我今年11岁，是一个普普通通的女孩，瓜子脸，皮肤有点白，因为剪发了，头发有点短，但还能扎起来。

I had never seen a building so tall as that! We took an elevator shooting straight up to the observation deck on one of the top floors. The 360 degree view of the entire Manhattan skyline was breathtaking. I didn't know which way to look first. You could see for miles and miles in every direction, making me feel so small among the concrete canyons.Next up was the Staten Island Ferry, which we rode simply for the awesome views of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan's downtown skyline. Seeing that huge, green woman holding her torch really high in the sky was a pretty surreal moment. Whilethe ferry itself wasn't that exciting, getting up close to such an iconic landmark was definitely worth the trip.We spent the next couple days bouncing around to different neighborhoods and areas, each with its own unique flavor and vibe. We wandered through the narrow, maze-like streets of Chinatown. The aromas of dim sum and roasted ducks wafting from restaurant doors made my mouth water the whole time we were there. This was such a stark contrast from the previous areas, with funky record stores, vintage clothing shops, avant garde art galleries, and cool indie cafes and bars lining the roads. The vibe was much more artsy and bohemian compared to other neighborhoods, with lots of interesting people watching opportunities.All the walking around had me completely tuckered out, so we finally visited Times Square to just soak in the bright lights and energy. It was the most neon, flashy, loud, and exciting place, with massive digital billboards and video screens covering nearly every square inch of the buildings. People were snapping selfies every two seconds while street performers did all sorts of wildacts nearby. Even as a kid, I could feel the pure electricity pulsing through the very air in Times Square.Unfortunately, our big NYC adventure had to come to an end eventually. After hugs and goodbyes with my aunt and uncle, we loaded back into the car for the long drive home. As we pulled away, I watched the Empire State Building shrink smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror until it finally disappeared completely. While I was sad to leave, I also felt so incredibly grateful to have experienced a place as vibrant, iconic and full of life as New York City. It's a trip my sister and I will never forget!篇5My Most Exciting Summer Vacation EverHi there! My name is Emily and I'm going to tell you all about the most exciting summer vacation I've ever had. It was last summer after I finished 3rd grade. My family and I went on an amazing trip to Yellowstone National Park!We had been planning the trip for months. Mom and Dad showed us pictures of Yellowstone in our big picture atlas book and it looked like the coolest place ever. There were tall mountains, huge waterfalls, and wild animals like bison and bears roaming around! I could hardly wait.Finally, after what felt like forever, the last day of school arrived. I ran out to the car as fast as I could, already dressed in my camping clothes. We hit the road bright and early the next morning. Dad loaded up our big truck with our tent, sleeping bags, hiking backpacks, and lots of snacks.The drive took two whole days! We stayed in hotels overnight but I could barely sleep I was so excited. I passed the time reading books, coloring, and playing road trip games like I Spy and the License Plate Game. Every time we crossed into a new state, I put a new sticker on the map to track our journey.At long last, we reached the west entrance to Yellowstone. An enormous stone archway marked the entrance. I gasped when I saw it. This was it! We had arrived! The ranger at the gate gave us a big packet of maps and information about the park. We could stay for an entire week!Our first stop was the campground where we would be setting up our tent for the next several nights. We found a great spot right along a rushing river. While Mom and Dad struggled to set up the tent, I explored the area around our campsite. The ground was covered with fallen pine cones and the air smelled so fresh and clean. A few deer even wandered right past me!Once we had our home base setup, the real adventure began. We spent the days hiking along scenic trails surrounded by wildflowers and breathtaking views. One day we hiked up to see the Grand Prismatic Spring, which is a natural hot spring with brilliant colors unlike anything I've ever seen. The water in the middle is scalding hot but rings of red, yellow, and blue surround it. It looked like something from another planet!My favorite day was when we went to the geyser basins. Geysers are like little volcanoes that periodically erupt with sprays of hot water. We happened to be in the right place at the right time to witness Old Faithful, the most famous geyser of all. Just like clockwork, the ground started rumbling and then POOSH! A giant column of piping hot water shot up over 100 feet into the air! It was like the earth was breathing. The whole thing probably only lasted a couple minutes but it felt like a lifetime.In between hiking and exploring the amazing landscape, we got to see lots of cool wildlife too. We spotted bighorn sheep scaling the rocky cliffs and herds of bison lazily grazing in the fields. Once we even saw a black bear lumbering along a hillside though we kept our distance! My stuffed bear Teddy came along for all the adventures.As amazing as all the sights were, my very favorite part of the whole vacation was our night in the Old Faithful Snow Lodge. The lodge had a huge stone fireplace in the main lobby, big enough for several people to sit inside! After a fun day of hiking, we all got cleaned up and dressed in our nicest clothes. We had a wonderful fancy dinner in the grand dining hall. I even got to order a chocolate brownie sundae for dessert! That evening we all curled up together by the crackling fire, toasting marshmallows and talking about all the incredible things we had seen and done so far. It was pure magic.All too soon it was our last day in the park. We spent the morning walking along some boardwalks over beautiful milky blue hot springs. I dipped my hand in the waters and couldn't believe how warm they felt! That afternoon we reluctantly loaded everything back into the truck and headed for home.The drive always feels twice as long on the way back from vacation. I spent most of it daydreaming out the window, remembering our spectacular week. I officially fell in love with national parks on that trip. Back at home I put all the pictures we took into an album and wrote captions about each of my favorite memories. I kept my Yellowstone park magnet on the fridge andmy stuffed Teddy bear on my bed to help me remember every single detail.I know for sure that was the first of many more national park adventures for my family. As we walked along the path, I could hear the roars of lions echoing in the distance. It sent shivers down my spine! We soon came across the lion enclosure and I was in awe. There were three massive lions laying out in the sun, their powerful bodies stretched out on the rocks. One opened its mouth wide and let out a terrifying roar that made me jump back. I couldn't believe how loud and fearsome they were up close.Next up were the tigers. They were pacing back and forth, their tails swishing forcefully from side to side. Their stripes were so vivid and bright. One tiger stopped directly in front of me and stared at me with its piercing eyes. I was frozen, mesmerized by this beautiful but deadly creature just a few feet away. Dad had to nudge me along because I didn't want to leave!After the big cats, we stopped for a snack and something to drink. I devoured about 10 granola bars and a whole Capri Sun while we rested on a bench. People-watching at the zoo wasalmost as fun as seeing the animals. I saw someone's baseball cap get carried off by a hungry seagull!Refueled and re-energized, we headed over to the gorilla habitat next. I was surprised by how human-like they looked up close. One gorilla was really hamming it up for the crowd, pounding on his chest and making all kinds of funny faces. Another one had her back turned to us and...well...let's just say a gorilla's butt is really funny to a third-grader! We all cracked up laughing.For lunch, we headed over to the food pavilion area and grabbed some hot dogs, fries, and lemonades. As we were eating, I noticed a little kid whimpearing because he had dropped his entire ice cream cone on the ground. An adult soon came over with a brand new ice cream for the kid. His face instantly went from frowning to beaming! After refueling, we walked around some more to walk off our food comas.One of the last exhibits we went to see were the snakes. Now, to be honest, snakes kind of freak me out and this was my least favorite part. We saw an enormous python curled up in the corner. Every few minutes it would slowly slither across its cave, allowing you to see just how long it really was. We also saw aglass enclosure filled with tiny, brightly-colored tree frogs. Those were pretty neat.Finally, before leaving, we had to hit up the gift shop. I spent my souvenir money on a stuffed lion, some chocolates, and a new zoo t-shirt. Tommy got a raccoon hand puppet that he wouldn't stop talking through in a goofy voice. By the time we left, we were all completely exhausted but filled with great memories.It was a long ride home and we were all passed out before we even hit the highway. I'll never forget how amazing that trip was - seeing those powerful big cats, laughing at the silly gorillas, and getting to spend quality time with my family. Experiences like that zoo trip are what make great childhood memories. I'd give anything to be able to go back and re-live it all over again!。
