本文重点讲述机考的特点及优势，以及机考对英语乃至其他学科教改的启示。

大学英语四六级标准化考试的目的是推动大学英语教学大纲的贯彻执行，对大学生英语能力进行客观准确的衡量，进而提高我国大学英语课程的教学质量。
大学英语四六级考试也历经多次改革，2005年6月起，教育部从形式内容上对该考试改革，总分变为710分，取消合格证书；2007年1月起，大学英语四六级考试只接受在校生报考；2007年6月起，实行网上评卷；2008年12月起四六级机考试点推行，可以说从这次开始的机考是一次颠覆式的改革；到2009 年6月全国机考的试点高校已扩大到180所，四六级全面推行机考已是大势所趋，机考也必将逐步取代纸制笔试。
二、大学英语四六级机考的特点机考跟传统的纸质笔试有着很大不同，四六级机考是依靠计算机和网络来进行的，学生不用纸笔，采取一人一机一套题的考试方式。
跟传统纸质笔试不同还在于，机考更注重听、读以及计算机的操作能力。
机考的听力语速比纸质笔试时更快，难度更大，而且机考的试题由计算机设定固定的答题时间，不能返回和拖延，这就促使考生必须合理规划考试时间。
1.机考试题的变化和传统纸质笔试重阅读理解不同的是，四六级机考更注重听力，听力比重占到70%，而传统纸质笔试听力比重仅占35%。
在机考环境下，传统的听力题目仍然和纸质笔试一样占35%，另外的35%是把跟读题和作文题也融入听力范围。

一、考场内所选用的设备应符合CET-SET技术要求。
二、考生报名前，考场内所有设备必须是经过检测且可在考试期间正常使用的。
三、每个考点必须配备2台服务器（含备份）、1台打印机和至少1台监考机，所有计算机都必须提前进行查毒、杀毒处理。
四、考试用机须配有耳麦，必须对光驱及USB接口进行物理密封。
五、考试期间，考场内所有计算机设备需与外网物理断开，任何人员不得使用移动存储设备接入计算机。
六、正式考试前8个小时，须对考场进行封闭，与考试无关人员不得进入，且指派专门人员进行值班。
七、考场门前须设置专门的签到区域，考试用机与备用机应粘贴明显标识以示区分。

一、总体思路
全国大学英语四、六级口语考试（CET-SET）是四、六级考核体系中的一部分。
二、内容
1.CET-SET考试的意义
全国大学英语四、六级考试（College English Test Band 4 and Band 6 简称“CET”）是教育部主办的一项大规模标准化考试，考核大学生英语能力的全国统一考试。
CET自1987年首次开考，目前已成为全国最大规模的单科考试，得到了社会的广泛认可，为提高高校英语教学水平发挥了积极的作用，是用人单位招聘的重要参考指标之一。
同时，CET受到国际主流英语测试项目托福及雅思的考试机构的高度关注，获得国际语言测试界的赞誉。
在教育部主管部门的领导下，在过去的二十五年中CET经过了多次改革和调整，现已成为具有中国民族品牌特色的语言能力测评体系。
CET考试不仅包括考核学生听力、阅读、写作和翻译能力的笔试，还包括考核考生口语能力的口试，即CET-SET。
CET-SET于1999年开始实施，2014年5月考试起，CET-SET 全部采用计算机化考试形式，考试时间为每年5月和11月。
2.CET-SET考试考核的能力范围
CET-SET主要考核学生英语口头表达能力，其中包括就一般
性话题进行比较流利的会话能力；表达个人意见、情感、观点等的能力；陈述事实、理由和描述事件的能力。
具体体现在以下几个方面：
●准确性：考生语音、语调以及所使用语法和词汇的准确程
度；
●语言范围：考生使用词汇和语法结构的复杂程度和范围；
●话语长短：考生对整个考试中的交际所作贡献、讲话的多
少；
●连贯性：考生有能力进行较长时间、语言连贯的发言；
●灵活性：指考生应付不同情景和话题的能力；
●适切性：根据不同场合选用适当确切的语言的能力。
3.考试内容及形式
●考试时间为15分钟，分为以下三部分：
●考试采用计算机化考试，通过计算机，完成考生与模拟考官、
考生与考生之间的互动。
采用机考可降低考生心理紧张程度，使其能充分发挥自身英语口语水平。

●报名资格
考生报名资格为参加过2005年6月及以后各次CET笔试（含网考），且CET4成绩为500分及以上或CET6成绩为425分及以上。
●报名方式
采用全国集中网上报名方式，考生可在全国范围内选择考点，缴费和领取准考证由考生在网上自主完成。

●考试成绩的发布：与笔试成绩同时在网上发布。
●成绩单：成绩达到C 等及以上将发放成绩报告单，报告单上

入口试的准考证考或笔试的准考证号即可查询到其口试成绩。
