Unlike the former three units, it shows the students a new kind of writing style. The topic of this unit is helping others and voluntary work. For middle school students, they should have the sense of responsibility and the sense of obligation. In this lesson, the students read the letter and know Jo’s experience as a voluntary teacher in PNG and understand the meaning of the writer’s volunteering work. That is to say, the Ss will finish tasks after their reading and do group work and have a better understanding of the letter. There are 9 paragraphs in this letter. It is a little long for our senior school students. So before the class, I will divide the students into 9 groups. Each group looks through different paragraphs, and tries to get the key words or sentences to introduce the main idea of each paragraph. Then try to divide the passage into four parts according to the main idea of each paragraph. This can inspire the students to be active and enthusiastic. 牛津高中英语M7U4Reading 说课稿InterpretationIn the reading process, I will focus on students’long-term development and enable them to use proper reading skills and strategies. In other words, students are guided to read efficiently and independently .My teaching plan will include 7 sections. They’re analysis of the reading material, identifying the teaching aims , Important and Difficult Points , Teaching Methods , Teaching aids ,teaching procedures and Blackboard Design.Section 1 Analysis of the teaching materialThe selected teaching material is a article taken from the reading section of Module 7, Unit4 of Advance with English. This is the first period of the Reading:“The first underground in the world”. The article is a tourist brochure about the London Underground, which is intended to develop the theme of the unit, that is, Public transport. After analyzing it carefully, I find the article has two unique characteristics. First, it’s a long passage with 688 words, much more than the usual texts.
