based robust locality structure preserving method for face recognition” for consideration by the Optical Engineering.
We confirm that this work is original and has not been published elsewhere nor is it currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
In this paper, we report on a new method for face recognition. This is significant because we improved the conventional locality structure preserving method, which greatly preserved the local structure of the samples after dimensionality reduction in face recognition. Owing the considerable differences of face image in real-word application, we also proposed a scheme to increase the robustness for noisy samples. The experiment results proved that our proposed method performed the highest recognition rates even in a low dimension. The paper should be of interests to readers in the areas of pattern recognition.
