三、倒装后置于句首的是副词
基本句式结构为“副词+as / though+主语+动词”。
其中的副词主要用于修饰谓语动词。
如：Sincerely as Mary loves him, he ignores her. 虽然玛丽真心爱他，但他却不理她。
He was unable to make much progress, hard as he tried. 尽管他做了努力，却未能取得很大进展。
Fast as you read, you can’t finish the book in two days. 尽管你读得很快，你总不能在两天之内就读完这本书。
Bravely though they fought, they had no chance of winning. 虽然他们打得很勇敢，但是没有可能获胜。
Hard though they tried, they couldn't make her change her mind. 尽管他们做了很大努力，却没法让她改变主意。

这类句式中用于句首的“动词原形”通常是不及物的，但有时也可能是及物动词。

其中的分词可能是现在分词或过去分词，若是现在分词，则通常与主语后的助动词构成进行进态；若是过去分词，则通常与主语后的助动词构成被动语态。
