1. 教材的地位与作用：

二、学情分析：
学生进入八年级后，有一定的英语基础和语言学习能力，语言感知能力较强，学习积极性高。
通过本单元前几课时的学习及课前有关“感恩节”微课的利用，学生对本节课的话题已有一定的知识储备。
有了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力，正逐步向读写过渡。
同时也又有了初步自主，合作探究能力。
