他的诗歌天分极高，却英年早逝。

1819年是济慈诗歌创作的高峰时期，他写下了许多清新优美的抒情诗。

其中，《夜莺颂》和《希腊古瓮颂》是济慈诗歌艺术中的不朽之作。
