本单元主要话题是谈论假期，以日记的形式记录自己生活的故事。写英文日记是“写作”题中常见题型之一，其一般对内容、体裁、格式、词数都有严格的要求。日记可以有标题，通常可以省略。正文部分可以顶格写，也可以空三到五个字母的空隙。一般情况下可以用过去时态来叙述，但是若有议论、抒情或写景时，可以用现在时态或将来时态。日记中记叙的事情不宜过多过杂，选取你印象最深的一两件事记叙即可，不能写成流水账。左上角顶格写日期，星期几。此部分内容页可以写在第一行偏右位置。
3. 写作应用
请写一篇日记：5月1日，星期天。要点如下：
今天是五一节，是一个重大节日；
同朋友外出游览，上午去西湖公园，中午在树下野餐，之后泛舟游西湖；
上岸后遇到了外国朋友，于是就用英语与之攀谈，他们夸你们英语说得好，你们感到很高兴，你们过

词数要求80词左右；
