利用歌曲呈现月份词汇，营造英语氛围。
学生在小学时已经接触过有关月份的名词，运用歌曲、图片和游戏重新激起学生的学习兴趣。
在学序数词揭示识记规律，让学生按照一定规律来记单词。
本课难点是日期表达，因此设置反复循环练习法练习英语月份和序数词，寓教于乐，帮助学生攻克难关，为下一步练习核心句型扫除障碍。
通过小组活动使学生形成合作学习意识，学以致用，把本课重点内容全部融入到任务中，使学生在完成任务的同时全面复习巩固本课重点知识。

其中section A主要以when is your birthday?为线索，重点呈现日期的表达，包括12个月份的名称及序数词的学习。
第二部分扩展到when is Children’s Day? 继续学习与巩固日期的表达法。
所以A部分的教学设计以循序渐进的教学方法，兼顾了听、说、读、写各种能力的培养，但重点放在听和说上。
而第一课时主要是训练学生的听说能力和交际能力，学会谈论十二个月份，会询问或回答生日年龄，为接下来的其他课型做准备。
二．教学背景分析学生在前几单元中已经学了由where与how much引导的特殊疑问，对特殊疑问句有一定的了解。
同时在前一单元已经学了基数词的表达法，对第八单元序数词的表达法的学习起了铺垫作用。
但是由于我们是农村学校，学生的英语基础不是很好，学习内容不能太多。
所以本课时主要学习1a-1c部分的内容，主要学习有关十二个月份的表达方法。
关于日期的序数词的表达方式，让学生先有一个基本的认识，具体规律放在本单元第二课时学习。
三．教学目标1、语言知识目标：学会十二个月的表达法，询问他人生日。
2、语言能力目标：复习掌握有关基数词的不同使用方法，掌握对比、归纳的能力。
3、情感态度目标：了解同学或家人的生日，学会如何增进与他人的感情。
四．教学重点难点分析十二个月份的表达和本课的其他中心词汇，学会询问他人生日。
本课的生词拼写和读音都比较难，可以采取对比，找异同，由易及难，编口诀的方式并交叉听说读写等各种手段来强化记忆。
