1. 语音
本课没有新的语音项B，语音教学的重点是复习音标。
本册课本第一课至第十一课已经学了42个音标，其中元音音标19个，辅音音标23个。
本课对这些音标进行一次全面复习。
先快速复习与字母形式相同的16个辅音音标。
然后把复习的重点放在剩下的26个音标上。
这26个音标是：
短元音：/æ/ /e/ /i/ /ɔ/ /ʌ/ /u/ /ə/
长元音：/a:/ /ɔ:/ /i:/ /u:/ /ə:/
双元音：/ei/ /ai/ /əu/ /au/ /iə/ /eə/ /ɔi/
辅音：/θ/ /ð/ /ʃ/ /tʃ/ /dʒ/ /j/ /ŋ/
复习方法是：写出一些含以上音标的生词，并注上音标，然后让学生拼读这些词。
复习语音的另一个重点是字母组合的读法，本册课本中接触了一些最常见的字母组合的读法，教师可进行归纳，它们是：
ai, ay读作/er/ 如：again, play
ee读作/i:/ 如：meet, tree
ea读作/i:/或/e/ 如：please, head
oo读作/u:/或/u/ 如：room, look
ar读作/a:/ 如：car, park
er读作/ə:/或/ə/ 如：her, sister

2. 词汇
本课共出现11个生词，其中8个词要求四会，另外3个(wheat, together, cut)只要求会听，说，认读，不要求四会。
词组have to，也只要求能理解即可。
3. Read and act
本课是复习课，没有新的结构，出现的交际用语也只要求能听说，不要求掌握，也不要求进行操练。
本课的“读一读，演一演”是一个小故事，故事表扬了吃苦耐劳的红母鸡，以及小鸭、小猫和小狗乐于助人的精神。
在学过这段小故事后，可以组织学生表演，以增加他们的学习兴趣。
故事中出现的I like to work和I want to plant wheat是以不定式作宾语的句子，to work
和to plant wheat是不定式短语，分别作like和want的宾语。
You’re welcome意为“不用谢”，用来回答Thank you. 以上内容均只要理解即可，不要求掌握和运用。
更不要作语法分析和操练。
4. Revision Exercises
本课的Revision Exercises提供了四组练习题，第一题是听力，第二题是看图选介词短语，第三题是根据答句选问句，第四题是看图完成句子。
以上内容对1〜12课所学内容进行了复习，所有练习均可在课堂上完成。
