常考的话题有活动、展览、比赛、讲座等事项通知。
通知分为书面通知（Written Notice）和口头通知（Oral Announcement）。
口头通知所使用的语言具有明显的口语特征，通俗易懂。
书面通知是正式的布告或公告，要求言简意赅、措辞得当，表达正式。
【锦囊妙计】书面通知写作要点：1.在第一行的中间位置写标题Notice或NOTICE。
2.正文包括：被通知的对象、时间、地点、注意事项等。
3.落款（发布的单位或个人署名）通常放在右下角，若有发布时间也放在右下角）。
4.人称：一般采用第三人称；如正文前有称呼语则用第二人称。

3.口头通知常有结束语。
如：That’s all. Thank you very much.4.语言应该简洁明了、直截了当，必要时考生可以考虑使用祈使句或者被动语态，写作涉及的地点和时间的安排应该是地点在先时间在后，并且从小到大排列。
