Step1.analyse the following sentences and pay attention to the use of the past participle.
1.Questioned by the police ,he felt very nervous.

afraid.

观察并分析例句1-8,其中都含有过去分词短语,且分别说明主句发生的原因、时间、条件、伴随情况,让步关系等,在句中作________语。

在句1-5中,过去分词短语与该句主语之间存在__________关系,如句2中他是“被警察质问”。

所以,我们可知过去分词作状语,与该句主语存在_____________关系。

在句6-7中,过去分词与主语之间并无被动关系,只表示一种状态,常见的有frightened,lost,surprised,tired,satisfied等。

如“tied”与“the climber”,之间。

由句5可知,过去分词作状语时的否定式为在其前加否定词。

此外,为了明确所作状语的种类,有时可以在作状语的分词前添加连词,如when、if、while等,如句8。
