Amy的妈妈告诉他，Amy 在书房里。
以此为背景呈现居室名称类词汇：bedroom, study, living room, kitchen, bathroom。
询问物品或人物在哪里的句型：Where is ...? Is she in the ...?Let’s do 是个与居室和活动相关的指令性活动。
包括：Go to the living room. Watch TV. Go to the kitchen. Have a snack等等内容。
学生首先要熟悉这些居室的名称，还要了解这些动词短语的意思和读音，并能将两者正确地匹配起来。
可以在教学中设计一些活动，让学生熟悉、操练这些内容。
本课时内容为重点话题的词汇支撑。
引导学生创设虚拟的情景来进行交流，在交流中掌握新学习的知识，提高自己的语言表达能力。
二、学情分析本课的教学对象是学过一年英语的四年级学生，此阶段学生天真活泼，好奇心强，有较强的模仿能力和求知欲望，而且富有一定的逻辑思维能力，对英语的喜欢已初步体现出个性。
但是本班学生的整体基础较差，在单词的学习过程中，容易出现发音不到位或发音不准确的语音错误，需要反复的朗读练习。

发展学生自主学习的能力和合作精神是小学英语教学的基本任务。
本节课，让学生在教师的指导下，通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式，实现学习的目标，感受成功，形成积极的学习态度，使学生在实际情境中自然运用所学对话，增强学生运用语言的能力。
学情分析经过了两年的学习，大部分同学的英语水平有了很大的提高，学习兴趣浓厚，上课能积极参与到英语学习中来，大部分同学的口语表达流利，能用所学知识进行简单的日常交流，不少同学词汇积累丰富，甚至可以用英语进行简单的写话了，这是他们取得的可喜进步。
但是随着教材难度的提高，学生英语学习量的差异，在英语学习中已经出现了两极分化的现象。
本单元对房间的学习与认识也是学生很感兴趣的一个话题，这些都有利于新知识的教学。
同时，学生在学习第一单元classroom之后，对学习本课的Let’s learn就具有一定的知识基础，所以要把握好这个度。
学生对这个单元的障碍主要是一些难的单词的发音，比如bathroom。
因此,教学活动设计要以此为突破点，扎实提高学生的综合语言运用能力。
教材分析本单元主要围绕家里的居室以及相关设施展开的，穿插着简单的交际用语，配上色彩丰富的图画，给人耳目一新的感觉，激发了学生的学习动机和学习兴趣。
本课时是PEP小学英语四年级上册第四单元A部分第二课时Let’s learn & Let’s do的内容。
通过一幅温馨的家庭居室内部场景图呈现的。
要求学生能够听说认读study, bathroom, bedroom, living room, kitchen并能在实际情景中进行运用，Where’s Amy?Is she in the study?Yes,she is.进行询问并回答。
