本课时作为单元的第六模块，通过Reading 中介绍的古典音乐作曲家--谭盾引出本课时的话题---Different kinds of music。
接下来听有关艺术节的海报，侧重训练学生听时间和日期的能力。
再以同一曲调不同曲风的一段视频让学生感受音乐的不同类型，并以视频展现各种曲风的特征，为A2 部分的听力做好铺垫。
接着完成A3 部分的练习，并链接中考。
最后引出“邀请别人参加音乐会”的语言功能。
教学中坚持听、说、读、写四项基本技能在课堂教学中各有侧重地加以训练。
按照这一要求本课通过形式多样的活动设计，首先增强学生对所教授的新生词有个感性认识，通过video、music、singing 等多种形式的活动设计，设置情境，培养学生学习兴趣。
