We took the high-speed train from Shanghai, and it only took about 5 hours to get there. That's way faster than driving! As soon as we arrived in Beijing, I could tell it was a really big, important city. There were tall buildings everywhere, and lots of people rushing around. Our hotel was nice and modern, with a huge TV in the room. The first thing I wanted to do was go exploring! The next day, we visited Tiananmen Square. It's this massive open plaza right in the center of Beijing. I had seen pictures, but it was even bigger in real life! We took lots of photos in front of the giant portrait of Chairman Mao hanging on the Tiananmen Gate. There were security guards everywhere making sure no one caused any trouble. After that, we went to the Forbidden City, which is this incredible palace where China's emperors used to live. It's called "forbidden" because regular people weren't allowed inside for a really long time. But now it's open as a museum and tourist site. We spent hours walking through all the different buildings, gardens, and courtyards. Everything was so ornate and beautifully decorated. I felt like a prince exploring my own palace! The next day, we did something really cool - we hiked along a section of the Great Wall of China! I had learned about the Great Wall in school, but finally seeing it in person wasmind-blowing. It's so massive and goes on forever across the mountains. We had to climb up and down a bunch of steep steps, but the views from the top were worth it. You could see the wall snaking through the trees and hills for miles and miles. Our guide told us about how the wall was built over hundreds of years to protect China from invaders. Amazing! After hiking, we were pretty tired, so the next day we took it easy and went to some parks and markets around Beijing. We visited the Temple of Heaven, which is this incredible temple complex with beautiful architecture and gardens. We also wandered through Wangfujing Street, which is this hugepedestrian shopping area with snack vendors, restaurants, and stores selling all kinds of stuff. I tried scorpion skewers, which actually weren't too bad!On our final day in Beijing, my parents took me to see the pandas at the Beijing Zoo. They are SO cute and fluffy! We watched them munch on bamboo and play around. I could have spent all day just watching the pandas. The zoo also had other cool animals like elephants, lions, and komodo dragons. But the pandas were definitely the stars of the show. After a fun-filled week in Beijing, it was time to head back home to Shanghai. I had such an incredible time exploring China's capital. From the historical sights like the Forbidden City and Great Wall, to the parks, markets, food, and pandas - Beijing was just awesome. I made so many amazing memories that I'll never forget. I already can't wait to go back someday!篇2My Amazing Trip to Beijing!Wow, let me tell you all about my incredible trip to Beijing last summer! It was the first time I had ever been to China's capital city, and I was super excited. My mom, dad, and little sister went too, and we had the best family adventure. The first thing I noticed when we got to Beijing was how big and crowded it was. There were people and cars everywhere! Our hotel was right in the center of the city, and from our room we could see tall skyscrapers stretching up into the sky. Everything felt so modern and busy compared to back home.On our first full day, we visited the famous Tiananmen Square. It's this huge open plaza in the heart of Beijing. I had learned about it in school, but seeing it in person wasmind-blowing. The square itself is massive, and there were tourists from all over the world there taking pictures. At one end is the Gate of Heavenly Peace with a giant portrait of Mao Zedong hanging above it. Our tour guide told us all about the important historical events that happened there. It was amazing to be walking in such an iconic place! The next day, we went to the Great Wall of China - definitely the highlight of the trip for me! We took a bus out to a quieter section called Mutianyu. As we walked up the path towards the wall, I could see it snaking across the mountain ridges in the distance. It looked so old and almost magical against the green hills. When we finally reached it, I was stunned by how enormous the wall actually is. The bricks and stone steps seemed to stretch on forever in both directions. Our guide said it took hundreds ofyears and millions of workers to build it all by hand. No wonder it's considered one of the great wonders of the world!Climbing up onto the Great Wall itself was a workout with all the steep steps, but it was totally worth it. The views from up there were breathtaking. You could see the valleys and mountains all around, with the wall winding over the peaks as far as the eye could see. Part of it was even disappearing into the misty clouds in the distance. I felt like I was in an ancient world hundreds of years ago when it was first built to protect China from invaders. Just being up on those old stones was such a powerful experience! After visiting the iconic historical sites, we got to explore some fun modern attractions too. One day we went to the Beijing Olympic Park, which is where the 2008 Summer Olympics were held. We saw the incredible Bird's Nest stadium up close and visited the olympic village areas. Everything was built on such a grand, massive scale - it really showed off China's amazing architecture and engineering. I would love to actually attend the Olympics there someday and see it all in action!Another part of Beijing I loved was all the delicious food. Chinese cuisine from different regions was available everywhere, and we tried so many tasty dishes. From crispy Peking duck tomouth-watering dumplings to fresh noodles in savory broth, it was all incredibly flavorful. We even got to watch an entertaining noodle dance performance where the chefs tossed and stretched the dough with impressive skills. And don't even get me started on all the yummy street foods we snacked on!On our final day in Beijing, we took an excursion out to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall again to hike a longer route. The scenery of the Great Wall winding through the lush green mountains was just stunning. Even though the endless staircases had my legs feeling like jelly, the peaceful quiet and crisp fresh air was so rejuvenating. I felt so small compared to this massive ancient structure, but also so grateful to be experiencing such a renowned world wonder right before my eyes.Beijing was jam-packed with incredible sights, from towering modern skyscrapers to ancient wonders like the Forbidden City and the Great Wall itself. I'll never forget the amazement I felt exploring destinations that were so different from my regular life back home. Getting to experience a new country and culture like that was an adventure I'll cherish forever. I'm already dreaming about my next trip abroad - maybe somewhere in Europe next time! Who knows what other awesome places I'll get to discover.篇3My Amazing Trip to Beijing!Wow, I just got back from the most incredible trip to Beijing, the capital of China! My mom and dad took me there for the spring holiday and it was seriously the best vacation ever. The first thing I have to tell you about is the plane ride. It was my first time ever flying and I was a little nervous, but also really excited. The plane was huge! When we took off, my stomach did a flip-flop and I couldn't stop giggling. The flight attendants were so nice and gave me cookies and juice. I watched movies the whole way there too. Flying is awesome! When we landed in Beijing, I could hardly believe my eyes. The airport was massive, like a small city! We took a taxi to our hotel in the city center and I just stared out the window the whole ride. The streets were jam-packed with cars, bikes, and people. The buildings seemed to stretch up to the sky. Everything was so tall, busy, and loud compared to my little town back home. Our hotel room was on the 22nd floor and had an amazing view. We could see all across the city skyline. That first night, we went out for authentic Beijing duck at a famous restaurant. The crispy skin with sweet bean sauce was delicious! I tried usingchopsticks for the first time too. It was really tricky but I kept practicing. The next day, we went to Tiananmen Square, the huge plaza in the heart of Beijing. It's one of the biggest public squares in the world! We took a tour and I learned it's been the site of lots of important events in Chinese history over the centuries. Seeing it in person made me feel tiny. From there, we walked into the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace where China's emperors lived hundreds of years ago. It's absolutely ginormous, with something like 9,000 rooms! We spent hours wandering the different buildings, gardens, and corridors. My favorite part was the intricate wooden carvings and the bright yellow-glazed roof tiles. It felt like stepping into an ancient world. The next day, we went to the Great Wall. I couldn't wait because I'd learned all about it in school. We took a bus ride out to a less-crowded section called Mutianyu. As we got closer, I could see snippets of the massive stone wall snaking across the green mountainsides in the distance. It was breathtaking. Once we were up on the wall itself, the views stretched on forever in each direction. The wall really is incredible and immense in person. We hiked for a couple of hours, up and down the steep steps along the ridge. Parts of it were pretty crumbly and wild, which made me feel like an explorer from long ago. I loved clambering along the watchtowers and imagining the soldiers keeping look-out centuries before. What an unbelievable feat of engineering and construction! The Great Wall is definitely one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.We did so many other fun things in Beijing too. We explored the hutongs, the quaint old neighborhoodslined with courtyard homes and tiny alleys. We whizzed around on ubiquitous rented bicycles. We went to parks filled with locals practicing tai chi, dancing, playing games, and just hanging out. We saw amazing acrobats at one of the theaters. And we ate more delicious food than I can even name - noodles, dumplings, hot pot, BBQ skewers, candies, and on and on.Beijing is such a vibrant, bustling, historic city. Everywhere we looked, there were dazzling modern skyscrapers right beside ancient temples, narrow hutongs, and lively street markets. It's an incredible mix of the ancient and modern world, of East and West. I loved experiencing a culture so different from my own. The sights, sounds, and energy of the city were just electric.I have so many amazing memories from our trip to Beijing. My brain is still spinning from all the new people, places, and experiences I encountered. I took hundreds of photos and can't wait to make an album to remember it forever. Beijing is an extraordinary place and I already can't wait to go back someday! This was the journey of a lifetime.篇4My Awesome Trip to Beijing!Wow, let me tell you all about my amazing trip to Beijing, the capital city of China! It was so awesome and fun. My family and I went there for summer vacation and we had the best time ever.First, we visited the Forbidden City. This was the palace where the emperors of ancient China used to live with their families and workers. It's called the Forbidden City because regular people weren't allowed to go inside back then. The palace is humongous - it has 9,999 rooms! Can you imagine having that many rooms in your house? I would get so lost trying to find the bathroom. We spent almost an entire day wandering around the different halls, temples, gardens and courtyards inside the Forbidden City. Everything was built with beautiful red andyellow colors. My favorite part was the Imperial Garden with the pretty lakes, bridges, trees and flowers. I felt like a little emperor or empress exploring my own palace! The next day, we went to the Great Wall of China. Let me tell you, it was not an easy hike! The wall goes up and down over huge mountains and hills. My legs were super sore after climbing up all those steep steps. But it was 100% worth it because the views were breathtaking. We could see the enormous wall snaking over the peaks for miles and miles. I felt so tiny compared to this gigantic wall built so long ago.Did you know people say you can even see the Great Wall from space? I'm not sure if that's really true or not. If any aliens are reading this, let me know if you've spotted it before! The Great Wall must look like a long grey dragon sleeping on the mountains from far away.In the evenings, we wandered around Wangfujing Street which was always packed with people and smelled delicious from all the street food stands. We tried every kind of tasty snack - sugar dragon's beard candy, tanghulu candied fruit, stinky tofu, jianbing crepes, and amazing dumplings galore! My belly was always stuffed but I couldn't stop eating. One night, we attended an incredible Chinese acrobat show that blew my mind. The performers were so bendy and strong, doing incredible flips and human pyramids effortlessly. At one point, a lady sprinted on a rope while pulling a heavy rickshaw with another acrobat inside! It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.On our last day, we visited the adorable pandas at the Beijing Zoo. Those chunky bears were my favorite part of the whole trip! They lazed around chewing on bamboo and wrestling playfully with each other. I could have watched them all day. I tried making little panda noises by grunting and snorting at them, but the pandas just ignored my bad panda impressions.Beijing was absolutely incredible and I can't wait to go back again someday. From the epic historical sites to the delectable foods to the adorable pandas, every moment was fun and exciting. I give this trip a billion out of ten stars! I already miss Beijing so much.篇5My Trip to BeijingLast summer, my family went on a big trip to Beijing! We saw so many amazing things. The Forbidden City was huge withpretty gardens and buildings. At the Great Wall, I climbed up tons of steep steps. The jade sculptures at the museum were incredible. My favorite was the panda bears at the zoo - they were so cute and fuzzy! Beijing has great food too like dumplings and noodles. I had the best time exploring the city's history and culture. I can't wait to go back someday!篇6My Awesome Trip to Beijing!Wow, I just got back from the coolest trip ever to Beijing, the capital of China! My mom, dad, and little sister went with me during our spring break. We had such an amazing time exploring the city and seeing all the incredible sights. Let me tell you all about it!We started our adventure by visiting the Forbidden City. This was the imperial palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It's a massive complex with 9,999 rooms! Can you believe that? Our tour guide said only the emperor, his family, and servants could enter the Forbidden City back in the day. No ordinary people were allowed inside. We spent hours wandering through the different halls, gardens, and courtyards. Everything was decorated so beautifully with paintings, carvings, and pottery. My favorite part was the Imperial Garden with its pagodas and little bridges over the ponds. I felt like a princess exploring her castle! The next day, we went to see the famous Great Wall of China. Wow, it was even more incredible than I imagined! The Great Wall winds up and down across the mountains as far as the eye can see. Our guide told us it's over 13,000 miles long! That's really, really far. We hiked along a section of the wall, climbing up tons of steep steps. It was pretty tiring but so worth it for the amazing views. From up on the Great Wall, you can look out over the green hills and valleys stretching to the horizon. I felt like I was on top of the world! No wonder it's considered one of the great wonders of the world.Speaking of wonders, we also visited another - the gigantic Terracotta Warriors museum. These life-size warrior statues were buried underground for over 2,000 years until farmers rediscovered them in 1974. Each warrior has a different facial expression and details like hair and clothing. Apparently there are around 8,000 soldiers, horses, and chariots in the pits! It's mind-boggling that they were all created so long ago without modern tools. The Terracotta Warriors blew my mind.On our last day in Beijing, we explored some old neighborhoods called hutongs. These are areas with tiny alleys and courtyard houses from long ago. It was like stepping back in time! We took a rickshaw ride (that's a chariot pulled by a person) through the winding alleys. I could hardly believe people used to live in such small spaces. Our guide showed us inside one of the courtyard homes where a family had lived only 50 years ago. The kitchen, bedrooms, and living area were all contained in one little building with hardly any electricity or plumbing. I'm glad I live in a bigger, more modern house! Still, it was neat to imagine what life used to be like centuries ago in the hutongs.Throughout our trip, we also ate the most delicious food! My favorites were the dumplings, noodles, and Beijing's signature dish - Peking duck. It's duck meat wrapped up in a thin pancake with sauces and veggies. It doesn't sound that good, but believe me, it's amazing! We probably went a little overboard on snacking because there were just so many yummy things to try. I think we all gained a few pounds from eating our way through Beijing!I had such an unforgettable spring break experiencing the history, culture, and sights of China's capital. Beijing is a bustling, modern city but it also felt like traveling back through thousandsof years of traditions and stories. I'm so grateful my parents took us on this incredible adventure across the world. I'll never forget watching the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square, walking on the Great Wall, or seeing the Forbidden City lit up at night. Beijing is truly one of the most amazing places I've ever been. When I'm older, I'll definitely go back and explore even more of this fascinating city!。

I'm so excited to tell you all about my trip to Beijing last summer! My family and I went there for two whole weeks and it was the best vacation ever. Beijing is the capital city of China and it's really big and amazing. Let me tell you all about it!We started our trip by visiting the famous Tiananmen Square. It's a huge open space in the center of Beijing with lots of historic buildings around it. We took so many pictures in front of the giant portrait of Chairman Mao that hangs there. The square was so crowded with people! My little brother got lost for a few minutes and we were pretty scared, but we found him again quickly.Right next to Tiananmen Square is the Forbidden City. This was the palace where the emperors of China lived long ago. It has almost 1,000 buildings inside and we spent a whole day walking around and exploring! My favorite part was the Imperial Garden - it was so beautiful and peaceful with little bridges, ponds and trees. We also saw the throne room where the emperor would sit. I can't imagine how fancy and luxurious it must have been for the emperor to live there.Another day, we went to the Great Wall of China! We took a bus way out into the mountains to get there. Climbing up the steep steps of the wall was really tiring, but the view from the top was incredible. The Great Wall just goes on and on across the mountains as far as you can see. It must have taken so much work to build something so massive! We had a lot of fun takinggoofy pictures pretending to be ancient Chinese soldiers guarding the wall.We visited so many amazing temples around Beijing too. The Summer Palace had the most gorgeous gardens and a huge lake. At the Temple of Heaven, we watched people doing tai chi and playing games. My favorite was the colorful Lama Temple - the statues of Buddha there were huge! Everywhere we went, the temples were decorated with beautiful carvings and paintings of dragons and other symbols.Of course, we had to try some delicious Beijing foods too! We had the yummiest dumplings, noodles, and Peking duck. My mom loved trying all the different kinds of teas. And we couldn't leave Beijing without eating some scorpions and silkworm larvae from the street vendors (they tasted kind of crunchy and gross)! We also went to watch an acrobat show one night and the performers did incredible flips and tricks.Beijing has such a mix of old and new sights. We'd walk through ancient neighborhoods with courtyard homes called hutongs one minute, then be surrounded by giant modern skyscrapers and shopping malls the next minute. It felt like traveling back in time and into the future all at once! China has such a deep history but it's also developing at lightning speed.I have so many amazing memories from our trip to Beijing. From climbing on the Great Wall to exploring palaces and temples to trying crazy new foods, every day was an adventure. Beijing is absolutely jam-packed with fascinating sights, foods, and experiences around every corner. I feel so lucky that my family got to travel there and learn about China's incredible culture and history firsthand. I already want to go back again someday! Beijing is an amazing, unforgettable place.篇5My Awesome Trip to Beijing!Last summer, my family and I went on the best trip ever to Beijing, the capital city of China. I was so excited because I had never been to Beijing before and I had heard so many cool things about it. We were going to see ancient palaces, gigantic squares, and even walk along a section of the Great Wall of China!I could hardly wait.We took a plane from our city and after a few hours we finally landed at the huge Beijing Capital International Airport. As soon as we stepped outside, I was struck by just how big everything seemed in Beijing. The roads were incredibly wide with multiple lanes of traffic zipping along in both directions. Theairport terminal building itself looked like a palace with its modern architecture and bright red color. "Wow!" I said out loud. Our first stop was Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing. This massive public square is one of the largest in the world and can hold over a million people! We walked across the vast open area, taking in the sight of the red-walled Forbidden City at the northern end, and the monuments and flag poles positioned around the square. I had never seen anything quite so big and open before – it was like a giant parade ground. Watching the soldiers goosestep across while carrying bright red flags was a memorable experience. The next day, we entered the Forbidden City itself. This incredible palace complex was the home of Chinese emperors and their families and advisors for nearly 500 years. I loved wandering through the many halls, temples, gardens and residences. Everything was decorated with bright reds, blues, greens and yellows, with intricate wooden carvings and ceramic tile work. I felt like I had travelled back in time to dynastic China. The most spectacular area was the inner palace quarters where the Emperor himself lived with his many wives and concubines. They certainly lived a life of luxury back then! After the Forbidden City, we took a bus out of Beijing to the famous Badaling section of the Great Wall of China. I had seen this incredible man-made wonder in books and television shows before, but nothing prepared me for the awesome reality of it. The Great Wall snaked along the rugged mountain ridges as far as my eye could see in both directions, up and down steep rocky slopes and ramparts. It was amazing that this massive engineering project was constructed so long ago, mainly by human labor. We spent hours walking and climbing along the wall, taking pictures of the sweeping vistas across the hills and valleys below. What an unforgettable experience!Back in downtown Beijing, we visited a couple of other famous sites like the serene beauty of the Temple of Heaven and the picturesque old neighborhoods of hutong alleys. But my personal favorite had to be trying all of the delicious and unique Chinese foods like roast Peking duck, dumplings, noodles, and exotic street snacks like candied fruit on a stick. My taste buds were dancing with new flavors every day. I also loved going to the bustling night markets and trying lots of different skewers and fried treats.Throughout our stay, we were constantly struck by how modern, crowded, and lively Beijing was. There were people, cars, and construction everywhere you looked as this booming metropolis of over 20 million people rapidly grows and develops. One evening, we went up to the viewing deck of a skyscraper for a panoramic view and were amazed at the sheer vastness of the city in every direction. Huge multi-lane highways criss-crossed between neighborhoods of Soviet-era apartment blocks butting up against new forests of gleaming office and residential towers. It was both fascinating and a little overwhelming at times. Our time in Beijing flew by incredibly quickly. Before I knew it, we were headed back to the airport, our bags stuffed with souvenirs and our bellies still full from our last delicious Peking duck dinner. As we took off and the city shrank away below us, I felt so grateful that I had been able to experience the wonders of Beijing first-hand at last. It is a place of contrasts – serene gardens nestled amid chaotic streets, ancient monuments sharing space with modern architecture, quiet hutong alleys overshadowed by glitzy skyscrapers. Beijing dazzled me with its history and culture as well as its ambition and drive into the future. I already cannot wait to go back again someday!篇6My Amazing Trip to Beijing!Hi, my name is Lily and I am 10 years old. Last summer, my family took a very exciting trip to Beijing, the capital city of China! Beijing is a huge city with over 21 million people living there. It was very different from my small hometown. We flew on a big airplane to get to Beijing. I had never been on a plane before so I was a little nervous, but also really excited. The airplane was amazing! It flew so high up in the sky. I could see the whole city getting smaller and smaller as we took off. The flight attendants gave me yummy snacks and drinks on the plane too. When we arrived in Beijing, the first thing I noticed was how busy and crowded it was everywhere. There were so many people walking around the streets and cars driving by. The buildings were all so tall too, I had never seen skyscrapers that big before! Everything seemed gigantic compared to back home. Our hotel room had an incredible view overlooking the city. At night, all the skyscrapers were lit up and it looked just like the city never sleeps. I felt like I was in a big, bright fantasy world! Beijing is known for having some amazing historical sites too. We visited a few during our trip. The first one was the Forbidden City. It used to be the palace for the emperors of China to live in a long time ago. It's calledthe Forbidden City because nobodies except for the emperor and his family were allowed to go inside back then. But now it's open for everyone to visit and learn about China's history. The Forbidden City was so beautiful and grand! There were huge halls, courtyards, and gates all decorated with bright red walls, yellow glazed tiles, and intricate designs. My favorite part was walking through the various temples and throne rooms where the emperor would have lived and ruled from. I felt like a princess exploring a magical kingdom! Everything was just so regal and majestic.Another famous landmark we went to see was the Great Wall of China. It's an enormous ancient wall that winds across mountains and deserts in northern China. Portions of the Great Wall were first built over 2,000 years ago to help protect ancient Chinese states from invaders and enemies. It must have taken so much work and effort by millions of people to construct something that massive brick-by-brick!Climbing along the Great Wall was a bit tiring since there were a lot of steep steps, but the incredible views from the top were definitely worth it. The Wall just seemed to go on forever through the green mountains and landscapes in every direction. I felt so tiny compared to this immense man-made structure. Itwas amazing to walk along part of such an iconic piece of world history!Of course, we had to try lots of delicious Chinese food while we were in Beijing too. My favorite dishes were dumplings, noodles, and Peking duck. Dumplings are little bundles of dough filled with meat and vegetables. You use chopsticks to pick them up and dip them in soy sauce - so yummy! Noodles in Beijing are hand-pulled into long strands and mixed with flavorful sauces and toppings. And Peking duck is a famous roasted duck dish that had such a tasty crispy skin.Beijing had so many unique snacks and desserts that I had never tried before too. Some highlights were candied strawberries on a stick, adorable little egg tarts, andbunny-shaped breads filled with sweet bean paste. Everything was absolutely delectable! I definitely missed the amazing food after we returned home.Overall, my trip to Beijing was an unforgettable adventure. I got to experience a big, bustling city full of history, culture, and incredible sights. Exploring places like the Forbidden City and Great Wall made me feel like I had traveled back in time. And the fresh, tasty cuisine was out of this world!I feel so grateful that I had the chance to visit Beijing at sucha young age. It opened my eyes to how remarkable and diverse other parts of the world can be. I made so many wonderful memories that I'll cherish forever. Beijing is such a special place - I really hope I can go back again sometime soon!。

I went there with my mom and dad last summer and we had the best time ever.First of all, Beijing is crazy huge! It's got over 21 million people living there. Can you even imagine that many people?? My school doesn't have that many kids! The city is so massive that we took the subway everywhere. The subway stations were nice and clean, and games down there. Whenever we got on, I loved looking out the window at all the tall buildings and busy streets whizzing by.Beijing has the coolest ancient buildings and palaces from hundreds of years ago. We visited this place called the Forbidden City and it was forbidden for real - regular people weren't allowed in for a long time because it's where the emperors lived. But now everyone can go and it's not forbidden anymore! Phew! The Forbidden City is ginormous. Like, you could fit my whole town inside it! There are tons of halls, gardens, courtyards and gates all made out of pretty yellow roof tiles and red walls. We walked around for hours gawking at everything. My favorite was the Imperial Garden with the crazy gorgeous landscapes and temples. We also went to this other imperial palace called the Summer Palace. It's way out in the countryside and surrounds a massive lake and gardens. We took a dragon boat across the lake which was a blast! The Summer Palace is beautiful with all the traditional Chinese architecture painted bright colors. I loved walking along the Long Corridor which is a crazy long covered outdoor hallway.Beijing has some other awesome historical sites too. We saw the Temple of Heaven where the emperors used to have ceremonies to pray for good harvests. It has the coolestblue-tiled roof and is surrounded by longlong gardens. And we went to the Jingshan Park which is a big hill right in the middle of Beijing with these cool old temples and pavilions on top. We could see the entire Forbidden City from up there! But Beijing isn't just about old stuff - it also has a ton of modern attractions that are so fun. We went to this crazy placecalled the Beijing World Park that has tiny versions of famous sites from all around the world! They had miniature models of the Pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace and more. My mind was blown. My favorite modern part though was the Beijing Olympic Park. They held the 2008 Summer Olympics there and everything was still set up. We saw the iconic Bird's Nest stadium which looks like a bird's nest made out of crazy steel beams. So cool! We also went inside the Water Cube which is where they had the swimming events. It's basically a massive box made out of bubbles and has the most amazing light shows inside. And let me tell you about the food in Beijing - it was out of this world! We had Peking duck, which is this incredibly juicy roasted duck that you wrap up in little pancakes with sauce and vegetables. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We also had jiaozi, which are yummy dumplings, and tanghulu, which is candied fruit on a stick. For dessert, we had bingqilinpao which is kind of like a cream puff but a million times better.Wherever we went in Beijing, there were food stalls and hole-in-the-wall restaurants with the most amazing smells wafting out. We'd just point at whatever looked delicious and digin. Sometimes we had no idea what we were even eating but it was all incredibly tasty!Overall, Beijing was just the most fun, exciting, tasty and amazing city I've ever been to. I learned so much about China's rich culture and history just by walking around. It felt like I time traveled back hundreds of years to imperial China whenever we visited the palaces and temples. But then five minutes later, we'd be at some crazy modern attraction that blew my mind.Beijing is the perfect mix of old and new, and has so much to see and do. I could have spent months there and still not seen everything. I'm already bugging my parents to take me back for another visit because there's just so much left to explore! If you ever get the chance to go to Beijing, you absolutely have to take it. It's an adventure like nowhere else on earth.篇2My Favorite Travel City BeijingHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I love to travel and one of my very favorite cities is Beijing! Beijing is the capital of China and it's such an amazing place. Let me tell you all about why I love it so much.First of all, Beijing has so many incredible historical sites and ancient buildings. I'm really into learning about history, so this is super cool to me. The Forbidden City is definitely the most famous - it's this gigantic palace complex right in the heart of Beijing that used to be where the emperors lived. With nearly 1,000 buildings and over 8,000 rooms, it's like a whole little city inside the city! I remember walking through the huge gates and courtyards in awe. All the intricate painted details and the bright red and yellow colors were so beautiful. My favorite part was probably the Imperial Garden. It had these serene lakes and gardens, decorative rocks, pavilions, and bridges. I felt like I had been transported back in time as I wandered around the winding paths. Speaking of gardens, the Summer Palace was another highlight for me in Beijing. It's this massive ensemble of lakes, gardens, and palaces that used to be the emperor's summer retreat. I loved exploring the long corridors, stone bridges, and beautiful painted architecture on Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill.Beijing is also home to so many other famous historical attractions like the Temple of Heaven, the Lama Temple, and the hutongs, which are those traditional courtyard residences lined by alleys that locals have lived in for centuries. Everywhere youlook, there's architecture and sites that are hundreds of years old. As a kid really interested in the past, it's so amazing to be surrounded by that living history.Of course, I can't talk about Beijing without mentioning the Great Wall of China! Even though it's about an hour's drive outside the city center, it's definitely one of the biggest reasons people visit Beijing. Parts of the Great Wall are over 2,000 years old and it stretches for thousands of miles across China! The section we visited was Badaling, which is one of the most preserved and popular sections for tourists. I'll never forget that first moment of finally seeing the Great Wall snake along the mountain ridges with my own eyes - it was breathtaking! Walking along the watchtowers and steep steps was challenging but so worth it for those incredible views across the mountains.Another thing I love about Beijing is all the beautiful parks and gardens scattered throughout the city. Despite being such a huge bustling city, there are lots of green oases to explore. Jingshan Park has awesome views overlooking the Forbidden City with cute panda sculptures. Beihai Park surrounds a large lake and island, and has traditional Chinese gardens. And Zhongshan Park was once a imperial palace before beingopened up as public grounds. I loved riding the paddle boats around the lake there!Beijing is also a amazing place for food! My favorite was definitely the jianbing, which is kind of like a crepe or savory pancake wrapped up with eggs, crispy wontons, chilies, scallions, sauce and lots of other yummy fillings. You find little street carts and stands selling them everywhere, especially around universities in the mornings. I also loved the beijing kaoya or "Peking duck" which is oven-roasted duck served with steamed pancakes, plum sauce, and fresh veggies to wrap it up. It's famous around the world but nothing beats having it right in Beijing! And of course dumplings, noodles, and hot pot are also hugely popular. No trip to Beijing would be complete without seeing the famous Giant Pandas at the Beijing Zoo! They are just the cutest, most adorable creatures as they munch away on bamboo. The Red Panda exhibit was also super neat, as they are way smaller and more reddish-brown than the black and white Giant Pandas.I loved learning about their habitats and behaviors from the signs and zookeepers. There were also cool reptile houses, an aquarium, and lots of other animal enclosures to explore at the massive zoo.At night, I loved seeing landmarks like the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, and The Place all lit up in colorful lights. Wangfujing is the biggest shopping street and it's totally decked out with neon signs and stores at night. I always felt so energized wandering through the bustling night markets trying yummy street foods! Qianmen Street by the Zhengyang Gate was another fun area to explore with its classic hutong architecture mixed with modern shops and restaurants.I could go on and on about all the reasons I love Beijing so much! From the mind-blowing history, to the beautiful parks, to the incredible food scene, to all the fun attractions - it's just such a rich and vibrant city. Visiting there opened my eyes to traditional Chinese culture in a way I had never experienced before. The sights, sounds, and smells will forever be etched into my memory. I feel so lucky to have had the chance to explore Beijing at a young age and am already dreaming about my next trip back! It's an endlessly fascinating place thatstunslife-changing destinations every kid should experience.篇3My Favorite Travel City: BeijingBeijing is the capital of China and my favorite city to visit! I love going there with my family during the holidays. There's so much to see and do. Let me tell you all about the awesome things in Beijing! The first place we always go is Tiananmen Square. It's a huge open square right in the middle of the city. I mean, it's really, really big! Tons of people can fit there. Whenever we visit, there are lots of Chinese families taking pictures and flying kites and doing activities together. At night, the whole square lights up and it looks so pretty. Tiananmen Square connects to the Forbidden City, which was the palace for emperors in ancient China. The Forbidden City is probably my favorite part of Beijing. It's a massive complex of halls, gardens, and buildings all connected together. You could spend days exploring every little area! My favorite sights inside are the big thrones where the emperors sat and the incredible detailed artwork on the walls and ceilings. Everything is painted in bright reds, blues, greens, and golds. It's just beautiful. I also love seeing the little bridges and ponds scattered around the gardens. The Forbidden City feels like stepping back in time to an ancient world of royalty.Another must-see place in Beijing is the Great Wall of China. Parts of the Great Wall are right outside the city, so it's easy to take a day trip there. Climbing on the Great Wall is a little tough because the steps are uneven and steep. But the views from the top are incredible! You can see the Wall snaking across the mountains and hills for miles and miles. It's crazy to think that people built something so huge without modern technology way back in ancient times. The Great Wall makes me feel tiny compared to its massive size stretching to the horizon. The Summer Palace is another one of my favorite spots in Beijing. It was the gardens and palaces where royal families would escape the hot Beijing summers. There's a huge lake in the middle with a hilarious marble boat that was built just for looking at, not sailing! My favorite part is hiking up the big hill to the tower at the top. From there, you get a panoramic view over the whole palace grounds and Beijing in the distance. The palace buildings are incredible too, with their curved roofs and bright colors.Of course, no trip to Beijing is complete without eating some delicious Chinese food. My mouth waters just thinking about the dumplings, noodles, Peking duck, and other yummy dishes! The best place to try food is the night markets, where you can walkaround tasting different snacks and meals from little street vendor stalls. My favorite treats are the candied strawberries and the freshly-made jianbing crepes. Everything is just so flavorful and delicious.Beijing also has some cool museums, like the Beijing National Museum and the Palace Museum inside the Forbidden City. I love seeing all the ancient Chinese artifacts, learning about their history, and studying the old writings and paintings. It brings lessons from school textbooks to life right in front of me.One random thing I really like about Beijing is seeing the old neighborhoods called hutongs. They are mazes of tiny alleys and courtyard homes where regular people have lived for centuries. It's like a step back in time exploring these areas. I always try to pick up some unique souvenirs and snacks from the little shops in the hutongs. At night, Beijing absolutely glows with sparkling lights and energy. Many families and friends gather in parks and public squares to hang out, dance, play games, or just enjoy being outside together. There are so many people out having fun! Wangfujing is a big pedestrian shopping street that stays open late. It's awesome walking around looking at all the bright neonsigns, stores selling everything you could imagine, and snacking on tasty street food.Overall, Beijing is just an endlessly fascinating city to visit. I could talk about it all day! Between the world famous sights like the Forbidden City and Great Wall, the delectable food, the traditional hutong neighborhoods, the museums, the lively night atmosphere, and more, there's something for everyone. Beijing gives you a amazing look into China's rich history and culture in one amazing travel destination. I can't wait to go back!篇4My Favorite Travel City: Beijing!Ni hao! That's how you say hello in Chinese. My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I love traveling with my family to cool cities around the world. But my number one favorite place that we've gone is Beijing, China! It's the capital city and it's AMAZING. I had so much fun there and I can't wait to tell you all about it.First of all, Beijing is so old! Can you believe the city was founded over 3,000 years ago in 1045 BC? That's like ancient times! There are so many old buildings and historic places to see. My favorite was for sure the Forbidden City. It's this giganticpalace complex right in the middle of Beijing where the emperors of China used to live a long, long time ago.The Forbidden City is made up of 980 surviving buildings with almost 9,000 rooms! It's supposed to be the largest ancient palatial structure in the world. When you go there, you walk in through this huge gate with a ramp leading up to it. The gate is called the Meridian Gate and it's bright red with gold decorations on the roof. Red and gold are super lucky colors in Chinese culture.Inside the Forbidden City, everything is laid out perfectly straight in a giant rectangle. There are lots of smaller palaces and gardens connected by courtyards and pathways. All the roofs have these funny little statues on the corners that look like dogs or lions. My dad told me they are supposed to be mythical beast creatures that ward off evil spirits! How cool is that?We spent an entire day wandering around just part of the Forbidden City grounds. I loved looking at all the ancient architecture and intricate decorations on everything. We even got to go inside some of the palace throne rooms where the emperors would sit. My brother and I definitely played king and queen for a little while! After the Forbidden City, my favorite spot was the Great Wall of China. This massive wall snakes alllll the way across northern China for thousands of miles! We didn't hike the whole thing of course, but we did a little section at a place called Badaling. I could not believe how steep the stairs were to climb up onto the wall. It must have been so hard for the ancient people to build this gigantic thing by hand! From the top of the Great Wall, you can see it stretching across the mountains into the distance. It looks like a giant green dragon slithering over the peaks. No wonder it's one of the man-made wonders of the world! I loved exploring the watchtowers and walking along the wall itself. My legs were definitely tired after all those stairs though.Beijing has so much other cool stuff too besides just historic sites. Have you ever heard of the Summer Palace? It used to be this gigantic garden and lake area where the emperors would go to beat the heat in summer. They had incredible gardens, pavilions, temples, and a massive man-made lake called Kunming Lake. We took a fun boat tour around the lake and my brother and I pretended we were imperial explorers sailing off into the distance!Another awesome part of Beijing is the food - oh my gosh, the food was DELICIOUS! We got to eat so many different kinds of dumplings, noodle dishes, hot pots, and more. My favorite was definitely the jianbing for breakfast. It's kind of like a Chinese crepe or burrito, with an egg cooked right onto the wrap with chili sauce, crispy wonton crackers, and some kind of meat or veg filling. I could have eaten it for every meal! We did get to try things like scorpions and silkworm larvae from the street food stalls too, but I wasn't super into that.I also loved wandering around all the markets and shopping areas in Beijing. We went to this really old district called Liulichang that is famous for its antique stores and cute little shops. I bought a bunch of fun souvenirs like jade bracelets, paper fans, and little clay figurines. We also checked out the Shuzhishi Hutong neighborhood, which had these awesome winding alleys lined with courtyard homes, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and indie boutiques. Such a cool vibe!At night, Beijing comes alive in really colorful ways too! We went to see this incredible acrobat show one evening at the Chaoyang Theatre. The performers were SO bendy and did all these crazy flips, contortions, juggling acts and more. My favorite was definitely the motorbike globe act where they ride littlemotorcycles spelling around inside a giant hollow metal sphere - ahh, I still don't know how they didn't crash into each other! We also visited this artistic nighttime neighborhood called 798 Art District which had all kinds of contemporary galleries, exhibitions, sculptures, and murals. The whole place used to be an industrial factory area, but now it's transformed into this bohemian hub of culture and creativity. I loved all the bright colors, funky art installations, and fun underground vibe. We even got to watch a Chinese dance troupe perform one evening!I could honestly go on and on about all the amazing things to do in Beijing. From history to culture to food and beyond, it was jam-packed with incredible experiences everywhere we turned. I made so many wonderful memories exploring both the ancient wonders and modern delights of Beijing with my family. I felt like a little emperor or empress getting to roam all around China's grand capital city!If you ever get the chance to visit Beijing, you absolutely must go. Just don't forget to pack your walking shoes - there's so much ground to cover in this dynamic, thrilling,thousand-year-old city. I already can't wait to go back and explore more. Zai jian!篇5My Favorite Tourist City BeijingHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite city in the whole wide world - Beijing, the capital of China! I went there last summer with my mom, dad, and little brother and it was the best trip ever. Beijing is the coolest place and I can't wait to go back again someday.Beijing is a really really old city, like over 3,000 years old! Can you believe people have been living there for that long? It's amazing. The city used to be home to emperors who ruled over China from these incredible palace buildings. The most famous one is called the Forbidden City and it's humongous! When we visited the Forbidden City, I felt like I had gone back in time. The palaces are all made out of beautiful carved wood and there are these bright yellow glazed roof tiles everywhere. My favorite part was the huge thrones where the emperors used to sit. The thrones were so fancy and decorated with dragons and phoenixes. I wished I could sit on one and pretend to be an emperor for a day!Inside the Forbidden City, there were all these courtyards connected by long hallways with pretty painted beams. It waslike a maze trying to find our way around! We saw incredible artworks and treasures that used to belong to the royal families too. I couldn't believe how ornate and detailed everything was, from the tiniest vases to the biggest statues. No wonder it was "Forbidden" - it was too precious for ordinary people to go inside back then. After the Forbidden City, my favorite spot was this humongous plaza area called Tiananmen Square. It's one of the biggest public squares in the world! We took fun pictures trying to look tiny compared to all the huge buildings and monuments around us. There were lots of street performers and people flying kites too. We even saw the Tiananmen Gate which has a giant portrait of Chairman Mao hanging on it. My dad told me he was a very important leader in China's history.Of course, no trip to Beijing would be complete without seeing the Great Wall of China! We had to take a bus ride out of the city to get there. When I first laid eyes on the Great Wall snaking across the huge mountainsides, I couldn't believe people actually built that hundreds of years ago. No machines, just tons and tons of workers! We climbed up and walked along the wall and I felt like I was on top of the world. The views across the green forests and valleys were breathtaking.Building the Great Wall must have been incredibly hard work. Parts of it are really steep, and the stairs are uneven. My legs were jelly by the time we stopped for a snack break! But it was so cool getting to walk where ancient guards patrolled and watching towers dot the landscapes. You could see why they built it - to protect the towns and cities from invaders coming over the mountains. I tried to imagine mighty armies marching across there long ago. Pretty neat, huh?Beijing had the most amazing food too. We ate at all these little hole-in-the-wall restaurants where the chefs make everything fresh. My favorite dish was Beijing Duck - you take these thin pancakes and stuff them with crispy duck skin, green onions, and sweet bean sauce. It's mind-blowingly delicious! We also tried dumplings, noodles, stir fries - you name it. For dessert, we'd get sweet soups or chocolatey fried dough sticks. I probably gained ten pounds from eating so much, but it was worth it.Whenever we were tired from walking around the city, we'd relax at these beautiful parks and gardens. The Chinese really value nature and plant life. One park we went to had absolutely massive sculpted bonsai trees that were hundreds of years old! There were also gemstone gardens with boulders and rockscarved into cool animal shapes. Another time we explored the gardens at the Summer Palace, an emperor's vacation estate. There were colorful peonies, koi ponds, arched bridges, and even a giant marble boat just for decoration! So peaceful and pretty.Beijing has something for everyone - incredible historical sites, fun outdoor activities, fascinating cultural experiences, and of course unforgettable food. I could go on and on about this amazing city. We bought tons of souvenirs like jade bracelets, Chinese calligraphy paintings, and silk robes. Whenever I look at the stuff in my room, I'm transported right back to the busy streets of Beijing.I have so many wonderful memories from our trip. Maybe one day I'll be able to take my own kids there and share the magic of Beijing with them too. It's a city that's thousands of years old yet continues evolving and modernizing with awesome skyscrapers and public parks. Beijing is the true heart of China and a must-visit for any world traveler. I'm excited to go back and explore more someday! Thanks for reading about my awesome Beijing adventure. I hope you'll get to experience this incredible city for yourself too. Until next time!。
