On Dec. 20, a woman from Shandong province bought a pair of shoes for her child online. When the shoes were delivered to her by Yuantong Express Company, her husband found it extremely smelly. After trying wipe away the black liquid dots left on the shoes box, her husband left the shoes on the balcony. However here comes the tragic. Her husband stated to feel dizzy and sick, half an hour after he was sent to hospital, he died despite emergency rescue. It turned out it was the black liquid left on the shoes poison her husband to death, and the black liquid is kind of dangerous toxic chemical which was leaked while delivering by the express company. And so far, the polluted goods have caused nine persons get poisoned and one get killed.
Yuantong express company, the chemical senders and the local postal administration are to blame for this accident.
First the chemicals company in Hubei concealed the danger of its goods and insisted the Yuantong express company to deliver this chemical, which is totally against the law that those corrosive chemicals are allowed to be delivered.
Secondly, Yuantong express company delayed to report the problems accordingly and try to address the problem simply to cover their mistakes.
Last but not least is the relative department especially the postal administration. Their neglecting supervision triggered the violation of delivering regulation. Since the online shopping has become an irreversible trends that contributes a lot to the economy, the relative laws and regulations in various aspects should be enforced or established, so that the consumer’s rights can be well-protected, because we don’t want to get killed by a delivery.。
