动物园的动物故事

动物园的动物故事Title: A Day at the Zoo: Tales of the Animal KingdomOnce upon a time, in the heart of the bustling city, there was a magical place where the wild roamed free within the confines of its enclosures. This place was the city zoo, a sanctuary for animals from all corners of the globe. Here, every creature had a story to tell, and today, we delve into a few of these fascinating tales. The first story is about the majestic lions, the kings of the African savannah. In the zoo, they had a pride led by a wise old lion named Leo. Leo was known for his calm demeanor and his ability to teach the young cubs the ways of the jungle. He would often recount tales of his ancestors, who roamed the plains under the watchful eye of the setting sun, their manes golden in the twilight.Next, we meet the playful otters, a family of aquatic acrobats. They lived in a specially designed habitat that mimicked their natural environment. The otters, with their sleek fur and mischievous eyes, were a favorite among the zoo visitors. They would often put on a show, diving and sliding through the water with grace and agility. The otters' story was one of camaraderie and joy, a testament to the importance of family bonds. Our journey continues with the wise elephants, gentle giants with a memory as vast as their homeland, the Asian jungles. The matriarch of the herd, Ella, was a beacon of wisdom and strength. She would guide the younger elephants through the trials of life, passing on the knowledge of their ancestors. The elephants' story was one of respect and reverence, a reminder of the deep connection between all living beings. In a corner of the zoo, the vibrant colors of the tropical birds caught the eye of every visitor. The parrots, with their vibrant plumage and sharp wit, were a sight to behold. They would often engage in playful banter, mimicking the sounds of the jungle and the laughter of the visitors. The parrots' story was one of adaptability and resilience, a celebration of the beauty of nature.Lastly, the story of the zoo's most elusive resident, the snow leopard, is one of mystery and stealth. Living high in the mountains, the snow leopard was rarely seen, but its presence was always felt. The leopard's story was one of solitude and grace, a symbol of the wild spirit that still roams the earth. As the sun set on another day at the zoo, the animals settled into their night routines, each with their own story to tell. The zoo was not just a place of confinement but a place where the wild and the tame could coexist, a place where every visitor could learn about the wonders of the animal kingdom and the importance of conservation. And as the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, the tales of the zoo's inhabitants continued, a testament to the enduring spirit of the wild.。

The Wonderful Sounds in the Zoo。
As soon as you step into the zoo, you are greeted by a chorus of sounds. The roar of the lion, the trumpeting of the elephant, the chatter of the monkeys, the squawk of the parrots, and the hiss of the snakes all blend together to create a symphony of animal sounds. The lion's roar is perhaps the most powerful sound in the zoo. It can be heard from far away and sends shivers down your spine. It is a warning to other animals that the king of the jungle is on the prowl. The elephant's trumpet, on the other hand, is a sound of joy and excitement. It is a way for the elephant to communicate with its herd and express its emotions. When you hear an elephant trumpet, you can't help but feel happy and uplifted. The monkeys, with their high-pitched chatter, create a lively and playful atmosphere in the zoo. They are always jumping around and swinging from tree to tree, and their chatter is a way for them to stay connected with each other. The parrots' squawk is a sound that is hard to miss. These colorful birds are known for their ability to mimic human speech, and their squawks and screeches can be heard from far away. They add a touch of exoticism to the zoo and make you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. Finally, the hiss of the snakes is a sound that is both eerie and fascinating. It is a warning to other animals to stay away, and it is a reminder that the zoo is not just a place of beauty, but also a place of danger. In conclusion, the sounds of the zoo are a testament to the diversity and beauty of the animal kingdom. Each sound has its own unique meaning and adds to the overall experience of visiting the zoo. So next time you visit the zoo, take a moment to listen to the wonderful sounds around you and appreciate the amazing creatures that create them.。
动物园里发生的故事英语作文

动物园里发生的故事英语作文An Unexpected Adventure at the Zoo.Once upon a time, in a bustling city far away, there lay a zoo renowned for its diverse collection of exotic animals. This zoo was not just a place for the locals to visit and marvel at the wonders of nature, but also a sanctuary for the creatures who called it home. One sunny morning, however, the routine tranquility of the zoo was disrupted by an unexpected event that would turn into a fascinating story. The day began as usual, with the zookeepers preparing the enclosures, feeding the animals, and ensuring their well-being. Children's laughter and excited chatter filled the air, accompanied by the occasional roar of a lion or the chirping of the birds. Among the many visitors, a family of four—a father, mother, and their two young children—stood out. They were eager to explore every corner of the zoo and make memories that would last alifetime.Little did they know that their visit would become the catalyst for an unforgettable adventure. As they strolled through the zoo, they came across a small, seemingly abandoned penguin enclosure. The enclosure was usually bustling with life, but today, it was strangely silent.。

If we take the conversation as main part of the first movement, then the above conversation about north direction can be regarded as a brief prelude generated by theme motive (“I‟ve been to the zoo”) before entry. This prelude is a ascending entry from subdominant ( 下 属 调 上 进 入 ), giving us casual and unconcerned feeling, which makes the appearance of the theme not so abrupt.
Apparently, this part is a sorrow music with a low and circuitous figuration(音型), which lays a foundation for the leading melody --- human‟s life modern city is similar with the situation in the zoo. The whole society is just like a zoo where human is confined in cages, lonely and isolated.
Compared to the first movement‟s, the outer sphere of the second movement is changed but its core remains unchanged. The typical rhythm of the play‟s leading motive repeated regularly. If the Jerry and Peter are on behalf of their class respectively, this part of Jerry‟s narration is portrayal of his class.
The four parts constitute a presentation people‟s deep strain of pathos in modern society, so we might say that pathos(悲怆) is the main theme which runs through the four movements.
The Zoo Story can be divided into four parts: 1, Jerry‟s inquiry of Peter‟s private life 2, Jerry‟s narration of his own private life 3, the long monologue of “Jerry and dog” 4, quarrel between Jerry and Peter and suicide of Jerry The four parts, like four movements in a symphony, make The Zoo Story into homophonic music (主题或主旋律音乐). Different from polyphony( 复调音乐 ) , homophonic music only has one theme, with other parts severed as a contrast or foil. So the main theme is always the highlight no matter it appears in treble, tenor, or bass registers.
PETER(obviously minding) Why... no,...no.
At the beginning, Peter has no interest in Jerry. He goes along with Jerry just for modesty and manner. This part of music is made up of two totally discordant tones. Actually, the strong contrast between the principal parts(jerry‟s desire of communicating) and accessory parts(Peter‟s reluctant answering) is a hint of the real relationship between Jerry and Peter. What hides in their forma conversation is the real incompatible
The Second Movement
“Do you know what I did before I went to the zoo today?”(Albee 25) It is a slight vibration(变奏) for the first movement and a connecting link between the preceding and the following. It opens the second movement. “It‟s one of those things a person has to do;”( Albee 25) It is like a overture of down tune(下行曲调) produced by woodwind which rests on half cadence (半中止),calling for the advancement of the theme, and also intriguing audiences' expectation.
Taking The Zoo Story as a symphony, this interpretation is going to analyze the musical features in its plot advancement in the four parts to reveal the play‟s structure features and theme.
The Musical Features of
The Zoo Story
“The Zoo Story was the first evidence of Albee‟s almost musical control of rhythm as the play moves through a carefully orchestrated and dramatically function series of crescendos(声音渐增) and diminuendos(声音渐弱)[...] language, in the play, is oblique. Words are aggression. There is a grammar to the relationship that goes beyond the exchange of lexical meaning.” ------Christopher Bigshy The Cambridge History of American Literature P46
Jerry: I went to the zoo, and then I walked until I came here. Have I been walking north?
Peter( puzzled): North? Why... I ...think so. Let me see.
[...] Peter (Anxious to get back to his reading): yes; it would so. (Albee 12-13) seem
The Third Movement
Jerry: ALL RIGHT.(As if reading from huge billboard)THE STORY OF JERRY AND THE DOG! (Natural again) What I am going to tell you has something to do with how sometimes it‟s necessary to go a long distance correctly;[...] But, it‟s why I went to the zoo today, and why I walked north... northerly , rather... Until I came here. All right. The dog. (Albee 36) This is overture of this movement. First , it is the repetition of the second (“Do you know what I did before I went to the zoo today?”) , which connects with the second naturally. Second, although there is also some slight variety on the basement of the first two parts, essentially, the story between Jerry and the dog is also related with the theme of establishment and development of relationship.
