properly.My ultimate goal is to get involved in speech and debate competitions in middle school and high school. I've watched videos of those types of tournaments and they look like so much fun. I dream of standing up on a stage and powerfully reciting a famous speech or poem in front of an audience and judges. Maybe I'll even win some trophies for my reciting skills one day!The other really cool thing about reciting is you can always keep learning and expanding your repertoire. There are just so many amazing texts out there to discover and master. From ancient texts and scripture to modern song lyrics and movie lines - the possibilities are endless.Just the other day, my English teacher taught us a really neat poem called "Daffodils" by William Wordsworth. I loved the imagery in that poem of the beautiful yellow flowers dancing in the breeze. As soon as I got home from school, I started committing that poem to memory so I could recite it for my parents later. They were so impressed with my new recitation when I performed it for them over dinner!Reciting has honestly become a huge passion and joy in my life. I'm constantly searching for new poems, speeches, scripts,and lyrics to add to my collection. I get such a thrill out of memorizing the words and rehearsing them out loud over and over again. It feels like I'm bringing those beautiful words to life and giving them a voice.Even when I'm not actively practicing a new recitation piece, I'll often find myself naturally reciting bits of texts I already know under my breath throughout the day. Like when I'm getting ready for school in the morning, walking to the bus stop, or playing outside during recess. The words and phrases just flow out of me since they're so deeply engrained in my mind.My friends think it's kind of a weird and quirky habit of mine. Sometimes they'll hear me randomly start reciting Shakespeare in the middle of our games and tease me about it. But I don't mind at all - I'm proud to be a reciter! To me, reciting is such an incredible art form for bringing the written word to life through performance.I feel super lucky that my parents have been so supportive and encouraging of my reciting hobby too. A lot of kids' parents might think it's a total waste of time to spend hours memorizing and reciting texts out loud. But not my mom and dad - they see how passionate I am about it and how it's become a creative and intellectual outlet for me.Who knows, maybe I'll end up becoming a famous actor, poet, or speechwriter when I grow up? I could definitely see myself pursuing any career that involves a lot of speaking, writing, and text performance. I might even start coaching other young reciters in the future and passing on my love for the art.For now though, I'm just going to keep filling my brain with as many incredible texts as I can and practice reciting them to anybody who will listen! Reciting is a lifelong hobby that I know I'll be able to enjoy forever. I can't wait to see what other amazing works I get to discover and master through the power of memorization and performance.Well, thanks for letting me share my biggest passion - reciting!
